João Gordo recalled a fight he had with Chorão at the time of MTV. The musician took part in the podcast “Podpah” and revealed that after he was attacked by the eternal lead singer of Charlie Brown Jr., he considered killing him.

The confusion between them happened during an awards ceremony on the channel when João was chosen to present one of the categories alongside comedian Dercy Gonçalves.

“I wanted to hang out with her and Chorão hit me. There’s been a fight between us for a few months. In the dark, in the corridor, he passed and nudged me with his elbow. I was like, ‘Son of a bitch, bastard, I’m going to kill this guy!’” he recalled.

João also said that he even picked up a knife. “Then I walked up to a waiter and said, ‘I need to cut a string, do you have a knife I can borrow?’ The guy brought me a machete. Then I don’t know who from the production saw me with the knife and said: “Oh, Gordo is armed!” Of course nothing happened. Am I going to kill Chorão? I was just mad there. .. I handed in the knife,” he revealed.

Despite the beef, João Gordo and Chorão made peace on the same day. The singer apologized to the member of the band “Ratos de Porão” and they became friends. “Crying was a very unstable guy. You could be his best friend or his worst enemy. I’d rather be his friend than his enemy,” he said.
