  • Ye, formerly Kanye West, apologized “to the Jewish community” on Tuesday.

  • Previous outbursts, including “I like Hitler,” led to brands cutting ties with the rapper.

  • On Tuesday, he posted an apology in Hebrew on Instagram.

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, apologized to “the Jewish community” in a post written in Hebrew and posted to his Instagram following a series of anti-Semitic outbursts.

The rapper made several anti-Semitic statements last year, including saying he would engage in “murder crime 3 against Jewish people” and telling conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, “I like Hitler.”

The outbursts led many brands to cut ties, including Adidas, which ended its collaboration on selling Yeezy sneakers.

His comments were widely condemned at the time, including by his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, who did not name him but said in a tweet that she stood with the Jewish community.

Earlier this month, Ye was filmed railing against people he accused of being behind his downfall, saying “Jesus Christ, Hitler, Ye,” according to Rolling Stone.

No specific statement or incident is mentioned in his apology released Tuesday morning.

“I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community,” West wrote, adding that he had no intention to “hurt or demean.”

“I deeply regret any pain I may have caused,” he said, adding that he was determined “to learn from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding.”

He continued, “Your forgiveness is important to me and I am committed to making amends and promoting unity.”

The title track of Ye's latest album “Vultures” references his previous comments with the lyrics: “How I'm anti-Semitic? “I just fucked a Jewish bitch.”
