New Delhi:
Following Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk’s hostile takeover of Twitter in a $44 billion deal, the internet has been buzzing with speculation about what’s in store for recently appointed CEO Parag Agrawal. However, Mr Agrawal appears confident in his future with the company. At least, that’s what he seems to be projecting through replies to tweets on the subject.
In Twitter user Suhail’s insightful post on the Indian-origin CEO’s previous plans for the social media giant, Mr Agrawal indicated that there was nothing to worry about and “what matters most is the service and the people, who improve it”.
“I feel for the current CEO of Twitter (@paraga) – he had all these plans and is now living with the same uncertainty as his entire team,” Mr Suhail tweeted.
The Twitter CEO responded with thanks and appeared to dismiss the concerns.
“Thanks, but don’t feel with me. What matters most is the service and the people who improve it,” he said.
Thanks, but don’t feel for me. What matters most is the service and the people who improve it.

Mr Agrawal had last night set out his vision for the company before taking over the top position and expressed pride in his colleagues who continue to work “with focus and urgency despite the noise”.
“I took this job to change Twitter for the better, correcting course where needed and strengthening the service. Proud of our people who remain focused and urgently doing their job despite the noise,” he tweeted.
A spoof account called “Not Parag Agrawal” responded with “I thought we got fired”. The Twitter CEO then made it clear that he and his team were still there.
“No! We’re still here,” he said.
nope! we are still here

Shortly after Mr Musk’s successful bid to buy Twitter, the former CEO of microblogging site Jack Dorsey dropped a series of tweets implying he supports the move. He said Elon Musk is the “unique solution” he trusts to “take her back from Wall Street and the ad model.”
Elon’s goal of creating a platform that is “maximally trustworthy and deeply inclusive” is correct. This is also @Paragahis goal and why I chose him. Thank you both for getting the company out of an impossible situation. This is the right path… I believe in it with all my heart.

He said Mr Musk’s goal of creating a platform that is “maximally trustworthy and comprehensive” is the right one and shared by Parag Agrawal, which is why he chose him as his successor.
