Zendaya’s “image architect” Law Roach has finally broken his silence on his shocked resignation to angrily deny the actress forced him to quit his job – after a video surfaced of him being “rude” at a Fashion Show was relegated to a second row seat before making his surprise announcement.
The 26-year-old actress was caught on camera taking a front row seat next to Emma Stone at Louis Vuitton’s Paris Fashion Week show, before leading her longtime stylist to an empty chair behind.
The clip sparked a heated debate on social media, with dozens of commenters slamming Zendaya for not “showing him respect” – some suggesting the awkward moment was the catalyst behind Roach’s shock resignation, 44 was.
However, the stylist has now spoken out in favor of vehemently defending Zendaya, dismissing any hint of a feud between them while referring to her as his “little sister”.
Zendaya came under furious scrutiny after a video surfaced of her stylist Law Roach being asked to back row at a Louis Vuitton runway show
Roach glanced up and down the front row, searching for an opening, before Zendaya glanced over her shoulder and gestured for him to sit behind her
Following the intense social media outcry, Roach broke his silence to angrily deny the pair had fallen out – but gave no further information on why he quit his fashion job
“So y’all really think I’m breaking up with Z… we’re forever!” he wrote on Twitter, adding in a second post, “She’s my little sister and it’s real love not fake industrial love.”
He then posted a third tweet with a GIF of two little girls in a flower meadow with the words “You and me need to break up” and wrote next to it, “Literally me and Zendaya…”
Roach’s posts come after the video of Zendaya appearing to have dumped him at the Louis Vuitton show earlier this month sparked angry speculation that she was to blame for his decision to leave the fashion industry – a decision by which he claimed it was the result of ‘the politics, the lies and the false narratives.’
In the clip, captured earlier this month, Zendaya can be seen drawing attention as she enters the Musée d’Orsay ahead of the show.
The star, who wore an animal print co-ordinate with a bikini top and cropped shorts, then giggles as she takes a front row seat next to Emma Stone.
But just a few steps behind is Roach – the man behind Zendaya’s incredible red carpet looks – who stops and stands directly in front of the actresses.
He looks up and down the line, searching for an opening before Zendaya takes a quick look over her shoulder.
She sees an empty seat in the row behind and motions for Roach to take it – but he doesn’t seem convinced.
The fashion star burst onto Instagram on Tuesday, saying he’s had enough of “the politics, the lies, and the false narratives” in the fashion world
After he shared the news, furious speculation began about the couple’s awkward interaction at the Louis Vuitton show in Paris on March 6
But the video’s 13 seconds were enough to spark a heated debate on social media – in one camp there were those who criticized the Euphoria star for not doing more
The clip ends before viewers see the conclusion of the exchange, although it was later revealed in a follow-up video that Law secured a front-row seat.
But the 13-second video was more than enough to spark heated debate on social media.
In one camp there were those who slammed the Euphoria Star because it didn’t do more.
One wrote: “In my opinion, the moment Zendaya saw that Law Roach didn’t have a seat next to her in the front row, she should have left the show and gotten on the phone.
“Sometimes sacrifice comes with standing up for people who have your back, and that was her moment to stand up for him.”
Another quipped, “Zendaya should have offered Law her seat if sitting in the second row wasn’t a big deal.”
And a third said: “We love Zendaya in her roles but we have to hold her accountable.
“That was an ugly move to point backwards when your stylist was expecting a seat next to you.”
But others rushed to the actress’ defense by pointing out that there was nothing she could have done and that all the seats were allocated by the brand.
Someone commented, “Louis Vuitton disrespects Law Roach by not having a front row seat for him – but Zendaya is the rude one?”
His resignation sent shockwaves through the fashion industry — and sparked furious speculation that his relationship with Zendaya (seen together in 2021) had taken a rough road

Another said: “There was nothing Zendaya could have done here except sit in her *assigned* seat as she was supposed to.
“The fault is that the Personal Law didn’t direct him to his proper place and left him so awkwardly in front of it.”
One added, “I’m obviously confused by the ‘Zendaya should have given up her seat’ discourse”.
has reached out to Zendaya’s spokesperson for comment.
The video resurfaced following Roach’s shock retirement, just days after he dressed a slew of stars for the Vanity Fair Oscars party, including Kerry Washington, Megan Thee Stallion, Hunter Schafer, Hailee Steinfeld and Eve Jobs.
He posted a picture to Instagram of a red sign that read “RETIRED” in large white letters.
“My cup is empty…thanks to everyone who has supported me and my career over the years. Every person who has entrusted their picture to me, I am so grateful to you all,” he wrote in the caption.
“If this business was all about clothes I would do it for the rest of my life, but unfortunately it’s not!” he added.
“The politics, the lies and false narratives finally got me! You win…I’m out.”
It has since been claimed that Zendaya’s alleged appointment as Louis Vuitton’s newest ambassador may have been a catalyst in his decision to step down, according to Highsnobiety.
Roach has yet to comment on his post-retirement plans, sparking speculation he may have something big in the works.
