News: Google Maps makes it easy to save addresses with Shared With You – iGeneration

If you frequently share Google Maps addresses with loved ones in messages, a new feature will save you a little time. On iOS, you can pin the addresses in question with a new icon across from the Maps links. This will instantly save them to Google Maps without even opening the app. Addresses pinned from messages will then appear in the Shared with You list on the Google Maps Saved tab.

On the left the Messages application in which we pinned a common address. On the right the address stored in Google Maps.

Google Maps actually builds on the Shared with You feature introduced in iOS 15. Pinned addresses can appear in other places in the system, e.g. B. on the Safari home page and in the Spotlight results.

According to our tests, everything is not yet in order, probably because Google is gradually adopting this novelty and it has not yet been officially announced. Pinned addresses may take some time to appear on Google Maps. Also note the introduction of a new option here: Settings > Messages > Shared with you > Google Maps. Enabling this option will make Pins disappear from messages, so it’s best to leave them disabled for now.

A year of war in Ukraine: Putin "bluffs" with nuclear threat

“I honestly believe that Putin is bluffing when it comes to nuclear weapons and nuclear power,” the analyst said in an interview. “It’s the only thing Russia can use as a deterrent against Western military power.”

Nearly a year after the invasion of Ukraine, there are hints of escalation from both Putin and his allies. In January, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev warned that “the defeat of a nuclear power in a conventional war could trigger a nuclear war”.

But political scientist Nataliia Kasianenko sees the threats in the context of a conflict that has not gone as the Kremlin expected and a strongerthanexpected alliance around Ukraine.

“I believe that the Russian President is using the nuclear charter to threaten the West and prevent Western countries from offering more support to the Ukrainian people,” he said. “I think, frankly, the President understands that if he tries to use nuclear weapons, the retribution will be strong, and Putin will not be able to survive that.”

A more immediate threat, he said, was the preparation of another attack to coincide with the first anniversary of the February 24, 2022 invasion.

“We are concerned because we have heard of plans for further advances from the Russian side and troops being massed at the border,” Kasianenko said, citing reports of 300,000 to 500,000 soldiers ready to reenter.

“We know that President Putin loves birthdays, so Ukrainians are not looking forward to this February 24,” he continued. “There are many fears that there will be another major invasion attempt to take over the capital, Kiev.”

The shadow of an escalation in the war looms over a difficult internal situation in Russia, though Kasianenko dismisses the idea that Putin could be challenged.

“There have been many discussions about power erosion and power struggles in Russia in 2022,” he said. “Some optimists believed that perhaps the generals would realize that Putin’s plan to occupy Ukraine in a few days had failed and would try to seize power.

The analyst said that the idea that Putin is alone in his determination to occupy Ukraine does not correspond to reality. “It has supporters and elites feeding it certain narratives that tell it that Russia can and will win this war,” he continued. “I’m not optimistic about a coup, I’m not optimistic that there will be a revolution in Russia that will oust Putin.”

Kasianenko stressed that Russians opposed to the war have already fled the country, in a wave of displacement that has reached millions since the conflict began. “Other people remain silent and try to avoid politics because they are afraid,” he said. “The nature of oppression in Russia has intensified dramatically since the spring of 2022.”

The solidity of the transatlantic alliance also contributed to Russia’s isolation. Despite discussion in political circles from the United States to some European countries support has remained constant. China itself, which even increased Russian energy consumption, did not finally side with the Kremlin as had been feared.

“China has tried to walk the line and basically address both sides, the West and Russia,” Kasianenko said. “In terms of military support and diplomacy, it seems that the Chinese are sending a message that war is not good for the world community and the Chinese would prefer to end the war.”

Kasianenko, a native of Kharkiv in eastern Ukraine, believes Putin would only be willing to end the conflict now if Russia could keep the territories he occupied.

“But these are not conditions that Ukrainians would accept, considering how many people died fighting for Ukraine and that such a large percentage of the territory was brutally occupied,” he said. “Ukrainians are not ready to negotiate these terms. It’s not just about ending conflicts and wars, it’s about the cost to Ukraine.”

Honey my Marvel broke The Review of Ant Man and

Honey, my Marvel broke. The Review of Ant Man and the… i400Calci

My name is Quantum Tarantino and a few years ago a cruel gag forced me to review all the movies that had the word “Quantum” in the title. I was driven by an unknown force to look for the best in every film. My only guide was Nanni Cobretti, the founder of the 400 Calci, who appeared to me in the form of a hologram that only I could see and hear. Trapped in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, jumping from movie to movie, helping those in trouble, and always hoping that my next review will be the last…

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is the thirty-first film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the first of Phase 5, the third dedicated to the character of Ant-Man and the second, with Eternals, with an average grade below sufficiency at Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic. That doesn’t mean, to be clear, that people get bored with Marvel movies or they wouldn’t have made $100 million in a weekend. But if the big review aggregators like Rotten and Metacritic are a vaguely reliable thermometer (and no more) of American audience tastes, with this film Marvel has finally managed the impossible feat of beating the expectations of people who walked into the cinema with no expectations.
It’s kind of an Ant-Man thing, if you think about it. We didn’t expect anything with the first film and instead it pleasantly surprised us. We didn’t expect anything from the second and nothing is exactly what we got. We didn’t expect anything from the third and as the famous meme says

Honey my Marvel broke The Review of Ant Man and

A problem that resonates with all post-endgame MCUs, this seeming nonsense that the most ambitious operation in the history of cinema (cinema with a small c, out of respect for Scorsese) is taking much longer than expected to figure out what that is Shit, he wants to be great…
“What to do when you grow up”: Go there, what a crazy help to talk about the plot! ‘Cause there’s that Ant-Man thing that has the power to get awesome, right? But there is also the character of Cassie, Ant-Man’s daughter, who was a little girl in the first film but has now grown up and now that she’s grown up wants to be Ant-Man too.

1676883502 943 Honey my Marvel broke The Review of Ant Man and

kids, am I right? They grow up so fast..!

You may have noticed, too, but there are a few films where Marvel seem to have a slight obsession with parenting. There is certainly a utilitarian aspect as well, the need to prepare the ground for a generational change as the franchise is eternal but the actors are not (the case of Jeremy Renner is emblematic, who just about managed to pass the baton before he was run over by a snow plough). But in recent years, we’ve seen far too many characters give birth to, adopt, or take young mini-me’s under their wing not to believe that around 2018, Kevin Feige called all his minions together and announced that henceforth the meaning of life is to be a parent.
And may I say something?
I don’t care that much.
It’s a legitimate subject, god forbid, one that’s naturally tempting to explore – if you have friends with kids you’ll have noticed they just talk about it – and offers a handful of valid ideas, but is it absolutely necessary? does this happen in all movies? For all characters and always the same?
But I digress.
In Ant-Man 3, it so happens that Scott Lang and his extended family finally explore the quantum realm after almost 10 years of hanging around, and the result is a set of narrative presets that can be traced back to any franchise except, ironically, the admire one: There’s the self-contained and super-schematic structure of Star Trek where the heroes arrive at a planet / help the locals solve a problem / go home; There are spaceships, an evil empire of faceless soldiers, and a variety of absurdist creatures from Star Wars, complete with a basement moment where the characters -gasp!- enter a bar and see that it’s full of aliens, all of whom are mad a man with a head of broccoli or Bill Murray; and there’s the worst cinematography ever seen in a Marvel movie, dark and with an inexplicable fondness for the color orange that immediately makes you think of certain DC messes.

1676883503 962 Honey my Marvel broke The Review of Ant Man and

In addition, it is also an incredible compilation of missed opportunities.
When Scott and Cassie’s relationship is presented, one thinks that, at least in this round, the premises are in place to say something new. She, a “politicized” teenager, wants to use Ant-Man’s powers to change the world; he, an adult who has already seen everything, just wants to stay calm a little: it’s the perfect recipe for a good generational struggle and instead everything is solved at every moment without the slightest doubt touching one or both characters (or spectators). ) nor that a conversion takes place. At the end of the film, Scott and Cassie are the same as they were at the beginning of the film, only now they are no longer fighting.
As Kang (yes the villain of the movie is Kang the Conqueror, do we really need to talk about him? I dunno, he’s a villain, he wants bad things and to get them he does bad things, I swear) he says to Scott “I need you to steal something from me” thoughts whirl about the first film: a return to basics! Scott must pull off a quantum heist! Instead, it turns out that “stealing” is just a synonym for “carrying an item from point A to point B.”
When Kang is presented as very strong, very powerful, practically invincible, you think the heroes have to beat him with cunning or with something other than brute force. But it turns out that the trick to beating an unbeatable opponent is to beating a lot of them for a very long time until they become beatable.
As Scott stands at the center of the Quantum Storm and “infinite possibilities of himself” materialize before him, expect that thing to enrich the story: Scott sees the thousand other directions his existence could have taken and learns about himself . Or something like that, I don’t know, we’re still in the multiverse saga aren’t we? And instead it’s just an excuse for a gag: among infinite possibilities of himself, all identical, there is one in which he’s dressed like an idiot. How crazy!

1676883504 700 Honey my Marvel broke The Review of Ant Man and

Am I seeing double or is it four bulkheads?

Even from a visual point of view, it feels like you’re watching a cartoon written by very boring people, and with all the limitations that come with dealing with flesh-and-blood people. In a cartoon you can at least make anything happen, in a Marvel movie you have Paul Rudd’s agent telling you anything goes, but the boy has to be in my face at least 85% of the time (and so we witness among other things this obsessive-compulsive disorder that the characters in this film have of constantly taking their helmets off and on). The quantum realm is brown Pandora. Kang’s superfuturistic tech is generic sci-fi stuff – guns, spaceships, elevators – not much different than the generic sci-fi stuff characters use every day in the Marvel world. Millions of dollars in special effects to make the pew-pew laser shoot out of almost every character’s hands and make Corey Stoll’s head levitate (I won’t go into that further).

1676883506 444 Honey my Marvel broke The Review of Ant Man and

special effects! Pew Pew!

And don’t get me started on the issue of performative inclusivity, which doesn’t count for an iota on the big Hollywood themes of machismo and racism, but, hey, at least lest Instagram activists break our balls.
The film is called “Ant-Man and The Wasp” but it is absolutely clear, without the slightest possibility of error, that the undisputed protagonist of this film is Scott Lang, while Janet is “The Wasp” (but has anyone ever called her that? ) isn’t even the most interesting of the supporting characters. Co-directing the film with her (for the second time) just to show that Marvel is gender sensitive, hurtful and fucking condescending. Let’s imagine for a second that in the infinite possibilities of the multiverse of madness there is a little girl whose favorite character is The Wasp: She would like to watch a movie called Ant-Man *and The Wasp* and then sit through 2 hours Ant-Man while The Wasp blends into the green screen and the last 5 minutes saves the day?

1676883508 792 Honey my Marvel broke The Review of Ant Man and

“They say I’m in this movie too…”

Because that’s the only thing these pioneers of late-capitalist corporate feminism can write when they set out to “shake up the patriarchy”: tough, resolute and no-bullshit women who have nothing interesting to say but get through the situation Shoot or loose punches, just like men but better than men.
Also check out the character of Katy O’Brian, leader of the Quantum Realm rebels, dressed as He-Man’s villain: can you imagine the conversation that was going on at the time this was written?
– Hey hey, let’s make sure the leader of the rebels is a woman, girl power!
– Ok, but who is it?
– She is the leader of the rebels
– Yes, I understand, but what is his characterization?
– Are you dumb? I said she’s the leader of the rebels

1676883509 79 Honey my Marvel broke The Review of Ant Man and

Is it more feminist, a female character with a social role but solid characterization and without sexualizing her, or a very strong female character who dominates everyone but no characterization and walks around in a bathing suit?

It makes you smile when you think that in these years of profound gender reassessment in cinema, men are being taught that it’s okay to be sensitive, it’s okay to cry, it’s okay to fail, as long as they are young women are offered an ultra-pragmatic and affective superwoman as the only model, practically robocop but less fun. Give this style of writing another 5 years and you will arrive at the paradox that true liberation is going into the kitchen to make me a sandwich.

It comes full circle with the boldest attempt to talk politics you could expect from a studio that wants to please everyone without upsetting anyone. The film begins with Cassie being arrested at a rally and ends with Michael Douglas telling us to learn socialism from ants. First of all: MACCOSA. And then, seriously, I’m glad, but like this, with no context, no continuation… what does it represent me? Falcon and the Winter Soldier feels like Three Days of the Condor in comparison.

1676883511 705 Honey my Marvel broke The Review of Ant Man and

However, someone managed to take it

While Quantummania remains a weaker-than-bad movie, it’s incredible how Quantummania doesn’t abandon any original idea in order to save his life, and systematically gets almost everything wrong that could be wrong. It recycles old ideas, it flattens everything, it’s neither funny nor emotional. It takes a character who was all the more interesting for the smaller, more intimate, and more personal his stories were, and throws him into an epic adventure about the fate of an entire universe (which we don’t give a damn about because it’s the first and last time we see him) (I hope). He drowns every shot in ugly, unimaginative GCI and nobody but Corey Stoll seems to enjoy it.
Glad you’re forgetting about it.

BAFTAs 2023: Viewers slam Ariana DeBose’s ‘awkward’ and ‘painful’ opening performance

Viewers were stunned following Ariana DeBose’s opening performance at the 76th EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday night.

The 32-year-old, who won the gong for Best Supporting Actress at last year’s West Side Story awards, took the stage with a rap about the female nominees.

The performance began with song as she was joined by dancers who, in impressive scenes, ripped off her skirt before calling out the names of the members of the star-studded audience.

Racing to Twitter fans labeled the performance as “painful” and “awkward,” with one asking “why did this happen?”.

Later in the show, however, Little Simz wowed audiences with her “electrifying” performance when she took the stage with Joan Armatrading.

After Ariana’s performance, one viewer wrote, “Laughing at Ariana DeBose’s BAFTA song why did this happen?”

With another adding: “Absolutely awful that she wouldn’t even be hit on [talent show] The voice’.

Others agreed with the writing: “It was awful” and “God awful.”

Another said: “I have plenty of time for the celebs who smiled charmingly and awkwardly during Ariana DeBose’s painful BAFTA rap”.

And: “Ariana DeBose does an absurd rap about the women who are ready for things. She’s such a pro (not a pro anymore) though, so it hardly matters.

Little Simz later performed her single Heart On Fire before music legend Joan Armatrading joined her on guitar in a surprise performance.

Fans raved about the duo, who wrote: “Electrifying performance from Little Simz and Joan Armatrading.”

With another addition: “Little Simz and Joan Armatrading? That’s more like it!’ and ‘Joan Armatrading is a Legend’.

The biggest night in British cinema returned on Sunday night when actor Richard E Grant took the helm to present the 76th EE British Academy Film Awards.

Taking place at the Royal Festival Hall, Richard, 65, was joined by Alison Hammond to host the star-studded ceremony, while film critic Ali Plum walked the red carpet with Vick Hope.

Austin Butler took home Best Actor at the awards, beating favorite Colin Farrell in shock excitement.

The actor fought back tears as he paid tribute to the Presley family while accepting the honor after portraying the late King Of Rock in the Baz Lurhmann biopic.

Austin thanked the entire crew and team he worked with on the film and admitted he was “just trying to take it all in” as he choked back tears upon accepting the honors.

“It means everything to me,” Butler told the ceremony, still using the Elvis stretching tone he learned for Baz Luhrmann’s film.

He also paid tribute to the Presley family, who provided insight into Elvis’ life for the biopic, adding he “hopes he made them proud”.

Cate Blanchett also won Best Actress for her performance in the biopic Tar, the film’s only major win that night.

She tearfully accepted the gong as she thanked her mother and her director, Todd Field, adding that Blanchett also said 2022 was an “extraordinary year for women.”

She added that it broke down, that women’s experience was not “monolithic” and that her role as Lydia Tar was “a dangerous and potentially career-ending endeavor.”

Netflix’s German war epic All Quiet On The Western Front was the night’s big winner with a total of seven awards, including Best Picture, while The Banshees of Inisherin was a close second with five, including Best British Film and Best Supporting Actor or Actress.

The film, based on the 1929 novel of the same name by Erich Maria Remarque, tied with Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (2001) as the highest-grossing BAFTA-nominated non-English film in history.

Directed by Edward Berger, Felix Kammerer, Albrecht Schuch, Daniel Brühl, Sebastian Hülk, Aaron Hilmer, Edin Hasanovic and Devid Striesow can be seen in the leading roles.

During his opening monologue, Richard referenced Will Smith’s infamous slap in the face at last year’s Oscars, telling the audience that “no one gets slapped under my watch tonight.”

Smith stormed onto the stage during the 94th annual Academy Awards in March and punched presenter Chris Rock after the comedian made a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

The actor, who shortly thereafter won the coveted Academy Award for Best Actor, was later banned from all Academy events for the next 10 years and resigned from the organization.

In a speech at the Baftas, Grant said the only slaps received on Sunday were “on the back.”

“What a great year to host the Baftas,” he said.

“In 2022, cinema audiences were truly back and there has never been a better time to go to the movies.”

He added: “Well not now, I’m trying my best and nobody on my watch gets slapped tonight… except on the back.”

As the ceremony began, Carey Mulligan was incorrectly announced as the winner of the Supporting Actress Award after a translation error while deaf actor Troy Kotsur was presenting.

Oscar winner Kotsur made the announcement via sign language before a communication error resulted in Mulligan’s name being called out for her appearance in She Said.

The announcer quickly corrected the announcement and announced The Banshees Of Inisherin star Kerry Condon as the winner.

Barry Keoghan won supporting actor for The Banshees Of Inisherin, and the 30-year-old Irish actor said he “really should have planned that” before thanking his co-stars and Ireland.

Questioning prejudice and sin, Salgueiro brings a dispute between good and evil to the parade

The penultimate school to arrive in Sapucaí this Monday morning (20), the Academicos do Salgueiro, celebrating its 70th anniversary, presented a new look at the Garden of Eden or Paradise.

The school goes to the avenue with the theme “delusions of a red paradise”, about valuing freedom of expression and showing that everyone builds their own paradise.

The beginning of the parade was marked by a tribute to Joãosinho Trinta. The front commission’s act, titled “The Judgment,” led the carnival designer to duel with death and give the carnival back to the people.

The school was struck by the size of the open winged chariot derived from the Garden of Eden where Adam and Eve gave birth to human life.

Members had difficulty placing part of it on the avenue right at the start of the parade. It was a mega car, 100 meters long and 16 meters high, reaching 20 meters with the highlight. He carried 35,000 liters of water to feed two bubbling fountains.

Altogether the school parades with 3,200 members are divided into 28 wings and five allegories.

Seven of the 28 Wards brought the Deadly Sins: “I’ll Devour You” (Gluttony), “A Heady Laziness” (Laziness), “Paradise Is A Hidden Treasure” (Greed), “Nights of Magic and Lust” (Lust) , “Mirror for Narcissus” (Arrogance), “Poison in the Eyes” (Envy), “The Executioners” (Anger).

Prominent on the stage, MC Rebecca appeared in the “Amores ephemeros” costume, depicting those who are sinners because they indulge in passion, and actress Dandara Mariana appeared as Leviathan, one of the fallen angels who rule Hell. At the forefront of the Furiosa drums was actress Viviane Araújo in her 15th year.

The wing “All aboard!” came up with the rainbow flag colors that show the diversity in paradise with the LGBTQIA+ community.

In The Boat of Rebirth: The Revolution That Comes Out of the Water, the character Charon leads souls into the world of the dead. In the parade, she brings back the damned ghosts to find redemption. The allegory is inspired by Día de los Muertos, a traditional Mexican festival.

The parade also had lines like “From those who live by hunger to those who die of hunger”, “Regência de baco”, “São Zé Pereira”, “Batebolas alados” and “The extraordinary garbage is a luxury “. Car “Red Passion in a delirious paradise” and the grand piano “Song of a new era”.

“The first week was really difficult. The afternoon before his death I was at his house and when I left he threw me something that he was in no hurry to die,” said France Palin, who agreed with the interview with Le Journal.

The 53-year-old had no idea that her father’s fate would take such a tragic turn when she closed the door of the family home on February 6.

Fire

Just after 8 p.m., a few hours after he left, firefighters tried to get into the burning house, but the smoke was too thick.

A fatal siesta

“When my father took his nap, he would take sleeping pills. I think that’s why he couldn’t leave the house. He died from inhaling too much smoke,” Ms Palin said.

During their deployment, firefighters found the victim, Gilles Palin, on the 1st floor of the apartment building. He was later found dead on the way to the hospital.

Fire

“What I can say about my father is that he was a bon vivant. He always had someone to visit him. On Monday it was his best friend with whom he had already hit 400 strokes! We took turns on the other days,” says France Palin, pointing out that her father traveled with a walker and didn’t go out much.

double sadness

In addition to the loss of her last parent, Mrs Palin has had to mourn the loss of the family home where she spent much of her life.

“My mother died when I was little and my father took care of the farm. With my sister, it was our grandmother who raised us in this house,” she explains.

Due to the extent of the fire, the house had to be demolished to put out the flames. Today all that remains is a pile of ruins and ash.

“It’s difficult. We couldn’t recover memories, but who knows, maybe by cleaning up the remains we’ll find something,” France Palin still hopes.

The menstrual cycle does not distort the study of physical

recovery for the uterus

On Thursday, Spain passed a law allowing women with painful periods to take time off.

Spaniards suffering from severe pain due to their menstrual periods can take temporary sick leave, funded by social security, with the approval of a doctor.

Spain is not the first country in the world to pass such a law. For example, since 1947, Japan has granted Japanese women the right to menstrual leave, which is often unpaid but unlimited in time. In Indonesia, if pain occurs at the beginning of the menstrual cycle, a day or two of paid leave can be taken. It is also possible to take time off for this type of pain in other countries like South Korea and Zambia.

When are the Canadians shooting?

hidden reality

Getting your period can be very painful for many women. I know some who could hardly get out of bed when they had their periods. But for fear of losing their job or because they have already used up their sick leave, some of them act like nothing happened.

Would you be able to work effectively and feel your insides expanding and contracting?

For too long women have had to remain discreet about the ailments related to their reproductive organs.

It is not normal that many of them have to spend a large part of their sick leave on period-related pain, while their male counterparts do not have to deal with such problems.

It’s about time the Canadian government gave menstruating people a chance to get relief from their period pains without embarrassment.

Having a womb comes with some challenges and the job market needs to adapt to this reality.
