Sophie Ellis Bextors Glastonbury set was not shown on BBC

Sophie Ellis Bextor’s Glastonbury set was not shown on BBC iPlayer due to ‘crew shift patterns’.

The BBC today confirmed it has not filmed a Glastonbury set of Sophie Ellis Bextor due to “crew shift patterns” – footage of the Pyramid Stage was captured only by the festival’s own cameras.

The 44-year-old singer rioted the crowd when she performed on the Pyramid Stage on Sunday, describing the show as a “career highlight”.

But viewers at home couldn’t join in the fun after the BBC failed to show her set during live coverage on BBC One – apart from 10 seconds of highlights alongside an interview with her.

The company also failed to upload the full highlights to iPlayer. After being inundated with requests from fans, Sophie revealed that her performance was not filmed by the BBC, despite appearing on the festival’s main stage.

The BBC has since told Web that it did not film Sophie’s appearance due to “camera crew shift patterns”. It was said the brief footage of Sophie, which aired on BBC One, was captured by Glastonbury’s own cameras.

Sad news: viewers at home couldn’t join in the fun as the BBC failed to show their set, nor upload it to iPlayer

Sophie took to Twitter to offer her take on the controversy, tweeting: “I get a lot of messages asking if I’d like to watch my @glastonbury set on iPlayer.” Obviously that would have been wonderful, but unfortunately it was unable to report on my set for the BBC due to the number of hours that day. Next time…! xx’

Footage of Sophie’s performance was captured by Glastonbury’s own cameras, with BBC One then broadcasting just a few seconds of the show.

Fans were outraged by the snub, tweeting: “Very gracious of you Sophie.” Shame on you @BBCiPlayer!!’; “I was looking for it. Really disappointed’; “It was rude of them not to release your set. I kept checking and hoping it would show up on iPlayer.”

‘Cored. One of the few chances to see you live and BBC does it :(‘; ‘Not that! ‘; ‘Totally unacceptable 🙁 Really enjoyed you at Warwick Castle, would have loved to see your Glastonbury set too!! xx

“I was looking for your set to watch”; “Oh that’s a shame :(“; “crap”; “I’m disappointed”; “I was looking for this and wondering. How annoying!”

A BBC spokesman told Web: “This year the BBC made over 90 on-demand sets available to Glastonbury weekend audiences on BBC iPlayer, in addition to our live streams from the five main festival stages and our live stream in British Sign Language from the Pyramid Stage.’ Performances and Glasto-Cam Live.’

Aside from stars like Lana Del Rey, Sophie isn’t the only star whose performance has been omitted from iPlayer.

The 38-year-old singer headlined the Other Stage on Saturday night, but the next day those dying to watch wondered why it wasn’t made up for.

Unfortunately, that night Lana had her microphone completely turned off during the set as she entered curfew after going on stage 30 minutes late.

She left the festival-goers and eagerly awaited their arrival as she was due to enter the stage at 10:30 p.m., but didn’t leave the stage until around 11 p.m.

Despite the delayed start, many on Sunday were frustrated that they couldn’t watch the show on iPlayer.

A BBC spokesman said: “Lana Del Rey’s set was broadcast in full on Saturday night and we are delighted to be able to include select titles in our on-demand offering on BBC iPlayer, as agreed with the artist.”

Lana started her performance with a bang, but quickly addressed why she was late. She bizarrely said it was because her hairstyle took a long time, and she even brought in a stylist onstage to complete her look.

Lana had vowed to perform her performance as originally planned, but was unable to do so as she was abruptly interrupted mid-performance when the midnight curfew came.

Glastonbury are not permitted to play music on any major stage after midnight and Lana’s performance was supposed to end at 11.45pm but was still going on more than 15 minutes later.

After being interrupted, Lana began addressing the audience without a microphone and gesturing, and her fans soon realized what she wanted as they all started singing her hit song “Video Games.”

The star had undoubtedly left her favorite song by the end, making the crowd sing her the hit when she couldn’t sing anymore.

To make it up to her fans, Lana left the stage and greeted the festival-goers in the front row, signing “Summertime Sadness” with them and giving autographs.

Lana was escorted by security and her team as she greeted her emotional and overwhelmed fans before being escorted off the stage after the very abrupt end.

Earlier on in her show, Lana had pointed out why she was 30 minutes late and vowed to perform her setlist as originally planned, even if the organizers “turned off the power”.

She told viewers: “I was so freaking late that today I’m about to rush this set. If they turn off the power, they turn off the power.”

“I’m so sorry my hair is taking so long. Let’s run the set the way it’s supposed to run, let’s do it!’

After getting her hair done, the reason she was late was that Lana also got her stylist on stage to complete her look while she performed her hits.

As she sat in a chair for her performance, her hairstylist was spotted undoing her updo and set about combing out her locks so they fell loosely over her shoulders.

Lana originally appeared on stage with her glossy brunette locks, all pulled up in a voluminous updo and secured with a silver hairpiece.

But later she let the bottom half of her locks fall past her shoulders after her stylist came on stage with combs and hairbrushes.

Lana had first appeared on stage in a black coat held together with a thick belt before her backing dancers ripped it off to reveal her dress underneath.

She looked effortlessly elegant in a long-sleeved white satin shirt, which she paired with a matching mini skirt and heeled shoes.

Their performance came at the same time as headliners Guns N Roses were performing on the Pyramid stage, which also featured a slew of stars performing on Friday.

Gugus right arm reveals behind the scenes the presenters relationship

Gugu’s right arm reveals behind the scenes the presenter’s relationship with Rose Miriam and why the doctor was chosen to be the mother of his children

This Monday (26), EM OFF columnist Erlan Bastos revealed details of a statement by Homero Salles, a longtime friend and righthand man of Gugu Liberato throughout his career. According to the vehicle, the director gave a behindthescenes account of Gugu and Rose Miriam’s relationship, revealing an agreement between the two and whether the two had sexual intercourse. Finally, Homero explained why the doctor was chosen to be the mother of Liberato’s children.

Homero and Gugu started working together when the presenter was just 14 years old. At that time, Gugu was hired by SBT as a production assistant on Domingo no Parque, which Salles directed. The professional partnership and friendship lasted for decades. Homero directed Gugu in hits like “Viva a Noite”; “Crazy Race”; live the night”; “Domingo Legal” and “Programa do Gugu”.

In the statement, which Erlan had access to, Salles explained that Gugu and Rose had known each other for years and had always maintained a close friendship. Despite their affection for each other, their relationship never became sexual. The director also reiterated that Rose was chosen to be the mother of Gugu’s children because the host “trusted” her.

In another excerpt, Homero emphasized that Gugu and Rose’s relationship was harmonious until 2011, when problems arose. At that time, it was necessary to create a document in which the rules for the upbringing of their children were laid down. Homero pointed out that an attorney even told the doctor to “have more things” than she was already given by Liberato.

The vehicle also revealed that Gugu has supported Rose financially and over the years has funded investments such as her medical studies and changing her car. Gugu’s director also said that both of them only went on trips accompanied by their children once a year. On those occasions, the couple lived in separate rooms as they never had a relationship, either as boyfriend or as husband and wife, Homero affirmed.

Suggestion after the death of the moderator

Also according to the columnist, Salles clarified in his statement that he would have sought out Rose Miriam after Gugu’s death in November 2019. At that time, the director made a suggestion to the doctor, which was immediately rejected. “I didn’t go to the funeral service in São Paulo because I said goodbye to Gugu at the hospital. “I waited for Rose in the US and showed her the values of the will with lots of sugar,” the director said.

Gugu would have left the multimillion dollar inheritance to his children and nephews with the intention that the younger ones would “take care of” the older generation of family members. Although Rose Miriam was not considered the heir, Gugu left the doctor a R$6 million luxurious mansion in Alphaville, in the greater Sao Paulo area. She still gets a monthly allowance of $10,000 (about R$48,000).

“I told Rose that if she sued, she would take away her children’s fortune. She told me her sister was living on rent, I said we were transferring a property; She said she wanted a monthly amount, I said she would get pocket money like Gugu’s mother,” emphasized the director.

Finally, Gugu’s former colleague and close friend revealed that he harbors a grudge against the doctor. “I’m not angry, nor do I have any regrets for Rose and the children, but I will never forgive them for going to court. “They threw Gugu’s name in the dirt with all this debunking,” he lamented.

On June 20, the Supreme Court upheld Gugu Liberato’s will. The decision of the 9th Private Law Chamber of the Court of São Paulo was unanimous by 4 votes to 0. Thus, the document signed by the TV veteran in 2011 was validated, so that the fortune is estimated at 1 billion reais the three children (25% each) and five nephews (5% each).

In an interview with Rolling Stone, the Marvel star revealed that he has concerns about the use of artificial intelligence in the entertainment industry.

“People are just starting to worry about this? “I asked the question a long time ago,” the actor told the publication, before explaining how his body was “scanned” for the Star Wars and Marvel projects.

“When I first got scanned for George Lucas, I wondered what that was for,” the pulp fiction star continued. George and I are good friends so we had a laugh about it because I thought he would because he had all these old guys in episode 1 and if anything happened to them he still wanted them in the film. »

Samuel L. Jackson, who plays Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), explained that he was scanned every time he got a new costume. “Ever since I did Captain Marvel, they’ve done the Lola project where they made me look younger and stuff like that. I figured they could do that whenever they wanted if they really wanted to,” he added.

The actor also acknowledged that AI in Hollywood “could be a cause for concern” and advised actors to be very careful with their contracts. “Prospective actors should do what I always do when I get a contract and it says ‘permanent’ and ‘known and unknown’: I cross those words out,” he said. “It’s my way of saying, ‘No, I don’t like that.’ »

1687797636 Rites silhouettes costumes and celebrities mens fashion shows its strength

Rites, silhouettes, costumes and celebrities: men’s fashion shows its strength in Paris

Three days after his debut as creative director of Louis Vuitton’s men’s line, Pharrell Williams sat front row on Friday with Kim Jones celebrating his first five years at the helm of giant LVMH’s other jewel, Dior Men. Undeterred, with his diamond glasses, dressed in his own collection and with a bag from the same line, Williams was able to take credit for the merits that Jones has used in five years to build an impressive legacy in the men’s department of the very experienced Parisian house. Mainly because Jones dared to invent new things in addition to his usual achievements – sports tailoring, sewing techniques, appliqué jewelry on garments, use of handcrafted fabrics usually reserved for women’s fashion.

For example, a new type of trousers with creases, wide but not too wide, and short above the ankle, aimed at changing the masculine silhouette. It’s a complex, almost utopian task, but Jones has achieved a handful of milestones, from reviving the men’s saddlebag to introducing padding, embroidery and beaded appliqués to menswear. Evidence of this was the very large number of celebrities, from actress Demi Moore to singer J Balvin, who crowded the front row of the parade.

More information

The day before, a few meters from the École Militaire where the Dior show was held, Givenchy had presented a proposal for its electronic and nocturnal tailoring, which is the hallmark of designer Matthew Williams, in the courtyard of Les Invalides. And one day later, on Saturday June 24th, Jonathan Anderson presented his new coup de effect at Loewe: a collection inspired by the distortion of perspectives, which is much more than just rhetoric. For example, his high-waisted pants, almost hyperbolic, showing why his shows in Paris were usually the most applauded.

Like Kenzo, who walked the show Friday night, LVMH owns Louis Vuitton, Dior, Givenchy and Loewe. For the luxury giant chaired by Bernard Arnault, menswear seems to be far more than just a playground. Its main competitor, the Kering group, usually runs mixed fashion shows, which this year – which is not the norm – are grouped together in women’s fashion week. Thus, men’s fashion week in Paris, which began on Tuesday 20th and lasted until Sunday 25th June, has left an interesting snapshot of the prominence that menswear has acquired within the luxury group. With the greatest weight in the world, especially after the arrival and consolidation of a generation of creative directors, versed in music, design and art, who see their respective brands not only as style factories but also as incubators of icons. They produce recognizable bags, veteran logos made desirable again, and a solid conceptual framework that doesn’t preclude flirting with celebrities at a time when the world’s most recognizable artists – from Rihanna to Beyoncé to the actors of Elite or Succession – they embrace avant-garde again. In this war machine of French luxury, a blend of digital soft power, sublime craftsmanship and conceptual mystery, menswear has taken on the role of icebreaker. And that’s why, for years, men’s fashion week in Paris has become an observatory for new things.

The return to tailoring, elegance and a certain sumptuous sophistication already evident at the last Milan Fashion Week is reflected in the collections of both large and small companies. Suits are once again of interest to young designers, from Botter, with his meticulous craftsmanship, to Israeli Hed Mayner, a pioneer in creating fluid, luminous Mediterranean tailoring. Études and Lemaire explore clear visions of everyday wardrobe not far from Véronique Nichanian’s proposal for Hermès, a classic of relaxed luxury. Dries Van Noten proposes a new silhouette, more stylized and fluid, without giving up his interest in prints. Even a born provocateur like Louis Gabriel Nouchi, whose previous shows had been a riot of celebrity and eroticism, included more jackets than underwear in his collection for the coming summer.

Among the most exciting surprises is the work of the very young Burc Akyol, finalist of the last edition of the LVMH Prize, a designer of Turkish origin who affirms that his ideal are the couture houses of the mid-20th century. And its gender-neutral collection exudes an air of couture, sophistication, craftsmanship and short distances that often compels many designers to settle in Paris. The Japanese Yohji Yamamoto, who had been designing and producing clothes in Tokyo for a decade for a decade, thought the same thing more than 40 years ago and felt that the French capital was the one that best suited his desire for sophistication and luxury. Last Thursday, a crowd of believers in their dark and unstructured robes of poetry and punk rebellion coexisted with new converts like singers Maluma and Rauw Alejandro, drawn to the legend of a designer Millennials and Zetas knew mostly through his sophisticated productions for Y -3, his Adidas line.

Devotion also inspires Rick Owens, excessive, dark and always disturbingly precise. On this occasion, sheer fabrics and orthopedic-inspired boots were added to her models, with minimal waists and elongated legs, in black skirts and pants, paraded in her usual setting, the terrace of the Palais de Tokyo, amid rockets, firecrackers and gunpowder shots. A few days later, Owens himself attended the show of another of his standout students, Frenchman Ludovic de Saint Sernin, whose sexy and elegant vision of 1990s fashion hinges heavily on the American’s techno-luxe.

Fashion has its own rituals and audience. Based on the famous pleats that the Japanese designer, who died in August 2022, patented in the ’80s, Issey Miyake’s Homme Plissé line aims to celebrate each season with a colorful wardrobe essential, featuring his own fabrics and a healthy sense of familiarity. Something similar happens with Walter Van Beirendonck, a survivor of the avant-garde generation of the Antwerp Six, whose relevance is due both to his collections and to the influence he has had on a large segment of the designers who define fashion today, including many who, from Bernhard Willhelm to Raf Simons, studied or worked with him at the Antwerp fashion school. Stuck in a happy niche, Van Beirendonck has mastered socially critical graphic prints: to mark the occasion, he invented a cryptographic alphabet to address issues such as gender, justice and ecology, demonstrating why the catwalk is still, nearly four decades after its debut, a suitable place to talk about many other things.

Joel Bouchard finds work in the American League

Joël Bouchard finds work in the American League

Tampa Bay Lightning general manager Julien BriseBois added two Quebecers to his organization Monday, naming Joel Bouchard and Daniel Jacob to be the head coach and assistant coach of the Syracuse Crunch, respectively.

These changes also mean the end of Benoit Groulx’s tenure at the bench. He will take on other functions in the Lightning organization, but these have not been specified.

Bouchard, a former National League defenseman, is well known among hockey fans in La Belle province. He was general manager and pilot of the Armada de Blainville-Boisbriand in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, combining those two roles from 2014 to 2018 after serving as DG from 2011. He then led the Armada de Blainville-Boisbriand Laval Rocket, a Montreal Canadiens affiliate of the American League (AHL), served three years before joining the San Diego Gulls, the Anaheim Ducks varsity club, in 2021-2022. directed.

“The position of our AHL team’s head coach is critical in the context of our player development program. Joël will offer all his knowledge with contagious enthusiasm, BriseBois said in a press release. He is a strong leader with a track record of helping athletes and teams reach their full potential.”

“I feel very privileged to join such a great organization,” said Bouchard, 49. The next few months will be very exciting for the Lightning and I expect we will continue Syracuse’s tradition of excellence on and off the ice .

In turn, Jacob acted as Bouchard’s assistant in Boisbriand, Laval and San Diego. As such, the two men will face the Rocket multiple times in 2023-2024, with Laval playing like the Crunch in the AHL’s North Division.

Fertile Era

In addition, the CEO of the “Bolts” returned the loan to Groulx, who oversaw the subsidiary’s operations for the past seven years. “I want to thank him for his leadership and his constant pursuit of excellence,” said BriseBois. He was instrumental in the Lightning’s victories, including two Stanley Cups, a Presidents’ Trophy, three conference titles and a Calder Cup Final appearance.

Cruelty to Animals 40 sheep locked up in an apartment

“Cruelty to Animals”: 40 sheep locked up in an apartment converted into a slaughterhouse

About 40 sheep, practically crushing their feet, were rescued Sunday from a tiny flat-turned-slaughterhouse in Nice, France, where one of them is said to have had its throat cut.

“Forty sheep were crowded into ten [mètres carrés]! Cruelty to animals is intolerable. The perpetrators must be condemned in the strongest terms and that starts with the removal of their council housing!” Alpes-Maritimes MP Éric Ciotti responded on Twitter, BFMTV Côte d’Azur reported on Sunday.

A few hours earlier, police authorities arrested two people who brought about forty sheep into the house, Deputy Mayor Anthony Borré said on Twitter.

One of them would have had his throat cut on the spot, he continued.

In a photo shared by French media, the animals can be seen lying on the hay-covered floor of a small apartment where there appears to be barely enough space for everyone to rest at once.

The 40 sheep should be cared for by a breeder while the two animals will be the subject of a complaint, BFMTV concluded.
