Airline WestJet has decided to temporarily suspend its flights between Montreal and Toronto starting Oct. 28, CTV News has learned.
The Calgary-based airline said it made the decision for efficiency reasons and to expand its presence in eastern Canada this winter.
However, connections between the two major Canadian cities will be restored at the end of April, WestJet assured CTV.
The company currently offers one flight per day between Montreal and Toronto.
Recall that WestJet acquired low-cost carrier Sunwing Airlines last May. The airline plans to integrate it into its operations in the coming years.
