After an accident that left fans injured, Ivete said the lockdown has strengthened security for the singer’s return to Avenue G1

Ivete says the group will take extra care to avoid another accident in Fortal

Singer Ivete Sangalo (23) commented this Sunday on the accident with fans on Saturday evening in Fortal in Fortaleza, in which revelers were injured. As the electric trio made a turn on the avenue with the singer, the revelers were pinned against a containment structure.

In reports and videos posted on social media, event attendees showed the injuries and complained about the postincident care.

“There was an incident, some people were very injured. According to the information I got from the board, we could stay there for a while and then continue the blockade,” he said. “I want to express the importance of my safety, your safety and this joy,” he continued.

Ivete regretted the injuries and said safety will be doubled when the singer returns to perform in Fortal this Sunday.

“Today we spent the day in a meeting and the entire board gave me peace of mind so people can have a special evening. Security, always and on the first call, will be even better protected and monitored,” he said.

At the event, the block of revelers will be led by security guards with an iron barrier whose job it is to control the advance of the crowd who are in front, on the sides and behind the electric trio. The audience and the trio form a circle that rotates twice.

According to witnesses, the block that was in front of the Bahia singer’s trio hadn’t completed its route yet, so the track hasn’t been released yet. However, Ivete’s trio would have progressed even without the free space.

As the car advanced and the security barrier tried to stop the crowd from advancing due to the blockade in front of them, Part of the audience was eventually cornered between the vehicle, the fence delimiting the route and the security personnel. In prison, the revelers would have tried to escape and climbed the security barrier, which they would have done caused confusion and injured people.

In a note, Fortal confirmed the accident and said the problem arose after revelers pushed the structure between blocks and security forces tried to contain them. “At that moment, the trio was stopped for the time necessary to normalize everything and continue the trio’s journey normally and without inconvenience,” he points out.

According to the incident, six people suffered minor injuries and received help from security teams. However, the number of people reporting injuries on social networks is greater.

“On the second lap I drove right in front of the trio to avoid getting into a tight corner on the side. “We were pushed between the trio and the security forces with a kind of fence,” said a witness. “I was one of those who fell on the railing and got trampled by a crowd along with three other friends!” “I’m going to the hospital after waiting two hours for a car to pick us up,” wrote another.

Commanded by Ivete, Bloco Village is one of the oldest and most popular in Fortal, an event that celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2023. According to reports, the Bahian had stopped singing at the time of the accident and was waiting for help for the injured to resume the show.
