For 20 years now, singles looking for love have taken part in the great adventure Occupation Double. Some had to return home empty-handed, others found love both on the show and after their trip and even started families. To find out how their lives have changed since the children arrived, Narcity interviewed former OD participantswho are now parents.
Carl Lacourse and Andréanne Moran from OD Chez Nous, for example, had the first child in the new version of Occupation Doublewhich have united all editions since 2017. Others like Andrew O’Reilly, winner of the Greece season, or Alexandra Giroux from the South African edition also welcomed their little darling after the reality show.
Andréanne and Carl from OD Chez Nous
Andréanne Moran and Carl Lacourse met while attending OD Chez Nous in 2020 and the duo has been hooked ever since. In September 2021, the couple announced a baby would be born of their love, and in April 2022, Chad was born with a C. Narcity contacted Andréanne to find out how her family life is going with her two husbands:
“Family life is going really well, to be honest. Carl is a super good father, he really helps me a lot, he is super dedicated, we really can do it together. We have an amazing baby, Chad really adapts to everything […], it makes being a parent a lot easier. If you asked Carl [s’il voudrait d’autres enfants], Carl would tell you he wants a third one, if you ask me that’s not a hard no, but it’s not a real yes either. It is certain that if we had a third there would certainly be a little more difference than 18 months. »
Chad’s mother explained that she and her partner had no problem raising their child in public:
“It really doesn’t change anything, of course we still have to go back to the reality that we were just on Occupation Double.” […]we’re still not Celine Dion [et] that you have to be accompanied [lorsqu’on sort]. We really show what we want, we don’t put any pressure on ourselves. »
As for the biggest challenge, Andréanne explains that it’s the lack of independence:
“As a mother, I certainly don’t have that little time alone anymore.” […] and I have a little human under my care all the time, I’d tell you those tend to be the big challenges […]. It was more of a challenge at first, but I’ve adapted and it’s going really well. »
She concludes by saying that one of the positive aspects of motherhood is falling back on childhood and discovering unconditional love for a little being. In April 2023, a year after the birth of their first child, the parents announced that Andréanne was pregnant for the second time.
For the future, Andréanne specifies that she does not intend to send her children to daycare before they start school because she wants to spend as much time with them as possible.
Yannick and Alexandra from OD In the West
During their participation in the Occupation Double Dans l’Ouest, there was no match between Alexandra Lapierre and Yannick Martel as Yannick dropped out in the early weeks of the adventure and Alexandra became interested in Robin Messier. However, after Alexandra was eliminated, Yannick sent her a private message, marking the beginning of their relationship.
In May 2022, the couple surprised many people by announcing the imminent birth of a baby, and on October 19, Logan was born. We contacted Yannick and Alexandra to find out how their new life as a threesome went:
“Family life is going really well, I can’t comment on that. It is certain that I would love to have a little girl in my life. Are we in a hurry? NO. will we have one [deuxième] Soon? NO. It’s not in the plans, but we’re giving ourselves time to adjust to having a kid,” Yannick explained.
“Of course there are discussions, there are also arguments from time to time. Yannick works for him a lot in the summer so we definitely see less of him and in the winter the nice thing is that we can really travel more and so spend more time with the family. It’s for sure that I would like to have more children in the long run, but we go from day to day,” added Alexandra.
As for raising their child as a high-profile couple, Alexandra and Yannick don’t mind:
“Even if you’re not in the audience […]it’s sure to get comments from a lot of people and comments that aren’t necessarily [désirés]. It’s still good seriously […], but we won’t show our whole life. said the mother.
For her professional projects, Yannick is mainly focused on the house he bought in Florida and Alexandra is an ambassador for a company in Quebec and will be back at Air Canada in just over a year.
Louis Philippe of OD Bali
Louis-Philippe Lacroix may not have found love during his Occupation Double Bali adventure, but he was stung by Cupid’s arrow outside of reality TV. In the summer of 2018 he met his lover Geneviève and it was only in 2021 that he revealed to his fans that he would become a father. His daughter Samie is almost two years old at the time of writing and the former contestant confirmed that family life is going well:
“Samie is very easygoing and very outgoing, we have a baby who is doing well and most importantly healthy. Do I plan to have more children? Yes, theoretically two, maximum one second, probably a second one would come soon. »
Louis-Philippe concludes that what he loves most about being a father is his unconditional love for his daughter and vice versa. On a professional level, both his gym and his clientele are currently keeping him on his toes.
Emilia from OD Chez Nous
OD Chez Nous’ Émilia Giguère also failed to find love during her editing, despite her brief interest in Jamie. Back in her daily routine, she reunited with Patrick, a date she met before the show, and the duo announced in November 2021 that they were becoming parents. Little Lennox was born on May 10th, 2022 and Narcity contacted Emilia to find out what her day-to-day life as a mother was like:
“Lennox turned one year old on May 10th. So I would say that the first year was a big adjustment for new parents (my boyfriend and I). Before he was a year old, I had a hard time going back to work because he had 100% of my attention. Then I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to find a daycare center until I got back to school. Finally we were very lucky! We found a good, subsidized family daycare near Lennox’s house.
“We don’t expect to have a second child in three years. Not until I finish my studies. If we then have a second child, we would like to adopt him. We have already started looking at adoption processes and comparing the options available privately or through an agency. »
When it comes to raising her child in public, the former contestant has made it clear that she is keeping her boyfriend’s identity and her son’s face a secret for fear of judgment:
“Those who follow me know that I keep my private life and the identities of my boyfriend and my child very private. For what? Because in social media, the verdict can be extremely quick and cruel. Some people, not all, but some think their education is the best. The reality is that there are as many ways to raise a child as there are children and mothers in the world.
“I welcome all the good comments as well as the bad ones, I take some and I leave some because my community is really beautiful and positive. To be honest I would love to show my boy more on social media but I’m still happy with my decision not to show him. »
The former reality TV contestant confirmed to us that she will begin her career transition in the coming months as she begins her nursing degree in Fall 2023.
Anne-Catherine and Cédrick from OD Chez Nous

As the baby’s first birthday approaches, Narcity spoke to Anne-Catherine to find out a little more about their new life as a foursome, as Cédrick is already the father of a little girl from a previous marriage:
“It’s always chaos, but in love it’s a beautiful mess. We are always busy and love spending time with family. For us, family life is the most important thing, it gives us a good balance. It is believed [avoir un deuxième enfant]. Certainly not immediately, we have too many projects, but we are not closed to the idea of expanding the family again. »
Anne-Catherine has no problem showing off her little family life on social networks, as people on their part always show respect for them:
“I haven’t had a bad experience raising a child in public. We don’t always show the hardest, that’s clear, because during this time I’m busy addressing the needs of what’s going wrong! People are friendly and respectful, we love meeting them. »
Being a mother isn’t always easy, and the former participant explains that her daily challenge is constant worrying. However, having a child means an endless dose of love for her every day.
