Woman wins R$1.9 million lottery, swaps husband for lover and gets sued

A woman decided to leave her husband of 20 years and trade him in for her lover after winning £300,000 (about R$1.9 million) in a lottery. The case was registered in the city of Isan, Thailand and became public after the dismissed man filed a lawsuit against his exwife.

Days before he returned from a business trip in late February, the man identified as Narin, 47, learned by phone that his exwife had moved and married her lover, according to the British newspaper Daily Star

“I’m disappointed. I didn’t expect my 20 year old wife to do this to me. I only had 60,000 baht [cerca de R$ 9.000] remains in my bank account because I gave her money every month. I want to demand justice and the money I deserve,” Narin said.

The exwife, named Chaweewan, denies the allegations and claims the couple broke up over a phone call many years ago. However, Narin says he traveled to South Korea on business to settle a family debt.

The two were never officially married, but the lawyer claims the angry exhusband is entitled to half of his wife’s earnings and that family members can confirm their longterm relationship.
