Despite the start of the leaf fall season, Quebecers can still enjoy the good summer weather that has been prevailing for several days.
Due to an atmospheric blockage, this pattern of fine, dry weather has caused mercury levels to rise with temperatures above seasonal norms in most parts of the province.
In southern Quebec, the weather will be generally sunny and maximum temperatures will reach 21 degrees, like in Montreal, or even higher in other areas, such as the Outaouais, according to Environment Canada forecasts.
In the rest of the province the sun shines generously and the temperatures are pleasant, especially in Quebec, in Estrie and even in areas a little further north such as Saguenay, where the temperature is 22 degrees.
The same topo is expected in the eastern sectors of Quebec with sunny weather and azure skies, but the mercury temperature will be slightly lower, especially on the north coast, where maximum temperatures will not exceed 18 degrees in places.
The federal agency expects even better weather conditions with sunshine and rising temperatures for the rest of the week and even next weekend, as they could exceed 23 or 24 degrees in Montreal.
