Around 70,000 people live isolated in the middle of the Nevada desert in the USA
According to state authorities, at least one person died this Sunday at the Burning Man festival, which takes place in a desert region in the US state of Nevada (3). The death is under investigation.
Heavy rain on Saturday (2) made the region where the festival takes place muddy and it was very difficult to leave the place. Tens of thousands of people in prison have been advised to conserve water and food as these items may be in short supply.
It is known that the death occurred during Saturday’s rain, but no further information is available at this time. The victim’s identity has not been released.
Every year a kind of temporary “city” is built for Burning Man. Local media reported more than 70,000 people.
Access to this “city” is closed, the organizers said in a statement on social media.
“The rains of the last 24 hours have created a situation that requires a complete halt to vehicular movement,” said the government agency that manages the region where the event is taking place. Further rainfall is expected in the coming days and conditions are unlikely to improve to allow vehicle traffic.
Some participants leave the area on foot and go to the nearest street.
The event was scheduled to take place between August 27th and September 4th.

A user of the social network X (the new name of Twitter) posted a video of a fashion show that took place in the middle of the mud.
In her profile, Ana Mostarac states that she is trapped at the festival. She says that despite the unexpected challenges, some artists managed to put on an impromptu parade. “The show ‘Não na Lama’ is a metaphor for trying new things and constantly learning. I am very inspired by the ingenuity and ingenuity of this community,” she says.
The “in the mud” edition of Burning Man has a fashion show
Burning Man means “burning man” in English. The festival got its name because a wooden sculpture in the shape of a man was burned on the penultimate evening of the event.
Burning Man began in 1986 as a small gathering on a beach in San Francisco. Today it is also visited by celebrities and social media influencers.
