Sarah Ferguson thanks the hospital staff who discovered breast cancer and ‘successfully’ performed the surgery

Sarah Ferguson has thanked the hospital staff who discovered her breast cancer with a routine mammogram and performed “successful” surgery to treat it.

The Duchess of York, 63, is now back home in Windsor with her family after undergoing routine treatment for the illness.

The ex-wife of Prince Andrew and mother of his two daughters was discharged today from King Edward VII Hospital in Marylebone, central London, where members of the royal family are often treated.

A spokesman said: “The Duchess would like to extend her huge thanks to all the medical staff who have supported her over the past few days.”

“She is also very grateful to the staff involved in the mammography who diagnosed her disease, which was otherwise asymptomatic, and believes her experience underscores the importance of regular check-ups.”

Friends revealed that her prognosis is good because the breast cancer was caught early.

A friend explained: “It was a difficult time but she is very grateful to the medical staff who performed the mammogram and the medical staff who took care of her over the past few days, she is incredibly grateful.”

The Duchess’ spokesman added: “Sarah, Duchess of York, was recently diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer during a routine mammography screening.”

“She was told she needed surgery, which was successful.”

“The Duchess is receiving the best medical care and her doctors have told her the prognosis is good.” She is now recovering with her family.’

The Sun reported that the Duke of York, 63, and her daughters Princess Beatrice, 34, and Princess Eugenie, 33, are by her side as she recovers.

The grandmother of three was absent from Royal Ascot earlier this week as she was treated in hospital.

The Duchess is Patron of the Teenage Cancer Trust and spoke at a Breast Cancer Foundation gala in 2019.

Beatrice was spotted with friends in Glastonbury on Sunday, the final day of the festival, and was at Royal Ascot earlier this week.

The Duchess will apparently open up about her diagnosis and treatment in an upcoming episode of her podcast, Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah, which airs tomorrow.

The Duchess of York’s elder daughter Princess Beatrice was seen today greeting friends on the last day of Glastonbury – while revelers held up a banner with a hilarious image of Prince Louis.

Beatrice, 34, was spotted with husband Edo Mapelli Mozzi this afternoon – the last day of the festival, which will be headlined by Sir Elton John to close the event.

Her appearance came after her mother, Sarah, the Duchess of York, underwent successful surgery after being diagnosed with breast cancer. The Duchess is recovering at home in Windsor.

Meanwhile, among the multitude of flags waving in the crowd was one bearing the image of Prince William and Princess Kate’s youngest son.

Beatrice, who also attended the festival last year, isn’t the only queen to have visited the grounds of Worthy Farm in the past.

Her sister, Princess Eugenie, was there before, and her cousin, the Duke of Sussex, was photographed in the crowd with then-girlfriend Cressida Bonas in 2013.

On May 15, she shared an Instagram post confirming the first episode of Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah.

She explained it’s a “new weekly podcast about the ups and downs of everyday life” in which she’ll be “tackling some of the biggest and weirdest stories from around the world.”

In the show’s first episode, which aired last month, Fergie admitted she was “very shy” and said she trusts “too much” and “too many people.”

While her co-host Sarah Jane Thomson elsewhere teased that she wanted to know more about her, the king said, ‘Do I have a boyfriend?’ NO.’

Sarah Ferguson, 63, has revealed on the first episode of her new podcast that she “doesn’t have a boyfriend” but would like one (pictured with her ex-husband Prince Andrew).

And after her co-host asked, “Do you want one?” Fergie replied, “Yes.”

Her comments follow years of rumors that she would one day marry Prince Andrew.

Their unconventional relationship has since blossomed into what Sarah describes as “the happiest divorced couple we know,” with the pair seemingly spending more time together than in the decade they were actually married (when Andrew was often in the was naval service).

They still share a home together and live at the Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, the ten-bedroom former residence of the Queen Mother, although this cozy arrangement could soon come to an end as part of King Charles’ planned remodeling of the royal residences.

And the couple regularly holiday together with their daughters Beatrice and Eugenie, leading to sporadic speculation that since neither Sarah nor Andrew later found love, there’s always a chance they’ll remarry one day.

These rumors received even more impetus after the death of Andrew’s irascible father Prince Philip, who in his later years refused to even be in the same room with Sarah.

When Sarah was asked head-on on ITV’s Loose Women program about the likelihood of a rekindling of romance, she brushed the subject aside. “Oh my god,” she replied to the show’s hosts, “You’re all fairytales, you all have your wands out.” “Andrew and I stand firm, we were parents together in the past and now we’re grandparents together.”

A former courtier who has known Andrew for three decades observes, “Their romance isn’t a big, passionate romance – they have separate bedrooms at the Royal Lodge – but it’s more about the deepest form of friendship.” It’s a very unusual one Relationship for a divorced couple, especially on the outside, but they are totally devoted and would defend each other to the death.’

In the first episode of her pocast, Fergie revealed she is

In the first episode of her pocast, Fergie revealed she is “very shy” and said she trusts “too much” and “too many people” (pictured with her co-host Sarah Jane Thomson).

In another recent interview, Sarah described her relationship with Andrew as an achievement of which she is proud. “We are divorced from each other, not from each other.” We are co-parents who support each other and believe that family is everything. I am proud of the work we have done together in raising our children and maintaining a strong family unit. “Our watchwords are communication, compromise and compassion.”

It’s an unorthodox arrangement, about which royal author Penny Junor remarks, “It seems completely bizarre, and who knows what their relationship is really like.” Not only does Sarah stand silently by his side, she actually speaks out for him .”

Elsewhere on her first podcast, Fergie insisted she was “actually very shy,” saying, “I play small to make myself really small so I don’t get in anyone’s way.”

“I’m afraid that if I stick my head over the parapet I’ll be gunned down in flames.

“I come from a very stricken country.”

The Duchess said that while she can come across as a “very brave socialite,” the reality is that I’m deeply sensitive and terribly stubborn, and I’m very shy, which people don’t know.

She said she comes from an “incredibly brave” place, adding, “I’ve been on the treadmill since I was 12.”

She later said, “I need a little more left brain to become a little more business savvy.”

Far from being the first royal to start a podcast, Fergie has her own audio platform alongside the likes of Mike Tindall, Princess Eugenie and the Duchess of Sussex

“Maybe I trust far too much and too many people.”

Meanwhile, she also revealed how she confronts people who try to photograph her unnoticed.

She was describing an encounter in the security line at Heathrow’s Terminal 4 during a recent trip to Croatia, when she said fellow passengers “surreptitiously” had their cameras out.

She said, “So then I’ll go upstairs and say, ‘Would you like a selfie?'” and they’re like, “No, no, I don’t know what you’re thinking.”

“And then you’re like, ‘Oh, I’m so sorry, how can I assume you want a photo,’ when they did want a photo.”

In April, the Duchess said she was not offended at having evaded an invitation to the King’s coronation when she spoke on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, citing her divorce from Prince Andrew.

She told presenters Kate Garraway and Adil Ray, “I’m not.” [going]it’s a state occasion and when you’re divorced I don’t think you can have both.

“I’m divorced and I really love being divorced from my ex-husband, not from him but from him. It’s important to differentiate.”

She added that just because she “isn’t there for the state event,” she can still “be there” privately.

“It’s really nice to be a part of,” she continued, “and like I said, you can’t have it both ways.” Don’t sit on the fence. You’re either in or out, don’t worry.’

Sarah, who is divorced from Prince Andrew (pictured together in 2019), said:

She added, “What’s great about this moment is family unity and I think Charles and Camilla are doing an amazing job of bringing family unity together.”

Elsewhere, Sarah said Prince Andrew “needs to be in the spotlight” so he can “move on with his life.”

The prince has been accused of sexual abuse by Virginia Giuffre, who claims she was trafficked by convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

The Duke has vehemently denied the allegations, claiming he never met Giuffre.

However, due to the allegations, he lost his royal titles and is no longer a working king as of 2020.

She said: “He’s such a good man with Prince Andrew.” “He’s a kind, good man and I think he needs the spotlight so he can move on with his life and rebuild.”

Sarah, who shares daughters Princess Beatrice and Eugenie with Andrew, added that he is a “very good grandfather” to his grandchildren.

Later in the show, Ms Garraway asked what the late Princess Diana, who was close to Fergie, thought she thought of Prince Harry and Prince William’s current relationship.

She replied, “What mattered most to her was staying true to her heart, and her heart would say, ‘My boys have done really well, they look so happy in their own family units and they have beautiful children.’

“And that’s exactly what she would look at. She would pay attention to her attitude, and I don’t know, she’s not here to speak for herself, but speaking to you here, I would say that we should have a lot more kindness in life.

“We all need to stop being so cruel and trolling, lead by example, smile and be kind.”

It was reported last week that the Duchess is unlikely to attend the coronation next month – although Beatrice and Eugenie are expected to be there.

Royal commentator Tom Bower previously told Web that Sarah has shut herself out because of her past “conduct”.

He added that their presence “would provoke critical comments that King Charles doesn’t need.”

And expert Richard Fitzwilliams praised the king’s “extremely wise” decision as it has “been an embarrassment to the royal family for many years”.

But the apparent decision has caught some royal observers by surprise – Meghan’s friend Omid Scobie tweeted: “If true, that feels kinda cruel doesn’t it?”

Speaking about Sarah’s absence, Mr Bower said she will be left out “because she is not a member of the royal family”.

Some of Sarah’s most embarrassing moments included posting photos of her getting her toes sucked by her financial adviser John Bryan at her holiday villa in St Tropez, while they were also seen kissing, hugging and frolicking in the pool.

She is also said to have had a falling out with her once good friend, Princess Diana, after she claimed she contracted a wart after borrowing a pair of her shoes. They were reportedly still not on speaking terms at the time of Diana’s death in 1997.

And in 2010, she apologized after it was secretly recorded that she had offered to sell her access to Andrew for £500,000.

Rider falls fatally from derailed roller coaster in Sweden – The Associated Press

STOCKHOLM (AP) — A roller coaster train derailed in an amusement park accident that left one dead and nine injured in Stockholm on Sunday, causing some passengers to fall to the ground, police and park officials said.

Witnesses described a chaotic scene in Gröna Lund Park when the front of the train appeared to jump off the tracks before coming to a stop and one carriage toppled to the ground.

“The front of the train partially derailed and stopped on the track at a height of between 6 and 8 meters (between 20 and 25 feet),” said Park Managing Director Jan Eriksson. “A total of 14 people were on board, one of whom died and several were injured.”

According to the regional government, nine people have been taken to hospital, one of them in serious condition. Three of the injured were children, all with minor injuries, it said.

Witness Ziba Assadi told Swedish broadcaster TV4 that she was standing directly under the Jetline roller coaster when she saw the wheel assembly of one of the cars hit the ground.

“Then the car stops and people fly out, fall out of the car,” she said.

Witnesses said two or three people fell out of the car, one of them grabbing onto the rail. Crime scene photos showed a man sitting on a beam beneath the stopped train.

“So he sits astride (on the beam) and waits,” Assadi said. “There was complete panic.”

The amusement park was evacuated after the accident and will remain closed for seven days to allow investigators to figure out what went wrong, park officials said.

“That must not happen,” said Gröna Lund spokeswoman Annika Troselius. “Security is the most important thing for us. And we would never open an attraction if we weren’t confident it was safe, so we need to investigate this carefully.”

Police launched a criminal investigation into possible charges of negligent homicide, assault and endangerment of others.

The 800-meter (2,600-foot) Jetline roller coaster opened in 1988 and was renovated in 2000, according to Gröna Lund. It has a maximum height of 30 meters (98 feet) and a top speed of 90 km/h (56 miles per hour).

Gröna Lund opened in 1883 and is Sweden’s oldest amusement park.

Bitcoin Trades Above $30,000, Fueling Trader Interest in ETH, ARB, VET, and STX – Cointelegraph

Bitcoin (BTC) hit a fresh 52-week high on June 23, suggesting bulls are on fire. Buyers have managed to hold onto much of the gains made throughout the week, signaling they are in no rush to book profits. Bitcoin is up 16% this week, outperforming the S&P 500 Index, which fell 1.39%.

Not only bitcoin but also ether (ETH) is showing signs of bullishness. Glassnode data shows that ether balances on exchanges have fallen sharply over the past 30 days, hitting a new low of 12.6%.

A similar drop in ether exchange holdings occurred in November 2022, followed by a sharp 33% surge. While a rally is possible, traders need to be cautious as the decline in FX balances this time around may have been triggered by the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s actions against Binance and Coinbase.

Daily view of crypto market data. Source: Coin360

Crypto recovery is not limited to bitcoin and ether. Several altcoins have rallied sharply from their respective lows, suggesting solid buying at lower levels. This suggests that bearish sentiment may be fading.

Could the return of buyers spark a fresh uptrend in cryptocurrencies, or will higher levels lead to selling from the bears? Let’s look at the charts of the top 5 cryptocurrencies that could rise in the short-term.

Bitcoin price analysis

Bitcoin has been trading near the $31,000 level for the past four days. This suggests that the bears are protecting this level, but the bulls have not given up. Typically, a tight congestion near a major resistance level tends to resolve to the upside.

BTC/USDT daily chart. Source: TradingView

The rising 20-day exponential moving average ($28,085) and the RSI in the overbought territory are suggesting an advantage for the bulls. If buyers sustain and sustain the price above $31,000, the BTC/USDT pair could start the next leg of the uptrend. There is resistance at $32,400 but it is likely to be breached. The pair could then rise towards $40,000.

The first sign of weakness will be a break and close below $29,500. In that case, the pair could slide to the 20-day EMA. This remains the key level to watch because if it falls, the pair could drop to the 50-day simple moving average ($27,199).

BTC/USDT 4 hour chart. Source: TradingView

The pair is stuck between the 20-day EMA and $31,000, but this narrow range trade is unlikely to last long. A break of the range above the $31,000-$31,500 zone could start the next leg of the uptrend.

On the other hand, if the price declines and stays below the 20-day EMA, it can result in stops for short-term traders. The pair could then drop to $29,500 where the bulls are likely to mount a strong defense. A break below this level could open the door for a potential drop to the 50-day SMA.

Ether Price Analysis

Ether has faced selling at the $1,928 level for the past three days, but the bulls are not ready to concede ground to the bears. This suggests that buyers are expecting the resistance to be broken.

ETH/USDT daily chart. Source: TradingView

The moving averages are on the verge of a bullish crossover and the RSI is floating in positive territory, suggesting that the bulls are in charge. If buyers clear the $1,928 barrier, the ETH/USDT pair could surge into the $2,148 to $2,200 overhead zone.

If the bears want to avoid the rally, they need to push the price below the moving averages quickly. This could hit the aggressive bulls’ stops, which could lead to a correction at the strong support at $1,700.

ETH/USDT 4 hour chart. Source: TradingView

The 4-hour chart shows the price stuck in a range between $1,936 and $1,861. The rising moving averages and the RSI in the positive territory suggest that the path of least resistance is up. If buyers propel the price above the range, the pair could start its march towards the psychological $2,000 level.

On the other hand, if the price declines and breaks below the $1,861 support, the short-term advantage will turn in the bears’ favor. The pair could then drop to the 50-SMA and later to $1,750.

Arbitrum Price Analysis

Arbitrum (ARB) surged above the $1 breakout level on June 19th and then posted a sharp surge on June 20th. This indicates a rejection of the recent breakthrough.

ARB/USDT daily chart. Source: TradingView

The bears are attempting to stall the recovery at the 50-day SMA ($1.12), but on a positive note, the bulls have successfully defended the 20-day EMA ($1.07). This narrow range trade is unlikely to last long and a breakout may be on the cards soon.

A break and close above $1.18 could signal the start of a fresh move higher. The ARB/USDT pair could initially rally to $1.28 and then $1.54. This optimistic view will be invalidated if the price declines and breaks below the $1-$0.90 support zone.

ARB/USDT 4 hour chart. Source: TradingView

The 4-hour chart shows that the bulls are struggling to clear the $1.18 obstacle. This suggests that bears are active at higher levels. The sellers pulled the price below the 20-day EMA but failed to breach the 50-day SMA.

The 20-day EMA is flattening out and the RSI is near the midpoint, indicating an equilibrium between buyers and sellers. If the bulls push the price above $1.18, it will indicate the start of a strong recovery. In contrast, a break and close below the 50-day SMA could lead to a drop to $1.

Related: Bitcoin Hits New All-Time Highs in Three Countries as BTC Price Surges $31,000

VeChain price analysis

VeChain (VET) turned down the resistance line on June 23, but the bears are struggling to keep the price below the 50-day SMA ($0.018). This suggests that traders are buying on dips.

VET/USDT daily chart. Source: TradingView

The bulls will try again to push the price above the resistance line. If they succeed, it means that the downtrend is over. The VET/USDT pair could then start its uptrend towards $0.026.

Contrary to this assumption, renewed downtrend from the resistance line suggests that the bears remain in control. They will then attempt to sink the pair below the moving averages and challenge the support at $0.013.

VET/USDT 4 hour chart. Source: TradingView

The 4-hour chart shows that the price has reversed direction from the resistance line but is finding support at the 20-day EMA. This suggests that sentiment is turning positive and traders are viewing the dips as a buying opportunity.

The bulls will try again to push the price above the resistance line. If they succeed, the pair could rally to $0.021. This level might act as a hurdle again, but if breached, the uptrend can begin. The first support on the downside is the 20-day EMA and the next is the 50-day SMA.

Stacks price analysis

Stacks (STX) surged above the moving averages on June 20th, signaling a possible trend reversal. The correction phase started on June 22nd, but a positive sign is that the price remains above the moving averages.

STX/USDT daily chart. Source: TradingView

The moving averages have completed a bullish crossover and the RSI is in the positive territory, which indicates that the bulls have the upper hand. If the price increases from the current levels or bounces off the 20-day EMA ($0.65), it will suggest buying on the dips. This increases the chances of a break above $0.89.

If that happens, the STX/USDT pair could rally to $1.10 and then $1.30. This positive view will be invalidated if the price declines and breaks below the moving averages. Such a move suggests that the bears are not yet giving up and will continue to sell on rallies.

STX/USDT 4 hour chart. Source: TradingView

The four hour chart shows that the pair is in a corrective phase. The bears have pulled the price below the 20-day EMA, but the bulls are defending the 50% Fibonacci retracement level of $0.71. Buyers need to push the price above the downtrend line to open the door for a potential rally to $0.88.

On the other hand, when the price diverges from the downtrend line, it indicates that the bears are trying to gain the upper hand. A break and close below the 61.8% retracement level at $0.67 could indicate that the bears are back in the game.

Ice Cube says he’s not a part of elite Hollywood club and issues warning – TMZ

Ice Cube I’m not in the H’wood ‘Club’… But I’m not going anywhere

6/25/2023 1:30 PM PT

ice cubes says he’s not part of the elite Hollywood “club” like so many others appear to be – and he expresses displeasure with the challenges he feels it presents him with.

The rapper posted a menacing video on Sunday of himself speaking directly into the camera… and the guy goes on and on about falling by the wayside with the elites and “gatekeepers” in show business and esports…at least it sounds like what he means.

Ice flatly says, “He doesn’t belong in that group and doesn’t want to be,” going on to say that this fact actually upsets people inside because he’s defying a mainstream cause for someone in his position.

It also looks like Cube is also talking about politics here… because he’s referring to his contract with Black America — something he laid out in the run-up to the 2020 presidential campaign and says he felt he felt it donald trump actually seemed more serious than Joe Biden.

TMZ.com

Following this, IC says certain groups have “shaged” him — and the way he describes it…sounds like he thinks certain hurdles were put in place in backlash against his stance. However, Cube says he doesn’t care because he vows to overcome it.

He mentions his Big 3 league… and says it’s prospered despite being given the cold shoulder by powerful institutions like the NBA.

Cube also says he’s planning to do a major podcast tour in the near future where he’ll talk to “everyone” — and he’s letting it sound like that, too, will cause a stir.

We already know the dude is an independent, free-thinking individual — but now he’s venturing out and becoming almost a show-biz outsider… which is pretty interesting.

Minnesota Timberwolves center Naz Reid has agreed to a new three-year, $42 million deal that includes a player option, his agents Sean Kennedy and Excel Sports Management’s Jeff Schwartz told ESPN on Sunday.

The deal keeps Reid out of free agency and secures him to the franchise, where he arrived as an undrafted single player and went on to become a must-have frontman.

The player option for the 2025/26 season gives Reid the chance to get another new contract in two years.

Reid had his best season — 11.5 points and 4.9 rebounds per game — before a season-ending wrist fracture kept him out of the final weeks of the regular season, play-in tournament, and Western Conference playoffs. The Timberwolves clearly missed his presence in their opening loss to eventual NBA champions Denver Nuggets.

The Timberwolves risked losing Reid as a free hand starting next week, but Kennedy and Schwartz had been negotiating with Timberwolves President Tim Connelly for several months and finally reached an agreement on Sunday.

After arriving from LSU in 2019, his rise as a bencher behind Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert in the lead up to the Timberwolves made him an attractive target across the league. He also shot 53.7 percent and managed 34.6 percent of his 3-point attempts.

After the All-Star break in February, Reid had 242 points in 312 minutes of play; According to a study by ESPN Stats & Information, only Philadelphia MVP Joel Embiid averaged more points per minute during that period. NBA Finals MVP Nikola Jokic finished third.

Reid, who turns 24 in August, would have become an unrestricted free agent despite his age since he signed a four-year deal with Minnesota early in his rookie year — just like Jalen Brunson did with Dallas before joining the New York Knicks made the switch last summer.

ESPN’s Tim Bontemps contributed to this report.

Legislature in Greece: The right of Kyriakos Mitsotakis is largely in the lead, Syriza in decline

According to the partial results, the party of the former prime minister was ahead in the polls this Sunday, June 25th. This should secure him an absolute majority to form a “stable government”.

The Greek left is sinking. Nea Dimokratia (ND), which ruled from 2019 to the end of May, won the general election with 40.4% of the vote, ahead of Alexis Tsipras’ left-wing Syriza party, which got 17.8% of the vote, according to partial results 30% of the polling stations. According to these polls, eight parties have passed the three percent hurdle to enter the 300-seat Greek unicameral parliament. Among them, the far-right Spartans party, supported by a former executive director of the neo-Nazi group Golden Dawn, Ilias Kassidiaris, who is currently serving a heavy prison sentence.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis welcomes his victory, which gives him “a strong mandate”. As head of government from 2019 to the end of May, he had won a major victory five weeks ago with 40.79% of the vote. Syriza’s double. But this push had not given him the absolute majority that would be required to form a government without forming an alliance. The ND leader had ruled out forming a coalition and called for new elections, relying on an electoral system that this time gives the winning party a “bonus” of up to 50 seats. According to analysts, this election could actually guarantee 157 of the 300 seats in Greece’s unicameral parliament.

With that, Alexis Tsipras suffers another heavy defeat after Syriza suffered a severe setback five weeks ago, falling to 20.07% of the vote, down more than 11.5 points compared to 2019. The question of his future at the head of the party should now be open when, after the defeat on May 21, the former prime minister (2015-2019) and troublemaker of the radical left in Europe admitted to having considered resigning.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis told his polling station in Athens on Sunday that Greeks would vote for “a stable and effective government” for the next four years. For his part, Alexis Tsipras warned of “runaway government” in the event of a major right-wing victory and called for “a balance in our democracy and political system” with “a strong opposition” able to play its part.

Two potential obstacles could emerge for Kyriakos Mitsotakis. On the one hand, the possible fatigue of voters who have called for elections twice in five weeks. On the other hand, votes are crumbling, particularly on the conservative right, where three small formations are contesting the votes of far-right sympathizers and nationalists. However, the number of parties represented will have mathematical consequences for the number of seats allotted to the New Democracy. On Friday, he even raised the specter of a third round of voting in August, when most Greeks are on holiday.

In recent days he has urged the Greeks to grant him a large majority. Indeed, with the widespread departure from Syriza, the Greeks have shown an eagerness to move on from years of bitter financial crisis and bailouts under drastic conditions that have left them severely impoverished.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis has also continued to improve its economic record, marked by a rebound in growth to 5.9% in 2022 and a drop in unemployment after the last decade of the crisis. During the election campaign, the 55-year-old Harvard graduate pledged wage increases, especially for the lowest earners, the main concern of Greeks struggling with the high cost of living.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis has also pledged to massively hire staff in the public health sector, which has been suffering from a blatant lack of resources since the financial crisis and drastic diets imposed in many public services.
