In an interview for the Intrusos program, Sánchez said that the interpreter saw a photo of him and an old friend, which led to an argument between them.

“There was an argument and I made the decision to turn back. I think Cristian is telling the truth, the artist's life is complicated, I tried to accompany him,” said Sánchez.

The conflict occurred as Castro's second concert with Yuri was taking place at the National Auditorium in Mexico City. Meanwhile, the budding relationship only became known in January this year when the couple posted photos of them together.

“I never had anything bad about him, I recently had a big argument because he saw something that wasn't right,” explained the Argentine, adding that in the photo in question she is seen with Enrico, a lifelong friend , with whom she dated from 2022. For the same reason, she decided to put an end to the “Lucky Rooster” because she did not let him envy her because of a picture in which she posed years ago.

“Given the reaction of a person who sees a photo from 2022, I can't say they think I'm in a relationship with someone who doesn't see that,” he said.

In an interview with Ana María Alvarado, Sánchez thanked for the attention that Cristian's family showed her.

“I had nothing bad with Verónica Castro, I met her family and found it excellent and I appreciate the whole family, they all treated me very well. It was a pleasure to meet Verónica and I thank her for everything she did by taking me to the Basilica of Guadalupe,” he concluded.

First deaths in Houthi attack on ship off Yemen

According to British sources, at least three people were killed in an attack today by Houthi rebels on a cargo ship off the coast of Yemen. These are the first reports of deaths since Iranian-backed extremists began their attacks on commercial ships in mid-November.

The operator of the Greek ship said the cargo ship “True Confidence” was hit by a missile. There were 20 sailors and three armed security guards on board. The burning freighter is floating in the sea.

Yemen's Houthi rebels claimed responsibility for the attack. The extremists have repeatedly attacked merchant ships in recent months – they say in solidarity with Hamas in the Gaza Strip, against which the Israeli military has been operating since the extremists attacked Israel in early October.

Both the Houthis and Hamas are supported by Israel's archenemy, Iran. The Houthis have said they would attack ships linked to Israel, the US and Britain. The British freighter “Rubymar”, which was seriously damaged in a Houthi attack, sank recently.

Industry in fear

In general, however, freighters from all nations are considered at risk when traveling through the Middle East maritime area. Houthi attacks have caused major shipping companies such as Denmark's Maersk and Germany's Hapag-Lloyd to avoid the Red Sea. Instead of taking the shortest route from Asia to Europe through the Suez Canal, many ships take a detour around the southern tip of Africa.

This isn't called genocide, okay? June 3, 2024 Sergio Rodrigues

You need to be careful with your words and use them as accurately as possible. Recently I witnessed a moving scene in the Gávea district of Rio. A thin, ragged boy of five or six asked a welldressed lady leaving the supermarket full of bags and said, “Can you buy me a snack, aunt?” I haven’t eaten in two days.”

He didn't earn money to eat, but something even more valuable, a lesson that will stay with him for the rest of his life perhaps a short measure of time, patience. “Pay me, no! You don’t start a sentence with an unstressed oblique pronoun,” the woman replied before continuing on her straight and powerful path.

Another example of sloppy language that the woman could point out: She calls what is happening in Gaza a genocide. It appears that, in addition to many White House sensitivities and policies, this also runs counter to the legal definition of the word. But there are alternatives.

For example, one might describe Israel's methodical massacre of Palestinian civilians as a “bloodbath.” It is difficult to raise reservations about such a precise expression, which refers to the extermination of women, babies, children, young people and the elderly in their homes, hospitals and refugee camps, and which vetoes all attempts at humanitarian aid.

One advantage of “Bloodbath” is that since there are no signs of blood when people are suffocated in gas chambers, any parallels to the Holocaust are immediately ruled out and the speaker cannot commit the rhetorical crime that led the Brazilian president to make the statement “Persona non grata” by the morally unassailable Israeli government.

It is true that the term “bloodbath” brings to mind in the minds of those who hear or read it other massacres of defenseless populations, such as those committed against the Armenians in World War I and the Tutsis in the 1990s Rwanda fell victim. Occasionally there was a lot of blood, like in Gaza. The problem is that this would bring back the unwanted and persistent word “genocide.” On second thought, it is better to look for another solution.

Who knows, maybe the old carnage will help? Or massacre, hecatomb, butcher shop? Ethnic cleansing is best avoided, no matter how much the noun and adjective seem to fit together and correspond to reality, but the vocabulary of inhumanity and lavish carnage is far from limited.

Razia, slaughter, slaughter there are many lexical options for the speaker who finds it difficult to carry on with his normal life while watching on his cell phone screen, almost in real time, innocent lives being slaughtered in droves day after day, in front of an apathetic one or powerless humanity.

A certain amount of discomfort is natural: this is exactly what we had never experienced before after connecting. And it is clear that decent people do not want to be accused of antiSemitism a word used with obscene imprecision in calls for unconditional moral surrender, as if criticizing the Israeli government was tantamount to defending Hamas' indefensible terrorism.

It's just that they don't think it's right, these people who cling to old humanist values, that the Palestinian people are being treated like a termite colony by a farright supremacist government while we silently watch everything, hostages of Biden, Netanyahu, etc other children of a mare or stuttering words in front of Madame da Gávea, who points at us with her finger made of expired nail polish and teaches us the acceptable use of words.

Double denial from Rai on the return of two big names: the rumors about the replacement of Barbara D'Urso and Mara Venier

It was enough for them to return to the Rai studios, some for an hour, others for a whole evening, and persistent rumors began to circulate about their final return to Viale Mazzini. This even went so far as to pressure the company's top management to intervene with a press release that flatly denied the rumors and branded them “fake news.” Last Sunday, March 3, Barbara D'Urso returned to the screen after Mediaset showed her the door. “I was ripped out of my life, I was at Mediaset for 23 years, happy especially in the first few years, I went live every day for 16 years, the company gave me a lot, but I gave my life.” “Me “I have not forgotten the terrible way in which I was sent away on June 26th at 4:20 p.m.,” she told Mara Venier at the Domenica In studios. Immediately after this interview, talks began about a possible return of D'Urso, who first worked on public television in the seventies, with an evening show on Saturdays on Rai 1, a kind of Carramba that surprises. “Returning to Rai is very important for me, I started here, I was in Rai for years. “My heart always belongs to you,” he said before signing off. In the indiscretion that he wanted her on Rai from the next season, there was also a reference to an intervention by Flavio Briatore in support of the presenter: a hypothesis that the entrepreneur himself denied.

Just a few days earlier, another big return to Rai caused uncontrolled rumors. Massimo Giletti, who was at Rai for almost 30 years from the late 1980s to 2016, hosted La tv fa 70 on Rai 1 on February 28, the special program celebrating the 70th anniversary of Italian television. This was enough to talk about a change in the management of one of the historical programs: the very one Domenica In from which Barbara D'Urso would reemerge a few days later on Rai. According to rumors, Giletti should have replaced Mara Venier from next season. At this point the official announcement came from Viale Mazzini. “False news continues to circulate with some frequency about the organization of the next Rai broadcasts,” we read, “after denying the return of Barbara D'Urso in the next operating plans, we are now reading with astonishment about a possible replacement. “ by Mara Venier with Massimo Giletti on Sunday afternoon. This is also news without any basis. Mara Venier will continue with her “Domenica In”.

Four years after her death, Carey keeps Harwick close by keeping photos of her in his house and a photo of her in his dressing room that he looks at as he walks out the door on the way to set every day.

He said, “She's always with me.” Often I feel like I have to think about things, and it's almost as if I can hear her voice saying, “Well, really, it's because of this and that one. 'It's really nice, honestly.'

Carey previously said that he and Harwick shared a “love that can only be had once in a lifetime.”

In September, Pursehouse was convicted of first-degree murder for killing his ex-girlfriend Harwick after stalking her for 10 years following a bad breakup.

Harwick was with her killer, Pursehouse, until 2011, when they separated and she obtained a protection order against him, telling friends she was afraid of him.

Prosecutors said he broke into Harwick's Hollywood Hills home in February 2020 and waited about four hours for her to return to “surprise” her while carrying a syringe containing a “lethal” dose of nicotine.

The former Playboy model was found unconscious after falling from a third floor balcony of her home.

Carey was subpoenaed to testify in the murder trial after exchanging text messages with Harwick two days before her death.

The ruling also stipulates that Pursehouse will never be granted parole during his incarceration, which begins immediately in a California state prison.

This is the maximum amount allowed after Gavin Newsom stopped executions.

Although the star was not present at Wednesday's sentencing, Carey previously spoke about Harwick's murder in an interview with 48 Hours in 2022.

There he shared the last text exchange he had with his ex two days before her murder, revealing that she had been worried about Pursehouse throughout their relationship.

“When I heard she was murdered, I immediately thought, 'It must be this guy,'” the former “Whose Line Is It Anyway” host said at the time.

When 48 Hours correspondent Erin Moriarty asked if he was “sad” that he “never got that chance,” the comedian burst into tears.

“I never understood it,” he said. “I never had the chance.”

At one point, the interview emphasized to Carey that Harwick loved him, to which he replied, “That's the great comfort I get from the fact that she loved me… And I'm glad I was able to convey that message to her before she died.” '

“I hope you are lucky enough to have someone in your life who loves as much as you do,” Carey said on Twitter in February upon learning of her death.

Harwick was a well-known Hollywood marriage and sex therapist. She appeared on television and radio shows and wrote a book called “The New Sex Bible for Women.”
