A Louisiana mother is looking for answers after her young daughter was “attacked” and left with bite marks and red scratches all over her body after attending a New Orleans preschool.

The incident happened about a week ago at Angel’s Haven Daycare in the city’s Hollygrove area.

Mum Cymande Ford was so distraught that she is now determined to find out what really happened and has gone public in hopes of spurring a response from the daycare.

The first thing Ford knew something was wrong came after a call from the school principal.

When she went to kindergarten, she found her 19-month-old daughter with multiple bite marks on her arms and legs.

The school said the grades were the result of a “fight” with another one-year-old baby who also attends the same school

“Relive it is just a horror,” Ford told News19. ‘I understand [Harley’s] face and it looks like it’s been mauled by a cat so I start screaming, I’m crying, I dropped my purse, and I’m asking what happened. I took Harley and I’m just asking [the school’s director] What happened.’

The director of the daycare told Ford that daughter Harley was involved in a “fight” with another one-year-old.

‘[She has] seven bites in one arm. A couple bites the other arm. She’s wearing pants, but [the 1-year-old] bit through both legs,” explained Ford. “You can see the teeth marks. They are clear and visible.”

Ford immediately took her daughter to the hospital for doctors to examine her.

Ford, who runs her own business, is now concerned about sending Harley back to daycare.

“It was hard enough for me to send my child to kindergarten because I am an entrepreneur. It’s just crazy that this is happening on her third day after something I’ve already struggled with so much,” Ford told WHNT.

The family has since filed a complaint with the New Orleans Police Department and the Department of Children and Family Services is now investigating the matter.

The director of the daycare declined to comment on the issue when contacted by a local news station in the area.

AMMAN, Feb 19 (Portal) – An Israeli rocket attack hit a building in the central Kafr Sousa district near a large, heavily guarded security complex near Iranian facilities early Sunday, killing five people, witnesses and officials said.

The rare, well-aimed strike damaged several buildings in the densely populated neighborhood near Umayyad Square in the heart of the capital, where multi-storey security buildings are located in residential areas.

A police official said in state media there were several casualties and injuries.

A spokesman for the Israeli military declined to comment.

It was not immediately clear if the strike was aimed at a specific person.

The top commander of pro-Iranian Hezbollah, Imad Moughniyeh, was killed in a 2008 bomb attack in Kafr Sousa, a heavily patrolled area that residents say is home to several Iranian security agencies, including a major cultural center.

For nearly a decade, Israel has been conducting airstrikes against suspected Iranian-sponsored arms transfers and personnel deployments in neighboring Syria. Israeli officials have rarely acknowledged responsibility for specific operations.

Iran has increased its military presence in Syria in recent years, gaining a foothold in most state-controlled areas, with thousands of members of militias and local paramilitary groups under its command, Western intelligence sources say.

Israel has also ramped up attacks on Syrian airports and airbases in recent months to disrupt Iran’s increasing use of air supply lines to deliver arms to allies in Syria and Lebanon, including Iran-backed Hezbollah.

The attacks are part of an escalation of a low-intensity conflict aimed at slowing Iran’s growing entrenchment in Syria, Israeli military experts say.

Iran’s proxy militias, led by Lebanon’s Hezbollah, now control vast areas of eastern, southern and northwestern Syria and several suburbs around the capital.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s government has never publicly admitted that Iranian forces are operating on its behalf in Syria’s civil war, saying Tehran only has military advisers on the ground.

Fifteen people were killed in an Israeli attack on a home in Damascus, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (OSDH) said in Beirut on Sunday, February 19. According to this non-governmental organization with an extensive network of sources in Syria, civilians are also among the victims. The deadly attack targeted the Kafr Sousa district, a high-security area in the Syrian capital that houses the headquarters of the security and intelligence services and is home to high-ranking officials from those services.

The Syrian Defense Ministry reported a preliminary figure of five dead, “including one soldier” and fifteen wounded “some in critical condition”. “At 00:22, the Israeli enemy launched an airstrike from the occupied Golan Heights, targeting several areas of Damascus and its surroundings, including residential areas,” the ministry said.

This was “the deadliest Israeli attack on the Syrian capital to date,” said Rami Abdel Rahman, head of the OSDH. According to the official Syrian agency Sana, several buildings were damaged.

No comment from Israel

Since the war in Syria began in 2011, Israel has conducted hundreds of airstrikes in its neighbor, mostly targeting positions of the Syrian army, Iranian forces and Lebanese Hezbollah, allies of the Syrian regime.

The Jewish state rarely comments on its attacks on Syria, but regularly asserts that it will not allow Iran to extend its influence to Israel’s borders.

In the summer of 2022, two civilians were injured in an Israeli attack south of Tartous on Syria’s west coast, according to the Syrian Defense Ministry.
