With temperatures hovering in the 80s and humidity between 34 and 39 for Saturday and Sunday, Montrealers will need to stay hydrated and cool to weather the city’s impressive heatwave.
“Drink plenty of water before you feel thirsty and stay cool. Reduce your heat risks. Organize your outdoor activities during the coolest hours of the day,” Environment Canada said in a public alert.
The federal authority announced that the nights will also be uncomfortable with temperatures around 20°C.
Environment Canada has also issued severe thunderstorm warnings for several regions in the province, including Montreal, Quebec and Sherbrooke.
