We rank the new Black Mirror episodes from worst to best – Showbizz.net

We’ve been following the Netflix anthology series Black Mirror since the beginning. She has created small masterpieces over the years that have left an indelible mark on our memories. Even the very first, the national anthem, sent goosebumps down your spine. White Christmas (special episode), Nosedive (Season 3) and USS Callister (Season 4) are among our favorites.

Season 6 landed on Netflix a few days ago, and it’s not as extraordinary as we’d hoped. We’re more into horror than sci-fi, an area where the series generally excels. In Black Mirror situations often arise where technology has gone wrong. This time, only two of the five episodes go in that direction. The other three are pretty standard horror thrillers.

We still ranked them from worst to best.

5TH MAZEY DAY

The paparazzi bestiality of early 2000s Hollywood proved a fruitful starting point. Unfortunately, everything goes completely wrong in the end and leaves a bitter aftertaste. The last shot remains striking.

4. HOLE HENRY

Again, the theme – true crime – wasn’t bad, but the direction chosen proves controversial, if surprising.

?nocrop

3. DEMON 79

This story of an ordinary young woman who is forced to murder three people to prevent nuclear war is quite gripping and the art direction is impeccable. On the other hand, it’s the lack of originality that outshines him in the middle of the peloton.

?nocrop

2. BEYOND THE SEA

Starring Aaron Paul and Josh Hartnett, this sci-fi thriller gets closer to what we love about Black Mirror. Fear, emotion, madness, spirit, everything is there. At 80 minutes, it is the longest episode of the season.

1. JOAN IS TERRIBLE

Since we’ve all accepted the rules of a streaming service without reading them, we can all relate a little to the character of Joan. In addition, a provocative layer of black humor completes the thriller. Netflix makes fun of itself, and we like its bravery.

Poor air quality: Quebec under a puff of smoke

Environment Canada has issued a smog warning in the Quebec region since Saturday evening, as smoke from forest fires is raging further north in the province.

According to the Federal Weather Service, “high concentrations of fine dust” have drastically worsened the air quality and reduced visibility in places.

These difficult conditions are expected to continue tomorrow.

Today, the view of residents of the country’s capital was obscured by smoke.

The highest tower of the Château Frontenac, the emblem of the city of Québec par excellence, was barely visible from the port.

Ditto for the Videotron Center which was difficult to see from the upper town.

From the Île-d’Orléans, the entire city center was hidden behind microparticles.

According to census site IQAir, air quality poses a health risk in all of the capital’s central districts and is “unhealthy for vulnerable people” in outlying areas.

The Chaudière-Appalaches CISSS has also urged the entire population to take the necessary precautions to avoid excessive exposure to smoke. The CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale followed suit in the hours that followed.

Montreal, the worst in the world

If Quebecers were affected by smoke from the north over the weekend, they can at least take comfort in the knowledge that the situation in Montreal was even worse.

As of today, the metropolis has risen to become the worst in the world in terms of air pollution, according to IQAir.

Thus, it largely covered the city of Kuwait of the country of the same name and Tehran, the capital of Iran.

This afternoon, the air quality index in the metropolis was 215, according to the online platform IQAir. The index of “extremely unhealthy” air is between 201 and 300.

Triathlon canceled

The smoke in the air also forced the cancellation of several sporting events, including the Ironman 70.3 in Mont-Tremblant.

More than 3,000 participants were expected today for the popular Laurentian triathlon.

Yolanda Díaz and Aina Vidal dodge the referendum at their first joint rally

Sumar En Comú Podem kicked off the primary campaign in Catalonia for the 23-year elections this Sunday with a rally in Cornellà led by Yolanda Díaz, coalition leader and vice-president of the government and MP and candidate for Barcelona, Aina Vidal. In front of around 200 people in the very small auditorium of the Sant Idelfons social center in Cornellà, the two politicians emphasized in their speeches the social heritage of the coalition government and its claim to shorten the working day and refrained from the slightest allusion to the right to make decisions or to the sovereign referendum. Vidal, who succeeds Jaume Asens at the top of the list, said on the day she was unveiled as a candidate that this vote would, as always, be on the House of Commons election manifesto

Under the motto “A per més” (For more) and supported by the most prominent members of the candidacy – the former mayor Ada Colau was not present, but the MEP Ernest Urtasun was – Díaz first addressed the people who had no access auditory . His only wink was to insist that the right-wing parties want to rule against Catalonia, and that the left-wing coalition wants one to do so. “PP and Vox campaign against Catalonia. Can you govern a country by saying you are against Catalonia?” he asked before an engaged audience. Vidal only made this reference: “Moving forward in Catalonia is a dejudicating; it’s Jaume Asens,” he said in a gesture of recognition of his predecessor.

By deciding to dodge the referendum, Díaz and the lower house sidestepped the issue that will come up again when the election manifestos are presented. Alongside Vidal, Joan Mena, spokeswoman for the party, stressed last week that the Commons had never deviated from the position of defending the referendum and that its frame of reference, although in need of updating, was the program of the 2019 general election Dialogue table mentioned but also the need for the Catalans to decide their future in a vote in addition to a clarity bill. Urtasun reiterated on Friday that the coalition was “comfortable” with the Catalans voting on the agreements reached at the dialogue table.

The point is that the final outcome of the dialogue table, from which the referendum is unlikely to emerge due to the government’s radical opposition, did not appear at the rally. The position of the PSC, which has also been keeping a low profile lately to avoid clashes with barons, is similar: it wants an agreement to be voted on. Anyway, everything indicates that the Commons will have to do a thousand balance sheets because they will have their own program on top of Sumar’s program. The question will be how the small print of both will match, apart from the fact that everything indicates that the sovereignty conflict will not be a fundamental focus of their campaign.

Yolanda Díaz and Gerardo Pissarello, at a time of the rally.Yolanda Díaz and Gerardo Pissarello, at a time of the rally. Gianluca Battista

Last Friday, Colau claimed sovereignty over his territory but distanced himself from the referendum when asked if he was in favour, in an interview on TV3. “I want an effective solution and not chimeric promises that are not kept,” he said, recalling in this chapter his party’s legacy by mentioning pardons, the reform of the penal code and the dialogue table. The reality is that the polity enters politics with the referendum flag, although it no longer hoists it as enthusiastically and pinpoints it as a target on the horizon. Gerardo Pisarello, number two on the list, and Candela Lopez (number six) also highlighted social heritage.

“These elections are about the cost of living. From an inflation in the basket of more than 12%; the mortgage, the people who can’t pay the rent,” affirmed the vice-president, who defended that the good numbers of the macro economy reach the people. With a similar message, faced with a scenario in which the word “Sumar” triumphed over “En Comú Podem”, the two politicians reiterated that these elections are not just about stopping the extreme right, but about improve the lives of most people. Vidal, who has a union tradition from his time at CC OO, complains that workers in Spain work 300 hours more than in Germany. “The madness is that inequality is growing at the same rate as the number of people who own 1% of the country’s wealth,” he said, accusing the junts and ERC of already considering the elections lost.

After recalling that he defended the rights of domestic workers with her as an MP, Díaz agreed with the list leader for Barcelona: “Aina Vidal is Catalonia’s candidate for Spain. “We have a project in favor of life and the working class,” said the vice-president, who was “astonished” when it became known that they were not satisfied with the social achievements. “How can we not be proud,” he affirmed and pleaded for labor reform, permanent employment contracts, an 8.5% increase in pensions and an increase in the minimum wage for all occupations by up to 1,080 euros.

“We are aware that it is not enough because there is a difference of 25 points compared to the average European salary. “Good macroeconomic data must reach the people,” said the vice-president, who pledged that she would make the same efforts as she did to shorten the working day to save time and protect the lives of citizens with dignity. Díaz, who claims the country’s common heritage and cultural diversity, has called for mobilization. “I ask you to mobilize. Catalonia could have the defining voice of the next decade. “If Catalonia get up, it will be decisive,” he declared.

The Tele Factory will perform an ERE on its workers

Any reader under the age of 45 will be familiar with the Battle of Namek. It was a fight of life and death between Son Goku and Frieza, hero and villain respectively of the Dragon Ball Z series. In this fight, the planet Namek was about to explode (as a poster at the beginning of each episode reminded us) and that always told him there were 5 minutes left. I don’t remember the reason for the explosion, but I can tell you that the battle (actually the fight) lasted nineteen chapters. Every day the children came to the school to comment on how things had gone and hallucinated about the kicks, the punches and the destruction of Namek’s flora and fauna. In the second week it became a joke among the children.

Something like this will develop into the long finale of Save me. Since Borja Prado and Alessandro Salem must not understand each other, the main beam of Telecinco neither collapses nor is it painted a different color. Nothing, they are not clear. Borja is the typical person who runs a bank as well as an electricity company or a TV station. And Alessandro is a man who comes from the television circus. One wants a right turn and the other the familiar. Save me, has no place. But this farewell takes time. If Jorge Javier is absent, if Deluxe stays a month, if I filter out a possible sequel, if I go to Netflix. I’ll give you, directors of Telecinco, some advice as a fan of horror films: once a villain rises, that’s normal. If he revives two, that’s terror. Three Resurrections is a parody. When Namek explodes, make it explode quickly.

Pablo Lavandeira and his hurt message because Alianza Lima let

Pablo Lavandeira revealed details of his departure from Alianza Lima and one of his strongest phrases was that he felt the blue and white club hadn’t done much to keep him when the proposal to sign Alianza Lima came in FBC Melgar for the final tournament. The Uruguayan naturalized Peruvian explained that this deal was one of the reasons that led him to sign with the red-black team.

“From a sporting point of view, has Alianza tried to convince you to stay a while longer?” asked Movistar Deportes Lavandeira’s Michael Succar. “No, that was one of the reasons I made the decision. Alianza could have said no, they could have declined,” today’s domino player replied.

Pablo Lavandeira wanted to stay in Alianza Lima

During the interview on the program “Después de todo” Pablo Lavandeira indicated that he planned to fight him in the final tournament Lima Alliance. Previously, the footballer realized he was seduced by Melgar and Mariano Soso’s interest. “I did my best. When that came from Melgar and there was real interest, especially from the coach, I started having doubts and thinking that he could be a good alternative,” commented the Uruguayan.

“I’ve been thinking about fulfilling my contract with Alianza. I wanted to win the Clausura with the club. I even concentrated the day before the game with Grau. But after talking to Mariano about 15 or 20 days ago, I started.” “To see if it could be a good alternative out there, not only from a sporting point of view but also from a contractual point of view,” said the former footballer.

Chris Christie scoffs at Trump’s comments about his weight

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie found some apt words for Donald Trump after he poked fun at his weight days after he was booed off the stage at a Republican religious conference for addressing his outspoken Republican rival .

Less than two days after that ordeal, Christie, 60, appeared on Fox News to add to some of his Friday remarks about the ex-president – who he claimed “disappoints us”, lacks “character” and he ” makes our country”. “smaller” than head of state.

When asked in turn by moderator Howard Kurtz about the criticism he’s faced from his old Republican rival – who he’ll now face again in 2024 – Christie scoffed, claiming he wasn’t affected.

In particular, Kurtz referenced recent comments from 77-year-old Trump attacking the heavy weight of his Tri-State counterpart – including a manipulated video for Truth Social that appeared to show the New Jersey native participating in an all-you-can-eat Buffet showed.

The exchange of words between the two comes shortly after Christie announced he would be running against Trump in the upcoming GOP election, and after Christie took the time to reprimand Trump for his federal case, as well as another one that recently ended in Manhattan .

During the session, which was aired on MediaBuzz Sunday, Kurtz asked Christie – who had previously supported Trump after his defeat in 2016 – about the recent repeated attacks on his body.

He asked, “When Trump started hitting back on multiple fronts, he aimed for your weight — how did you react to that?”

Christie immediately dismissed the question and let out an audible taunt. ‘What? As if he were an Adonis?’ snapped the conservative sarcastically. ‘Please.’

He then took action against his Republican compatriot because he had not only acted childishly but also banally and thoughtlessly.

“I don’t know what he means. You know what it is? “It’s like a kid,” Christie said about a month after appearing in another spot with Fox celebrating Trump’s recent court defeat in the Big Apple while hinting at a second presidential bid.

“There’s a bully in the schoolyard teasing you and making fun of you.” Christie then announced what he described as his “message” to the hot-tempered former head of state.

He said, “I don’t care what he says about me.” “I don’t care what he thinks about me” — before quickly adding, “And he should take a look in the mirror every once in a while.”

It was Christie’s way of saying, “Maybe he’d take the weight thing off his list of criticisms.”

At the beginning of the interview, Christie lashed out at Kurtz’s questions about his credibility, considering he had previously supported Trump, and only voiced his dislike of the president after the 2020 election.

As the New Jersey Republican explained, “We all have different breaking points, Howie.” We all need to have a moment when we say enough is enough. That was my moment.’

When asked if he waited too long to reach that conclusion, Christie said no, “I don’t think I waited too long.”

He said at length, “I think the right thing to do is try to make the person that’s in the White House the best president that can be for the whole country.”

“I tried that. It turned out that I hadn’t succeeded. So if you want to criticize me for not changing Donald Trump despite my best efforts, I plead guilty.”

Less than three weeks earlier – after Christie announced his presidential ambitions – Trump released an edited video of Christie intended to look like the politician was announcing his campaign at an all-you-can-eat buffet.

An accompanying caption, posted to the ex-president’s Truth Social account, further poked fun at Christie — as well as his speech, which Trump linked him to the Harry Potter villain “Voldemort” and him referred to as a “lonely, selfish, selfish mirror” pig.’

“How many times has Chris Christie used the word SMALL? Does he have a mental problem with SIZE? Actually, his speech was SMALL and not very good. “It was all over the place and no one had any idea what he was talking about,” Trump wrote.

“Hard to watch, boring, but that’s what you get from a failed governor (New Jersey) who left office with a 7% approval rating and then was driven out of New Hampshire. ‘This time will be no different!’ .

The comments weren’t the first time Trump has criticized Christie’s weight, as the ex-president posted another photoshopped buffet photo in 2022.

An accompanying caption read: “Chris Christie at Roy Rogers at 11pm trying to get comfort.”

On Friday, Christie was mocked at the Faith and Freedom Coalition policy conference in Washington after she slammed Trump.

He began his performance by saying he planned to talk about “character,” before pounding away at the former commander-in-chief about halfway through the speech — prompting boos and cheers of “We love Trump!” From the crowd.

Christie has been bombarded with blatant jokes about weight in recent weeks, including from longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone. Trump recently retweeted a post by Stone with an image apparently manipulated to make Christie look taller after he criticized his weight last year

“I’m running because he let us down,” Christie said.

“He let us down because he’s unwilling to take responsibility for the mistakes that have been made.” And any mistakes that he has. And all the things he’s done.

“And that’s not for everyone with leadership, that’s a failure of leadership,” the former New Jersey governor added.

The remark drew a loud boo from the crowd. “You can boo me if you want,” he shot back.

“But here’s the thing. Our faith teaches us that people must take responsibility for what they do. “People need to stand up and take responsibility for what they do,” he continued.

Christie noted that as soon as the ex-president started criticizing Trump, he began berating him.

“And belittle me,” Christie offered. A handful of people shouted “We love Trump”. “And you can love him all you want,” Christie replied.

Christie endorsed Trump in 2016 after he abandoned the race after his own sixth-place finish in New Hampshire.

On June 1, Trump again published an insult to his longtime adviser Roger Stone.

Stone posted a manipulated picture of Christie struggling with his weight. “@ChrisChristie needs to run. Not for the President. “He just has to run,” Stone wrote. Trump re-released the letter without comment.
