Beauty guru Zoë Foster Blake has revealed a simple skincare regime for 10-year-olds as more children start using anti-aging creams and serums due to social media pressure.
Comedian Hamish Blake's wife shared a video on Instagram explaining that the only products tweens should use are a cleanser, a hydrating serum and a sunscreen.
She added that she wasn't surprised that kids were buying expensive products at stores like Sephora or Mecca, but cautioned against anything containing retinol and peptides.
'[Young children] buy really expensive products. And if I was 10 years old and had access to social media, I would do the same thing, I would do anything an influencer would tell me to do,” she said.
“I don’t think anyone does [under 14] should use retinol or very expensive peptides.

“These products can be saved for later as they have no pigmentation, fine lines or aging.” “You have beautiful skin, so all you need to do is keep it moisturized and protected from the sun.”
She then recommended products from her skincare line, including the Juicy Gel Gentle Gel Cleanser, Face Hero Face Oil, and an SPF.
Zoë captioned the video: “Here's my take as a skincare founder on 10-year-olds' buying serums, including the exact routine and products I think tweens and teens really need.” (With specific references.) In short: very few.'
“Do teenagers need skin care?” Usually not! Will they still use it? Pretty sure!'
“So let’s make sure they’re using the right tools and teach them self-care habits that will benefit them throughout their lives.”
Zoë founded her skincare brand Go-To in 2014 and sold her 51.5 percent stake in the company to BWX for $89 million in 2021.

After the sale, she continued as chief creative officer and director of Go To Skincare.
Unfortunately, BWX suffered losses of $335 million in the 2021-2022 fiscal year when mining magnate Andrew Forrest stepped in to save the company.
In December, Zoë bought back her shares in Go-To Skincare for a fraction of the price she sold two years ago.
According to documents filed with ASIC, Foster Blake and Go-To co-founder Paul Bates have bought back their majority stake in the company for just $21.8 million.
