Weather in Quebec: Heat wave continues, some clouds expected

The weather promises to be unpredictable across the province, with alternations of sun and cloud set to continue throughout Saturday. One thing remains stable: the heat wave continues in certain areas, particularly in southern Quebec.

According to Environment Canada forecasts, we can expect a chance of showers and a risk of thunderstorms in the Montreal area this afternoon. The sky will sway under a rotation of sun and clouds. The Humidex factor increases the temperature to what feels like 35 degrees.

Montérégie, the Laurentians, Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Estrie, Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean and the Capitale-Nationale will experience the same alternation of sun and clouds as the metropolis. The Humidex factor will decrease in certain sectors, such as Abitibi-Témiscamingue (29 degrees) or the Laurentians (27 degrees).

For the residents of the Outaouais, the sky will remain more stable with clouds. There is no risk of precipitation or thunderstorms, the temperature remains at 27 degrees and rises to 34 degrees with the Humidex factor.

The north coast has slightly cooler weather with a temperature of 26°C in Baie-Comeau (32°C with Humidex). Sept-Îles will have a lower Humidex factor of what feels like 28 degrees. No rain is planned for this region, but some clearing is expected.

A heat warning issued by Environment Canada remains in effect. The regions of Montreal, Montérégie, Estrie and Capitale-Nationale are particularly affected.
