In the US for a while Nice said goodbye to Zoe Buckingham and his interpreter Kiara Barnes. In Italy, of course, we haven’t noticed it yet because we’re more than a year late compared to the American episodes, but in a few months even the episodes aired on Channel 5 will show us Buckingham leaving Los Angeles in a hurry.
Narratively speaking, the character was eliminated the moment he understood all about the affair between quinn (Rena Sofer) e carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor), but — as you probably already know — the real reason Barnes left the soap opera was her cast in the TV series fantasy island.
Beautiful: Kiara Barnes (Zoe) has moved to Fantasy Island
Produced and broadcast by FOX in the USA and confirmed for a second season, the television film is a reboot of the production of the same name, which was successfully broadcast from 1978 to 1984 (in the same years the title also landed in Italy fantasy land). Set in modern times, the Fantasy Island remake also has an anthological structure, meaning that each episode tells a self-contained story (although you can count on a certain number of permanent characters, including Ruby Okoro, played by Kiara barnes).
Nice: the story of ZOE
After landing in the world of Beautiful in 2018, Zoe Buckingham could count on several storylines that certainly show the potential that the authors have not always been able to exploit well, often preferring to modify the character’s nature and will.
Arrived in Los Angeles stalking her ex Xander Avant (Adain Bradley) Zoe soon got rid of that “psycho” attitude of the early episodes and became sometimes a good girl and sometimes a bit of a careerist seductress. With Zoe’s departure, the surname Buckingham a Beautiful is carried on by her sister Paris (Diamond White), who has been involved with the soap opera for months and is said to be getting more and more space (so much so that in the future we will also meet her mother).
