As we approach record high temperatures at the end of February, Quebecers can look forward to mild weather this Monday, but with precipitation in most parts of the province.
The week will therefore start with snow and rain showers and end at midday in Montreal and the surrounding area, where temperatures of 6 degrees are expected according to Environment Canada forecasts.
In western Quebec, the snow showers have already stopped in the morning, giving way to a clearing with temperatures of minus 3 degrees, especially in Abitibi-Témiscamingue.
On the other hand, several sectors in the center of the province will face snow showers, sometimes heavy, leaving some accumulations of snow on the ground, as will be the case in Quebec and Saguenay.
The weather will be generally cloudy in eastern Quebec, but certain sections of the north coast are at risk of accumulating more than 5 centimeters of snow in places during the day Monday.
There will be quite a contrast on Tuesday: sunshine in southern Quebec and snow showers in certain areas in the eastern part of the province.
The mercury will rise in certain regions at risk of breaking temperature records, particularly in Outaouais and Estrie, where the federal agency expects 15 degrees on the thermometer, while in Montreal it will be 10 degrees.
