Brazilian marksman Thalita do Valle, who helped defend Ukraine, was killed in a Russian attack on a bunker.
The Brazilian Thalita do Valle was only 39 years old. The former model, who studied law and did sniper training with Kurdish Peshmerga fighters in Iraq, has been deployed in war zones around the world, including against the IS terror militia. Now she has landed in Ukraine.
Three weeks ago, de Valle traveled to Ukraine to help defend the country against Russia. During an attack, the Brazilian was separated from her battalion and fled to an already burning bunker, where she was trapped. Despite the attempt to save compatriot Douglas Burigo, who was killed, Thalita do Valle ended up suffocating from the fire, as her brother Theo reported to a Brazilian newspaper.
Throughout her life, Thalita was driven by a desire to help people and animals. But she wasn’t crazy about guns, according to her brother.
