Zack Snyder In the last few days he has circulated an announcement on his social profiles concerning his for the developed projects DC Expanded Universe.
This surprised many fans and created some uncertainty both among those eagerly awaiting the new DC Universe written by James Gunn and Peter Safran, and among those still fervently hoping for some sort of sequel to the cinematic narrative branch commonly referred to as “Snyder Vers“.
However, in the last few hours, Snyder has confirmed that he has organized a specific convention in partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures. The event named SnyderCon 2023 In honor of the director, plans for IMAX screenings in two California theaters of DCEU films he directed, such as The Man of Steel (2013), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and the groundbreaking Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021). The event lasts three days and takes place from April 28th to 30th.
The initiative aims to raise funds for the AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention), an association Snyder has been a strong supporter of since the loss of his teenage daughter Autumn, who committed suicide in 2017. The director also commented in the post all his gratitude versus the large writing in the post, “Thank you Warner Bros. for all your support and making this happen.”

However, the eye-catching poster of the well-known Superman statue has made its way into the post stimulated the imagination of die-hard SnyderVerse fans, who resented Warner Bros.’ decision not to reinstate Zack Snyder’s Justice League, the film’s original vision as conceived by the director, into the DC Extended Universe canon.
According to a certain theory, the left hand of the Superman monument would be open to indicate i originally planned five films of Snyder’s plans. The statue’s right hand—not fully open—shows instead three fingers curled in and two fingers curled outward. According to the fan theory discussed here, this particular arrangement of the fingers would point to the Snyder and them movies still missing.
In fact, Snyder’s project called for realization in order of Man of Steel, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and a whole Justice League Trilogyintended to represent the first episode of Zack Snyder’s Justice League, known by fans as the Snyder Cut to distinguish it from the unsuccessful film adaptation released by Warner Bros. in 2017.

The hashtags #SellZSJLtoNetflix and #SellSnyderVerseToNetflix prominently displayed on the poster indicate the desire of die-hard SnyderVerse fans to see the director’s vision entrusted to Netflix. In fact, the streaming giant has struck a deal with Zack Snyder to create content for the platform, including movies like Army of the Dead and the long-awaited sci-fi blockbuster rebel moon.
However, the contingency that Warner Bros. and the newborn DC Studios could allow such latitude for some of their most prestigious intellectual property rights – one at that direct competitor – is decidedly distant and seems to have the contours of a utopia in every respect.
