Bollywood power couples Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif created huge fan hype as they arrived in Ayodhya on Monday to attend the consecration ceremony of Ram Mandir.
The star-studded event was attended by some of the biggest stars from Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan, filmmakers Rohit Shetty and Rajkumar Hirani, actors Kangana Ranaut, Ayushmann Khurrana, Madhuri Dixit Nene and many other distinguished guests in large numbers to be part of the ceremony.
Since it was a high-security event, several stars were seen seemingly pulling out a piece of paper that they had presented to the guards. Only after seeing the document were the actors allowed to enter the premises. Ranbir and Alia were first in line to show the document, followed by the other celebrities who had accompanied them to the venue in their private jet.
The viral clip sparked speculation that there was no preferential treatment for guests and prompted Twitterati to praise the security. “Good to see these celebrities aren’t getting the star treatment,” one post reads.
In another video doing rounds online, Vicky, Katrina, Alia and Ranbir were seen rushing towards the Ram Mandir in a golf cart that was waiting for them after clearing the security check at the gate.
Videos from the venue showed Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek arriving to take their place at the ceremony. At the temple premises, the legendary actor was seen in conversation with Arun Govil, known for his portrayal of Lord Ram in the 1987 TV series 'Ramayan'.
Kangana Ranaut, who arrived in Ayodhya on Saturday, was also present at the grand ceremony. The actress described the experience as being transported to a 'Pauranik Kaal' and shared snaps from the temple premises. Anupam Kher, who arrived on Sunday, stressed the country's unity across religious divides.
