Sophie of Wessex and Anne of England, King Charles wants them both to know…

The Countess and Princess are promoted by the Sovereign. The first was like a second daughter to Elizabeth. The second has always shown total dedication without asking for anything, not even a title for the children. And Meghan’s ears are ringing

Two women, very different. But very close to Her Majesty, to whom she shared a feeling of total devotion. A daughter and daughter-in-law who are now the new faces of Charles III’s monarchy in light sauce. The Countess of Wessex, Sophie, wife of Prince Edward, and Princess Anne, Elizabeth’s only daughter. Elizabeth of England, London (with the greats of the world) prepares for the funeral – look

! P! Today! IS! 0038.2022! N! 38 COVERS! E! .pdfTHE SOPHIE EMPATHY – Sophie Rhys-Jones, 57, was a PR guru who had opened her own communications agency. She met Edoardo, Elizabeth’s youngest son, while working at Capital Radio in London and married him in 1999. It was not an idyllic time at the Windsors. A late News of the World reporter caught her spreading rumors about politicians and members of the royal family. Caught in error, she closed the agency, gave up her job and devoted herself exclusively to the monarchy. Since then, she has become so close to the Queen that she considered her a second daughter. It’s a secret? Empathy. State that the Windsors have limited supplies. It was the Countess who took the car and drove first to Frogmore Cottage when Archie, son of the Dukes of Sussex, was born in 2019. Without waiting for official invitations, communication between private secretaries and so on. He was simply acting as a “normal” person of the people. Sophie will inherit the title of Duchess of Edinburgh from the Queen, while her husband will become the Duke of Edinburgh, the title bestowed on Prince Philip. A full-fledged promotion that will make it increasingly present. The King, without being able to rely on her brother Andrew and son Harry, wants her to be at the forefront to fill the vacant roles.

Children, grandchildren, titles, poisons and jealousies: this is the family Elisabetta leaves behind – look

THE STRENGTH OF ANNA – He accompanied his mother on her last travels and never left her. He was en route with the coffin from Balmoral to Edinburgh, a six-hour non-stop journey. She also boarded the RAF plane that brought the coffin from Scotland to London. “It was an honor and a privilege to accompany her – she wrote in a statement – I was lucky to witness the last 24 hours of my dear mother.” Anna was already in Balmoral when the Queen was worse off went, and was at his bedside when she died. Discreet, without the eccentricities and hubris of her brother king, Anna has always served the sovereign and the crown with fervor. She works above all (with hundreds of public engagements) every year. He never asked for anything, nor did he want a royal title for his children. Carlo appreciates her very much and wants her to be his advisor and right-hand man together with William. His calm strength will be of great help to him.

Block foreman Keith discovers major defect in Omar and Oz’s bathroom as pair accused of ‘shady acting’ by Ronnie Caceres: ‘I’m really disgusted’

Block contenders Omar and Oz continue to bear the brunt of Foreman Keith Schleiger after a major defect in their blanket was discovered.

On Wednesday’s episode, Keith stopped by to inspect the roof of her winning bathroom and noticed that a ceiling beam had been removed to include a warming light.

The foreman said it was a major safety issue and could eventually cause the gyprock to collapse.

“I found something I didn’t want to see,” he said to the boys. “Actually, I’m disgusted. I’m really angry. I am angry.”

He continued, “There’s a large span of about 1,500mm with no frame around it. An IXL Tastic would weigh a few pounds. It will fall through the plaster.’

Omar and Oz assured Keith that their team was “doing everything by the book,” but he hadn’t.

Keith then pointed out that the ceiling was already sagging by 25mm and the couple had no insulation throughout the house, which had to be done “week after week”.

Then he turned on the boys and accused them of not doing work.

“Every time I see you guys – I’m just being honest here – you’re on the phone. I’ve never seen you hit me. I’ve never seen you cut, nail, screw anything,’ Keith said.

‘No more ridiculous stuff, boys. That must not happen.’

Keith then stormed off before continuing his tirade at the producers.

“It’s just ridiculous… I’m just fed up with all the deviousness,” he raged.

“It happens all the time. We keep catching them doing the wrong thing and it just has to stop.”

Also this week the best friends from west Sydney came under scrutiny at how little they’d previously spent on handymen, leading to suspicions they weren’t paying them at all.

Shortly after returning contestant Ronnie Caceres arrived at the site, he surmised that Omar and Oz were saving money by getting their friends and family to help for free.

When they actually use free labor, they gain an unfair advantage over the other teams, who have to use money from their budget to pay their builders, chippies, electricians, and plasterers.

West Sydney's best cronies faced scrutiny at how little they had previously spent on handymen, leading to suspicions that they weren't paying them at all. As revealed on the show last week, they only spent $7,500 on plasterers, which is far less than the other teams

Alarm bells started ringing for Ronnie, 46, when he entered Omar and Oz’s home and he accused the boys of “shady dealings”.

“Something’s wrong,” said the franchise veteran-turned-detective.

Having previously attended the Nine renovation show twice with his wife Georgia, he knows everything there is to know about balancing a budget.

So seeing more than a dozen trades at work was a big red flag, especially after Omar and Oz were so notorious for being so under budget last week.

“I counted 17 trades in House 5,” Ronnie said, adding, “Are these all your cousins?”

Carol Dieckmann after ‘anonymous’ living in the US: ‘I learned to wash the toilet’

Carolina Dieckmann is back in Brazil after living in Miami, USA for six years. The actress, who will be cast in Globo’s next seven o’clock soap opera Vai na Fé, spoke to this column syringes during a beauty event in Rio and thought about the experiences from abroad.

Accustomed to the limelight since childhood the actress made her television debut at the age of 15 she feels the experience of anonymity is necessary.

“The option to go with Tiago [Worcman, diretor de televisão, com quem Carolina é casada há 19 anos] it was an investment in my personal life. I never wanted to take exams or invest in an international career. My goal was to be with my husband and children. Now that I’m going back to Brazil, I feel like I’m getting back into my life. I’m investing in my job again,” he says.

Carolina emphasizes that her marriage has benefited from the decisions: “I made the best decision and I see the maturation of my relationship and the love I have for Tiago.

When asked if she’s stayed away from the media, the actress explains:

I didn’t want to go through life without having the experience of being anonymous. I could look back on my career. I come back with the lessons learned and propose that people live outside their place of birth. You become your own analyst.

“I learned to wash the toilet and make the bed”

Carolina Dieckmann lived through the pandemic in the USA and also carries lessons from the isolation period. The actress admits she didn’t know how to do basic chores around the house.

“Of course the pandemic has been a disaster for the world, but we have to see the positive.

So this is how you wash a toilet? What makes a bed? I started making my bed during the pandemic. I learned to wash the toilet and cook for myself. For this I always had a helper, and I had to take care of life.

Carolina is still on her list of findings:

“Now I know that if the need arises, I can do anything and I didn’t know that before. I didn’t have that time to live at home, cook food for my kids, take it to school every day. I worked a lot, I knew other things.”

A PCQ candidate has already drawn parallels between the PQ, the Nazis and apartheid

A Conservative candidate in the early 2010s multiplied hate speech against language laws and the Parti Québécois (PQ) using references to the Nazi regime and South African apartheid, our investigative office found.

• Also read: Financial framework of the PCQ: “No cuts, but reallocations”, according to the party

• Also read: The Truth: No, the PLQ is not the only party talking about labor shortages

Louis-Charles Fortier, who is running behind Jacques-Cartier in western Montreal under the banner of the Quebec Conservative Party, spoke out strongly against the PQ’s takeover at the time.

“What awaits us now? Will Pauline Marois ask every Anglo to put an “A” on their shirt and on their house,” he wrote in English on 5 Das NS-Regime in Deutschland.

apartheid

“The PQ is apartheid and should be seen by the rest of the world for what it really is: a government that persecutes a minority, deprives individual rights, all in the name of francophone supremacy,” he wrote again on September 5 afterward the election of Mrs Marois as Prime Minister.

He believed that the measures taken to protect the French were the cause of an economic decline in Quebec. “[La Loi 101] created a false sense of protection in some Francophones by excluding me, which in turn has destroyed the economic infrastructure of what was once the economic empire of Canada,” he claimed on January 4, 2012.

Louis-Charles Fortier, reached by our investigative office, justified his comments with the context that would have prevailed in Quebec at the time. “I have a little regret, but not much,” he explained.

At that time, he claims, Anglophones were discriminated against. Mr Fortier says he was particularly unhappy because a nurse refused to speak English to treat his wife, a monolingual Anglophone.

Otherwise difficult

“At the time of Pauline Marois […] With everything that happened, it was difficult to react differently,” he says.

Mr. Fortier, computer network architect at Bell Canada, is running for the second time under the colors of the Quebec Conservative Party. In the 2018 elections, he received almost 2.6% of the votes for Jacques-Cartier.

He was also part of the team of Éric Caire, the outgoing CAQ minister, during the 2009 ADQ leadership race.

Called for a response, the PCQ argued that interpreting Mr Fortier’s comments in this way was a matter of “pure extrapolation” and “judgment of intent”.

Which he also wrote on the web

“Unfortunately, not all prisons are built of brick and mortar; Some are built with laws and ignorance. We are faced with this situation. We are the Berliners who are watching the building of the Wall and doing nothing about it. I cannot stand idly by as Bill 14 divides and imprisons us. Can you?”

April 1, 2013

“But it could be worse. Will the CAQ do what people expected it to do and reach out to the francophone racists? It is truly a sad day for democracy in Quebec.”

September 20, 2012

“That’s what I’m saying: the PQ is an apartheid regime in the making.”

September 7, 2012

“The PQ have a deep hatred of Anglos and want them to have fewer rights than Francophones.”

September 7, 2012

“Legault, have you been misguided or seduced by the concept of a master race in Quebec that you have forgotten logic and common sense?”

April 27, 2013

“The other day I saw friends and neighbors voting for the PQ. It was heartbreaking. Maybe they didn’t see it that way, but they voted against my friends and family. One has to remember and wonder how the Jews felt when their non-Jewish friends and neighbors voted for the Nazis. Again, I’m not comparing the PQ to the Nazis, and I’m not suggesting that English speakers in Quebec suffered as much under the Nazis as Jews; I compare similar situations where seemingly minor betrayals hit a minority because the majority have lost their sense of community and humanity. I do not deny that the Jews were in trouble under the Nazi regime.”

September 7, 2012

“Do you want an Aryan DNA test with that?”

Not only is today’s occasion of historical significance, but Prince William and Prince Harry have settled their feud to support their father by marching with him behind the coffin. Hundreds of thousands of well-wishers will line the route.

The procession moved poignantly past the statue of the Queen’s parents, King George VI, and the Queen Mother overlooking The Mall. The Imperial State Crown, which the Queen wore on her way back to Buckingham Palace after her coronation, glittered in the daylight as crowds held up their phones to capture the scenes.

Russia’s election winner says vote was rigged, refuses to accept victory

A candidate from the Russian Communist Party refused to recognize her recent election victory, saying the vote had been rigged.

Daria Bagina, 23, ran for the Moscow parliament in constituency 37 and won all constituencies there last Sunday. But in a series of tweets on Tuesday, she said she doesn’t acknowledge the voting results and doesn’t believe her victory was legitimate.

The recent local and regional elections in Russia took place against the background of Ukraine’s military counter-offensive in the southern regions of Kharkiv and Kherson. Over the past two decades, Russian elections have been notorious for allegations of fraud and rigging.

“I received many congratulations, but there is nothing to congratulate me on,” Bagina tweeted. She claimed that the Moscow Mayor’s Office “meanly” cast votes for her using remote electronic voting.

“I do not recognize the results of such a vote and I cannot consider my mandate legitimate,” Bagina said. “I still have a lot to figure out to understand why it was necessary and what to do with it later.”

Bagina wrote that in her six years in politics she had never felt so “morally disgusting”.

“Thank you to those who have found the opportunity these days to support me, give me advice and help me find the right solution,” she said.

A biography on the website of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation states that Bagina was an assistant to State Duma deputy Denis Parfyonov, and then an assistant and adviser to Moscow City Duma deputy Lyubov Nikitina. Last year she was nominated as a running mate in the by-elections for the 37th constituency in Moscow.

Speaking to Balkanist magazine last September about her 2021 election to constituency 37, Bagina said her victory was “taken remotely by electronic voter fraud, just like the other communists running for the State Duma.”

“There is no longer even an imitation of free elections in Russia. Even before the elections, the communists were attacked by the town hall administration. This calls into question the results and legitimacy of the 2021 elections in Russia,” she said.

President Vladimir Putin’s ruling party has often won elections by massive landslides, but it has tried to maintain its democratic legitimacy by allowing other parties to participate in races.

Simultaneously with the Russian elections, so-called mock referendums on accession to Russia were to be held in Kherson. But Kirill Stremousov, a Kremlin-installed leader in the region, said they were “paused” because of a security situation.

Stremousov, deputy head of the Russia-appointed military-civilian regional administration, told state TV channel Rossiya-1 that local officials are focused on protecting Kherson residents amid the Ukrainian counter-offensive, according to Russian state news agency TASS. Kyiv is attempting to recapture the region occupied by Russian forces in March.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has called the referenda “bogus” and “false” and compared them to a similar referendum held in Crimea before it was annexed by Russia in 2014.

Newsweek has reached out to Russian authorities for comment.

Patagonia founder donates company and profits for climate crisis

  • Yvon Chouinard announced on Wednesday that he is giving away his multi-billion dollar company, Patagonia.
  • Chouinard said rather than sell it or take it public, Patagonia will be owned by a trust.
  • The Trust was formed to ensure Patagonia’s profits go towards fighting climate change.

Loading Something is loading.

Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard is giving away the company by transferring it to a trust designed to ensure its profits go toward fighting the climate crisis.

Chouinard, the climber-turned-billionaire, announced the move in a statement on Wednesday.

“Instead of ‘going public’, you could say we’re going ‘purposive’. Instead of extracting value from nature and turning it into wealth for investors, we will use the wealth that Patagonia creates to protect the source of all wealth,” he wrote.

Chouinard, 83, said he chose the trust rather than selling the company to an owner who could potentially jeopardize Patagonia’s values, or going public and leaving the company to shareholders first.

Instead, ownership of the roughly $3 billion outdoor apparel company will be transferred to the Patagonia Purpose Trust and Holdfast Collective.

“It’s been almost 50 years since we started our experiment in responsible business and we’re just getting started. If we have any hope of a thriving planet – let alone a thriving business – in 50 years, it will take all of us to do what we can with the resources we have. This is another way we found to do our part,” Chouinard said.

The company said that going forward, any profits not reinvested back into the company will be paid out to Holdfast Collective to go towards environmental causes, according to an additional statement provided to Insider. The company estimates that amount will total approximately $100 million per year.

Founded by Chouinard nearly 50 years ago, Patagonia is known for breaking with conventional business practices and championing sustainability.

In an interview with The New York Times about the decision, he hopes the move will influence “a new form of capitalism that doesn’t end up with a few rich people and a bunch of poor people.”

“We will give away the maximum amount of money to people who are actively working to save this planet,” he said.

This is a groundbreaking story. Please check again for updates.

Western Sahara Kenya cuts ties with Saharawi separatists

Western Sahara: Kenya cuts ties with Saharawi separatists

Kenya’s new President, William Ruto, said on Wednesday (14 September) that the east African country was cutting diplomatic ties with the self-proclaimed Saharan Arab Republic (SADR) after talks with Morocco. The break comes nearly 24 hours after William Ruto’s inauguration ceremony, which was attended by Polisario Front leader Brahim Ghali in Nairobi.

The Algerian-backed Polisario Front wants an independent state in Western Sahara, a vast desert area that Morocco considers part of its own territory. “Kenya is revoking its recognition of SADR and is taking steps to reduce the presence of this entity in the country,” William Ruto said on Twitter after meeting Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita.

“Find a permanent solution”

Nasser Bourita brought him a message of congratulations from King Mohammed VI. of Morocco, William Ruto said, adding that the two countries had agreed to improve their ties “in the areas of trade, agriculture, health, tourism and energy, among others.” “Kenya supports the UN framework as the exclusive mechanism to find a lasting solution to the dispute,” President Ruto said. A former Spanish colony, Western Sahara lies at the western end of the vast desert of the same name, which stretches along the Atlantic coast.

The Polisario, which proclaimed SADR in 1976, continues to call for a UN-scheduled referendum to be held at the time of the signing of a ceasefire between the warring factions in 1991, with the support of Algeria. Since then, 84 UN member states have recognized SADR. But the issue of the region’s status remains deadlocked, and Morocco has built sand walls topped with barbed wire that still surround 80% of the region.

Rabat opposes any vote proposing independence as an option, arguing that for regional security reasons only autonomy is on the table. The UN, which considers Western Sahara a “non-self-governing territory” in the absence of a final settlement, has deployed a peacekeeping mission there. The African Union recognizes the Sahrawi Arab Republic as one of its members.
