Audrey Plaza was caught seemingly losing her temper on stage while her White Lotus castmates accepted the SAG Award for Best Ensemble in a Drama Series.
Despite her hit TV show being one of the most competitive categories of the evening, the 38-year-old actress was accused of looking “annoyed” and “pissed off” as she stood alongside Theo James, Meghann Fahy and Will Sharpe Jon Gries.
While it’s unclear what upset the Parks and Recreation alum, Gries was seen whispering something in her ear that many believed may have warned her she was about to have a wardrobe malfunction.
After their conversation, she immediately matched her daring gold gown with a criss-cross halter neckline that revealed much of her underbust.
Their moody behavior coincided with As F. Murray Abraham’s speech, which ended with him sending a “prayer to the earthquake victims in Syria and Turkey and a prayer for peace in Ukraine and Russia” and “Union forever shouted.

As the audience erupted in applause and the cast of White Lotus congratulated each other with big hugs, Plaza seemed to awkwardly say “Jesus Christ” to himself.
Along with her on-screen husband, Will Sharpe, she was one of the first of the cast to leave the stage as many of her co-stars were still hugging.
Her actions confused many fans on social media as they took to Twitter to discuss her mannerisms.
“What was she upset about?” asked one Twitter user, while another asked “why” she was “so crazy about winning for White Lotus.”
A third insisted the performance “seemed REALLY pissed off” and that “there was something really weird about her on stage with the White Lotus team”.
“She even left the stage quickly and alone instead of staying with the cast,” they continued.
Another couldn’t help but point out that it seemed like Plaza “looked like she was haaaaaas up there and immediately ran off the stage while everyone in the cast congratulated and hugged each other.”
However, she later appeared in better spirits as she posed for a goofy snap with Sharpe and for a group photo with the cast.

Everything Everywhere All At Once nearly swept the film categories at the 29th Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday night as Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Lee Curtis and Ke Huy Quan all took home awards, while Brendan Fraser enjoyed his comeback moment with a tearful speech when he deserved the highest honor.
The American absurdist comedy-drama film also received the night’s top honor for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture at the star-studded event, held at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Century City, California.
The film struck a star cast including: Babylon, The Banshees Of Inisherin, The Fabelmans and Women Talking.
Yeoh, Curtis and Quan all made brief speeches before allowing “patriarch and friend” James Hong to take the mic for most of the closing acceptance speech.
The 94-year-old acting legend said: “I got my first SAG card 70 years ago. My first film was with Clark Gable, but back then I have to tell you that the lead role was played by guys with their eyes taped shut and they talked like that because the producer said Asians aren’t good enough and they don’t make the box office. but look at us now, huh?
Goofy: Later, however, she showed her goofy side when she posed for photos with husband Will Sharpe
“We’re not all Chinese, but Jamie Lee is a good Chinese name… I feel a lot like her and I’ve never had such a good time with those jerks in the movie.”
The film revolves around a middle-aged Chinese immigrant named Evelyn Wang (played by Yeoh) who is drawn into a mad adventure in which she alone can save existence by exploring other universes and connecting with the lives she has could have led.
Yeoh, 60, became the first Asian actress to receive Outstanding Performance by a Female Actress in a Leading Role when she triumphed over: Cate Blanchett – Tar, Viola Davis – The Woman King, Ana de Armas – Blonde and Danielle Deadwyler – Till.
Earlier in the night, Jamie Lee Curtis, 64, gave Yeoh a big hickey just after her name was announced as the winner of the Outstanding Performance by a Supporting Actress category.
Curtis won an impressive field including: Angela Bassett – Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Hong Chau – The Whale, Kerry Condon – The Banshees of Inisherin and Stephanie Hsu – Everything Everywhere All At Once.
Meanwhile, castmate Ke Huy Quan earned Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for the same American absurdist comedy-drama film.
The 51-year-old actor got emotional as he revealed he was the first Asian male actor to ever win the award.
Though Everything Everywhere All At Once received four of the top five film awards, Brendan Fraser emotionally continued his comeback tour when he received top honors, Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role, for The Whale.
Other ensemble nominees included The Bear (which also received a nomination for star Jeremy Allen White) and Hacks (which received an additional nod for its star Jean Smart).
Christina Applegate and Rachel Brosnahan rounded out the female nominees for Dead To Me and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, respectively.
Television films and small series actors were also honored, but only with individual nominations.
Taron Egerton and Golden Globe winner Paul Walter Hauser received nominations for Blackbird, while Evan Peters and Niecy Nash were both nominated for the spooky thriller Dahmer.

The 54-year-old veteran actor broke down in tears during his acceptance speech as he said: “I appreciate that, but never more than I appreciated what I used to keep in my wallet, which was my SAG card, which I earned in 1991 . It made me feel like I belonged.
“As actors we all want to belong to a tribe and that’s when I found where I belong. And if you’d told that guy back then that I was standing right here right now, I wouldn’t have believed you.”
Fraser triumphed over Austin Butler – Elvis, Colin Farrell – The Banshees Of Inisherin, Bill Nighy – Living and Adam Sandler – Hustle.
In The Whale, Brendan portrays Charlie, a reclusive, morbidly obese English teacher trying to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter.
The White Lotus was the biggest winner on the television side as the HBO series won Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series as well as Outstanding Performance by a Female Actress in a Drama Series for Jennifer Coolidge.
The 61-year-old veteran actress got emotional when she recalled a childhood anecdote during her acceptance speech at the 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards.
The White Lotus star, 61, won for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actress in a Drama Series for his portrayal of Tanya in Season 2 of the hit HBO series.
In accepting the honor, the actress first thanked the show’s creator, Mike White, before getting emotional as she spoke about her “amazing parents” and how they inspired her to take action.
Coolidge won against Elizabeth Debicki – The Crown, Julia Garner – Ozark, Laura Linney – Ozark and Zendaya – Euphoria.
The HBO series won the Ensemble Award ahead of Better Call Saul, The Crown, Ozark and Severance.
