“Hello everyone,
When I decided to be on stage again, I made a promise to my lover: if the audience wasn’t there, I would give up for good.
This experience hasn’t been a long, smooth flow, but more than 10,000 of you took part – in the darkest rooms in Quebec – in what was first a question-and-answer evening that then quietly morphed into a show.
That’s why today I announce with a heavy heart and full of pride the release of my second first one-man show.
If someone had told me three years ago that I would have the chance to go on stage again, I wouldn’t have believed it. I admit, if someone had told me that I would be a father to a baby boy (and a second one on the way), I wouldn’t have believed it. And if someone had told me that I would be sober for more than three years, or even just alive… I wouldn’t have been able to believe it.
Time does things, that’s true.
We often say that it’s harder to write a second show… But given a pandemic, a storm, fatherhood and sobriety, let’s just say that after more than three years of thinking, there’s no shortage of topics for this return gave the stage.
Has my sense of humor changed? NO. But he definitely picked up a bit of maturity.
Thank you to the public for their responses, thank you to the broadcasters for embarking on this adventure with me, and thank you to my family, friends and lover for believing in me.
From time to time it’s my new one-man show. An ode to time that sometimes grapples with the past but is decidedly focused on the future. I can’t wait to see you.”
The show will be presented in Montreal next March and in Quebec in May.
Over and beyond, Julian The cross will tour throughout Quebec. All details can be found on the official website.
