USA vs Netherlands Predictions, Betting Odds: Today’s FIFA World Cup 2022 Match Selection; USMNT faces a major test

The group stage is over and it’s time for the main event when the knockout rounds of the 2022 FIFA World Cup begin. They don’t have time to get involved in the important games as they start with a bang as the United States take on the Netherlands in one of the most fascinating matches of the round, followed by Argentina taking on one of the surprise sides of the tournament in Australia .

For USA, Saturday’s game offers an opportunity to match their best performance in a modern-era Men’s World Cup. The quarter-finals in 2002 is their strongest since the very first World Cup in 1930, when they reached the semi-finals with two wins in the group stage. This is a Dutch side who haven’t really been challenged by their Group A rivals Ecuador, Senegal and hosts Qatar. The USA, meanwhile, were being pushed by one of the tournament favorites in England, against whom they held a 0-0 draw. In between, they drew 1-1 with Wales in their opening game and beat Iran 1-0 to secure progression.

Netherlands vs. United States, 10 p.m. ET

A duel to watch: Cody Gakpo vs. Sergino Dest/Antonee Robinson. Gakpo is the Netherlands’ top scorer and usually plays for them on the right in attack (either as a striker or as a winger, depending on how you define his position). But it could be tempting for the Netherlands to switch it up and deploy him on the left flank, where he plays for his club PSV Eindhoven, to take on defensive suspect Dest. However, the Dutch don’t create many chances but when they do it’s Gakpo who finishes them off. He has scored in every Netherlands game so far and it will be up to the American full-backs to ensure that doesn’t happen again

Featured Game | Netherlands vs United States

Most likely to score: Christian Pulisic. He met and sacrificed his body in the Iran trial. That goal was the difference and carried USA to the knockout rounds. If they want to continue that ride, it’s because Pulisic will be able to terrorize and create a Dutch defense for himself and others. This US side fired more shots than the Netherlands team in the group stage, so look for Pulisic to lead the show in attack.

Man of the Match vote: Matt Turner. It won’t take many saves, but he’ll have to come up with a big save or two if the US is going to pull this off. And he has that kind of game in him. Turner may not excel with his feet, but he excels at doing the most important thing goalies are paid to do: stopping shots. A great team would not depend on their goalkeeper. But this isn’t the best team, it’s a good one trying to pull and upset. That requires Turner to play an important role.

Game Prediction: An early goal from Pulisic sets the tone and a couple of late saves from Matt Turner slam the door for an historic upset for the USA men’s national team. You win 1-0.

Argentina vs Australia, 2pm ET

A matchup to watch: Nicolas Otamendi vs. Mathew Leckie. Otamendi is the veteran of this line of defense and sets the tone with his aggression and strength. Leckie, on the other hand, is the attacking figure that can give this team the edge, as we saw against Denmark. Otamendi needs to keep Leckie in front of him and aim to have support to take him out or the attacker will have everything he needs to upset the Australians.

Featured Game | Argentina vs Australia

Brought to you by Caesars Sportsbook

Most likely to score: Lionel Messi. After saving his penalty against Poland he will be hungry to score here and he should be. Argentina are ten times better than Australia on paper, but the same was true against Saudi Arabia. Messi knows that any lead they get they have to build on it and not let anyone stay. Expect him to take some hits from deep if he does.

Voted Man of the Match: Enzo Fernandez. He’s been massive since game two and seems to be cementing his place in the middle. He can do a little bit of everything and has the quick decision-making instinct needed to change a game in attack. He will be great again.

Game Prediction: Similar to the game against Poland, Argentina dominates possession and chances as the goal line doesn’t reflect how one-sided it is. Argentina 2, Australia 0.

After praying I chose not to denounce my abuser

“After praying, I chose not to denounce my abuser”

Since the beginning of this century, Catholics in every country have continued to see human justice overtaken by some of their ecclesiastical and spiritual elites. Serious ethical and sexual deviations accumulated over decades, serious silences and lies, even marked physical and psychological violence come into question, with often irreparable consequences for the victims, but I dare say also for their attackers.

Anyone writing here knows something about it, as he himself was raped as a youth by his scout chaplain in a Parisian parish. In the light of the investigation and the Sauvé report, the question arose for me of forgiveness and forgetting the humiliation suffered. To tell the truth, I could only forgive in Christ’s way. Not to say to my abuser, “I forgive you”, which is almost impossible to formulate since the abuser shows no remorse, but at least: “Father, forgive him, for he should not have known the harm he has done to me for a very long time so excited! »

Transformation Episode

Should I have reported my case at the time of the Sauvé survey? Yes, certainly to increase the number, to comfort the too many victims and, if possible, to take the necessary measures of justice and prudence on the ground towards the most vulnerable of yesterday, today and tomorrow. However, after praying, I decided not to report my abuser. I learned that he ended his life in the service of the poor and did not apply for positions of responsibility that he could have claimed on the basis of his outstanding diplomas. I have also said to myself that justice must be done (for this priest others have succeeded me) but that some people must also bear witness to the reality of Divine Mercy.

On Tabor we see two great saints having a friendly conversation with the glorified Jesus (Luke 9:30). But each of them had blood on their hands at some point. Elijah himself had slaughtered 450 Baal prophets (1 Kings 18:40) and Moses had killed a violent Egyptian and then hid his body (Ex 2:12). The episode of the Transfiguration thus indirectly reveals to us the depth of divine forgiveness. One might reply that these acts of war were carried out for a good cause. So let’s take the greatest king of Israel, David. Although he was a lover of God, it was he who ordered the assassination of Uriah the Hittite to monopolize his wife Bathsheba. There Scripture itself reacts sharply by stating that “this deed displeased the Lord” (2 S 11, 27).

The early church chose transparency

Of such acts, which defile and darken the conscience of authentic ministers and servants of God, we have several in the Bible. Suffice it now to recall that the two pillars of the apostolic church were Peter, a former traitor (Mt 26:72), and Paul, a former persecutor of Christians (Acts 8:3). The early church could have silenced or watered down its grave shortcomings, but moved by the spirit of truth, it chose transparency followed by true forgiveness in repentance and trust.

Once these uncomfortable things are said, she doesn’t return to them. Today it is undoubtedly this just and merciful attitude that we should take towards our guilty brothers and sisters who have long since been forgiven. If one of them, not a recidivist, publicly confesses with genuine remorse (that is, an attempt to make things right) of an old act that was inappropriate or genuinely hurtful, we don’t blame them. Let us pray for him and, with proven prudent guarantors, give him the opportunity to return to his pre-sin life.

Switzerland is evaluating the driving ban for electric vehicles

Switzerland is evaluating the driving ban for electric vehicles

Thanks to a new four-step plan to avoid blackouts and blackouts, Switzerland could limit the use of electric vehicles (EVs) in the event of a power outage this winter.

To ensure energy security this winter, Switzerland could be the first country to restrict driving and use of electric vehicles, German newspaper Der Spiegel reports, citing multiple media outlets about Switzerland’s four-step action plan to avoid the blackouts. Driving electric vehicles could be banned in Switzerland except for “absolutely necessary journeys” in the third phase of the energy saving plan. The country is also including a stricter speed limit on motorways in the recently proposed action plan, which has yet to be approved.

Switzerland normally imports electricity from France and Germany to meet all of its energy needs, but this year supply from its neighbors is limited.

In France, nuclear fleet availability is much lower than usual, which has resulted in the country becoming a net importer of electricity after decades of net exporting. In January 2023, there is a risk that the French electricity grid will be exposed to higher supply voltages than previously assumed due to the lower generation of electricity from nuclear energy. Xavier Piechaczyk, head of grid operator RTE, said earlier this week that the country could risk experiencing blackouts this winter when electricity supply might not be enough to meet demand.

The situation is similar in Germany, as energy suppliers are struggling with the lack of Russian gas pipelines. The electricity supply in Switzerland remains uncertain for the winter and problems with sufficient electricity capacity cannot be ruled out, the Federal Electricity Commission informed Elcom back in June. Due to the expected lower availability of French nuclear energy and electricity exports from France to Switzerland, Swiss imports of French-generated electricity this winter are likely to be much lower than in previous winter seasons, Elcom said.

Therefore, Switzerland may have to cover its electricity requirements of around 4 gigawatt hours (GWh) through imports from the other neighboring countries Germany, Austria and Italy. However, according to Elcom, the electricity export availability of these countries will depend heavily on the available fossil fuels, especially natural gas. This endangers Bern’s energy security.

Uruguay snubs Mercosur and announces accession to the Transpacific Treaty

Uruguay snubs Mercosur and announces accession to the Transpacific Treaty

This Wednesday (1st), Uruguay officially submitted an application to join the CPTPP (Ample and Progressive Agreement on Transpacific Association), formed by 11 countries from Asia and America, including Chile and Peru.

The motion comes a day after Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay presented a joint text threatening Uruguay “to take any action it deems necessary to defend its interests in the legal and commercial sphere” if the country joins the agreement.
Similar warnings have been issued in relation to a study being conducted to facilitate a ChinaUruguay Free Trade Agreement.

The official presentation was presented by Uruguay’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Francisco Bustillo, and New Zealand’s Minister of Trade and Export Growth, Damien O’Connor, during his visit to Oceania.

Uruguayan President Luis Lacalle Pou welcomed the move on his social networks. “Minister Francisco Bustillo has just formally submitted his application to join the CPTPP. More opportunities for our country and our people. A cosmopolitan Uruguay. We trust the Uruguayans and their potential.”

WRR Minister Francisco Bustillo has just formally applied to join the CPTPP in New Zealand. Bad chances for our country and our people. A cosmopolitan Uruguay. We trust the Uruguayans and their full potential.

— Luis Lacalle Pou (@LuisLacallePou) December 1, 2022

Responding to Mercosur partners, Lacalle Pou said his government felt justified in moving forward with joining the CPTPP despite warnings from its partners, and appealed to international law. He was responding to Argentina and Brazil’s decision to cut rates between the two countries, which Uruguay and Paraguay did not participate in.

Upon admission to this free trade zone, Uruguay has free access to the markets of Australia, Brunei, Canada, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, Chile and Vietnam.

Under current rules, Mercosur countries cannot conclude unilateral trade agreements with other partners. However, there are loopholes in the bloc’s charter that allow these Uruguayan movements.

A few days before the last Mercosur meeting of the year in Montevideo, the topic fueled discussions about the course of the meeting.

Brazil, it seems, is not represented by President Jair Bolsonaro (PL). Argentina’s Alberto Fernández, on the other hand, will only be present for a few hours, according to official sources the bloc’s meeting is taking place on the same day that the sentence is due to be handed down to Vice President Cristina Kirchner, who is accused of leading a plot to embezzle public funds .

The idea of making Mercosur more flexible was defended by Brazil, Argentina (under the government of Mauricio Macri), Uruguay and Paraguay. Already under Fernández, the country isolated itself in defense of a more cohesive bloc.
In a recent interview with Folha, Argentina’s Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero stated that Mercosur “cannot prevent each country from pursuing its course, but in cases of mutual interest the only request is that they extend these agreements to the other member countries”. .

The Montevideo meeting will also be a meeting of anticipation about the direction Brazil will take after the inauguration of Luis Inácio Lula da Silva.

XFactor 2022 the testimonies of the semi finals the Omini

XFactor 2022, the testimonies of the semi finals: the Omini, who of … hominids, Fedez, moving target, there is the tiger Beatrice Quinta

The extreme recap of this XFactor 2022 semi-final: perhaps the poorest round of duet ever, an unjust elimination, Tutanrkomi’s revenge on a Fedez version of Roger Moore (moving target, for non-cinephiles), the Omini made out not so much by Tropea law as by… hominids were eliminated from the vote. There’s enough to give that a lot of “pepper”. Final next Thursday in the forum where two bands and two female voices will compete – the pinnacle of originality, consistent with an unforgettable edition of the talent show – but above all, a competitor from each team. Well: Of our “favorite” jurors right at the beginning, not so much Rkomi – who could count on the French Saints anyway, who had already pledged the final at the hearings – but above all Ambra surprisingly reached the last act after six ballots for so many episodes (“only” five from Tropeas, unlike what she remembers at the table), she loses the opportunity to be counted forever alongside Levante and other negative legends of XFactor, and does so with a band that even starts wanted and with whom he could not even agree on orders. In the end he let them do it and they did it well.

Greetings men, the construction site does not help them

When we learned every day during the week that the construction site would be one of the big names invited to a duet with the competitors, we experienced a mixture of opposite feelings: On the one hand, the curiosity to see them on stage little men one of the iconic bands of Italian music of the last twenty years, on the other the perplexity linked to the well-known attitude of rejection that the Sienese group has towards the mainstream, television with its performances and “hustlers”, the mechanisms of the contemporary music market …in short, enough to worry they’d turn up a bit (quite, actually) pissed off. And so it was, alas: their Charlie Fa surfing pays for a poor balance between Francesco Bianconi’s voice and Julian’s an octave up, but also for a number of off-beat attacks, giving the overall impression of a thrown-down performance there . almost irritating. And it’s probably this round, more so than the second with Blur’s Song 2, that the “hyenas” Dargen and Rkomi pounce on, punishing them in the vote by being sent to vote with Tropea. There they also play a steamy My Generation of the Who with a dutiful closing tribute, smashing the instruments as Pete Townshend and Keith Moon loved to do, and saying goodbye in style. Rated 5 for first run, 8 for second, 10 for lighting the stage when I realized it would be the last time.

Regicide against Fedez

That what was committed against Fedez was a genuine act of regicide can be inferred from the verdicts on the accused’s performance Tropea (grade 6.5): one Donatella Rector clearly out of tune and out of step, it conditions this pop-punk version of lamette that goes nowhere, not even exuding the energy one might have expected. Better but not so much in the second round for which they opt for Something Big by Lùnapop, a Ballatona that has undergone a similar treatment (because then the Omini always do the same thing…) and overall even interesting if not exciting. The “usual” Asilo Republic of Vasco in the last duel and Idi di Marzo who arrives with the “stab wounds” of Dargen and especially Rkomi for which it does not seem true that he can finally take revenge on Fedez by instead sending the three Torino boys eliminated all haywire because once we reached the semifinals it would have been right. And it should not be overlooked that the two “hominids” are also trying their hand at it Linda (score 7) who was very troubled by the comments about her on social media during the week: her moment of difficulty has repercussions both in the duet with Federico Zampaglione by Tiromancino (For me it is important, intense but a little imprecise) and in those that follow Waves by Dean Lewis. The impression – surprising – is that Linda has arrived, that she doesn’t have any more; but the audience saves them and that’s why we deserve to see them again in the final.

Santi Francesci favorites, but there is the “tigress” Beatrice Quinta

The other two finalists went completely different ways, even if – like Linda in the end – they never voted: the French Saints (9th Voice) in the “double duet” with Coma Cose they get a little entangled, especially at the beginning, but the beautiful Fuoco negli occhi, beyond a few inaccuracies, pleases more than the others. They always have a unique and recognizable sound, and in the second round they demonstrate it further with a great When you were young by the Killers, in which – beyond the surprising appearance of singer Alessandro on drums – we discover the almost unbelievable resemblance of his vocal timbre matches that of Brandon Flowers, frontman of the Las Vegas band. There are more and more favorites to win the final, provided there is no vote against Tropea in the forum on Thursday. Of Beatrice Quinta (Score 7), Palermo performer which we have criminally neglected in these lines up to now, something more than positive has to be said: powerful voice, stage presence even as a “stage tiger”, total dedication. Whether you reach the finale thanks to him or the hype surrounding the story with Rkomi remains questionable, also because the duet with Morgan on Lacrisis, one of the masterpieces of the former Bluvertigo leader, is downright mad. Like the little boy on the second floor of De Gregori’s Santa Lucia, “They both sing, laugh, and argue,” sometimes Morgan catapults her off the stage, and meanwhile we think, “I wonder if he’s trying to steal it from Rkomi.” …” . Angry to us, so-so the one that Marco Ferradini’s Teorema later undergoes the usual transformation (dance, in her case), which, who knows why, is an operation allowed to all but the Omini. Incredibly, she is more than Linda the designated rival of the Saints.

Dargen D’Amico decides to remain silent: Finally…

Said by two interesting hosts for different reasons (Kae Tempest and Tananai) and one Francesca Michielin now full control of the mechanism (vote 8), let’s just say a few words to the jury. Fedez (Score 7) we see that he can’t take it anymore and after hearing the result of the last game, he rewards twice, with the microphones still on, with the little brown word sneaky Rkomi (class 4)demonstrating the maturity of Baby Boss and the intellectual honesty of Dick Dastardly (message to Generation Z: if you don’t know who he is and you don’t know, catch up on some episodes of Wacky Race). Amber (Score 7) now he looks like Osho, but the real one: he doesn’t criticize anyone, he doesn’t argue with anyone, he appears in the number of the invisible woman and takes the “coup d’état” of the Tropeas who do what they want. Disguised in this way, however, she reaches the final and raises her hand, who would have believed it at the beginning. Finally, if the forum is really going to be a party, we’ll spare ourselves a few more jokes Dargen D’Amico (6 points), who, after last Thursday’s menstrual exploit, bites his tongue throughout the episode and then articulates incoherent noises and even more incoherent concepts when he needs to speak. He participates in Fedezicide, but in the minor role of Cassio, since Brutus is unquestionably Rkomi. Whoever, after an edition where he was a really bad judge in every way, will end up winning XFactor. The Department of Merit has launched an investigation.

1670071702 The fashion for throwing at the stars in full concert

The fashion for throwing at the stars in full concert: candy for Harry Styles or sausages for Lady Gaga

The fashion for throwing at the stars in full concert

Freddie Mercury sang that love can kill, and in the case of fans’ love, he was sometimes pretty close to achieving it, especially when the displays of love resulted in objects being thrown on stage. This has happened to Rosalía several times during her Motomami tour. In Buenos Aires (Argentina) they only threw a T-shirt and a letter at her, but the singer already replied with a warning into the microphone: “If you want to throw something away, please throw it carefully and carefully.” It didn’t help much, because days later a bouquet of roses hit him directly in the face in San Diego (USA). This time he responded with a tweet: “Please don’t throw things on stage and if you’re such a motomami that you throw them anyway, throw them on the opposite side from me,” wrote the Catalan.

On November 14, it was Harry Styles who received a slap in the eye attributed to a Skittle brand candy. It was so powerful that he apparently spent the rest of the concert with his eyelid closed. The British already have a long history in this matter. When he was part of One Direction, he was hit by a tampon at a concert in Nottingham in 2012 and later watched in surprise as they threw everything from chicken nuggets to shoes right in his crotch. His response was commendable and very professional: “The show must go on,” he said into the microphone.

Lady Gaga was not spared on her return to the stage this summer, when an identified object almost hit her, despite protests. At least nothing comparable to the concert in Barcelona in 2012, where sausages were thrown at him. And in September, Dua Lipa kicked a stuffed animal owned by Dr. Simi. The introduction of these puppets, very popular and popular in Mexico, has become a custom at almost all concerts, which is not always well received, as evidenced by the angry reactions of local idols such as Alejandro Fernández or Café Tacvba.

But what do they obey this kind of behavior? According to music journalist Xavier Valiño, author of The Great Rock Circus: Anecdotes, Curiosities and False Myths (T&B Editores), “everything has to do with adrenaline, with being part of something with a multitude of people and showing that you they are lives intense. It’s a powerful way of reacting to what’s happening on stage, and one of the few ways the audience has to participate in the show, for better or for worse.”

“You could say that the viewer seems determined to give something back to their idol, since there is an object of their love that is returning in the opposite direction. As you can see, this show is not free from a certain aggressiveness,” argues Manuel González Molinier, psychiatrist and psychoanalyst and former singer and composer of the indie pop group Hazte Lapón. “In this narcissistic age in which we live, the spectator does not seem to be satisfied with this passive and unequal position that he takes towards his idol, he wants to occupy a privileged place to bridge the distance that separates them also be the protagonist. You have to be careful with that, because there are all kinds of reactions that an artist can elicit from their audience, and not all of them are positive.”

From the Beatles to Kanye West, almost no one has been spared

Throwing objects on stage is such an ancient custom that it can be traced back to the time when tomatoes were thrown at theater actors as a sign of dissatisfaction with the play or its interpretation. The first documented case dates back to 1883, when an actor named John Ritchie was showered with tomatoes and rotten eggs in New York.

Whether it’s the—corrupted—fruits of love or hate, virtually no rock and pop star has been spared. The Beatles used to be showered with candy tosses on their first North American tour, supposedly good vibes, but George Harrison is said to have hated it so much he lost interest in touring. Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Ramones, Sex Pistols, Jethro Tull, AC/DC, Madonna, Barbra Streisand, Oasis, Green Day, Marilyn Manson, Justin Bieber, Marc Anthony, 50 Cent, Jeff Mills and Kanye West were also honored one of these unsolicited gifts at some point in your career. Some of them have been captured for posterity, such as on The Stooges’ live album Metallic KO, where Detroit audiences harass Iggy Pop with a continuous storm of beer bottles, candy, ice cream and eggs, among other things.

And there were also episodes that made rock history, like the one that happened to Alice Cooper at the Toronto Peace Festival in 1969 when someone threw a chicken at him. The rocker, thinking it could fly, returned it to the public, who tugged it until it was destroyed and covered in blood. From there, the hoax was generated that Cooper was killing chickens on stage.

Something even bloodier happened to Ozzy Osbourne in 1982 when a fan threw a live bat at him. The Black Sabbath leader was mistaken for rubber and bit his head off. Far from being frightened by what was happening, he later got used to throwing raw meat at the audience, who responded by doing the same.

Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson was somewhat shocked to see blood spattered on his feet at a concert in Portugal, while Mick Jagger was hit on the head by a chair at a Rolling Stones performance in Marseille in 1990. He ended up in the hospital, where he ended up receiving eight stitches. It was David Bowie’s turn in Oslo in 2004 when a lollipop hit him in the eye. As a reward, the Norwegians got a much shorter concert and a statement for the annals: “At least they didn’t hit me in the right eye.”

However, you can be unlucky if you are an opening act that the main artist’s fans may find inappropriate. It was the same with The B-52’s when they opened for The Who in Orlando (USA) in 1982. An apple hit her singer Cindy Wilson in the stomach, causing her to leave the stage. And it’s not just the legacy of more or less hard rock groups. In 1989, some Texas debutants opened for Simple Minds in Cardiff, Wales. The audience, who didn’t seem as committed to world peace as Jim Kerr’s band, threw bottles at guests throughout the concert, even hitting singer Sharleen Spiteri in the head. When she asked if it was appropriate to throw things at a poor girl who was singing, the rain intensified between laughs.

And in 1992, at the Benito Villamarín Stadium in Seville, he attended the group Faith No More, opening for Guns N’Roses, who were showered with a constant rain of beer cans throughout the concert. Karma would end up making his move, as years later it would be the same group of Axl Rose who received the bottle whips, this time in protest for leaving the stage late. In 1998, it was singer Meredith Brooks who was greeted with a barrage of bottles and coins in Buenos Aires when she performed for the Rolling Stones. She went on stage in the jersey of the Argentine team, took it off in protest, threw it on the ground and ended the concert shocked and outraged. Sometimes the aggressors aren’t even human. Should they tell the members of Kings Of Leon when they left a concert in St. Louis (USA) after three songs because of a rain of pigeon droppings.

Spain is no different

In Spain, just after the transition, the recently acquired right to freedom has also led us to wholeheartedly throw objects on stage, almost always from a purist rock perspective. Movida artists, for example, were often the victims of these attacks, which also took on autochthonous forms, such as the threat of throwing the musicians into the pylon. In a 2001 interview, Carlos Berlanga admitted to me that after this happened to them at a concert with Alaska and Dinarama in Calahorra, La Rioja, he was reluctant to tour. In Mallorca in 1983 almost a bottle reached Juan Verdera, the guitarist of Derribos Arias. “He was smashed to pieces and hit his microphone instead of his face. A miracle”. Ramoncín was also a regular recipient of items of all kinds, and not only the punkiest in his early days. His Battle of the Rotten Eggs at Madrid’s amusement park in 1978 was famous, but his reception at the Viña Rock Festival in 2006, when rocks and CDs cut into ninja stars were thrown at him to protest his anti-piracy campaigns at the helm of the SGAE.

The rock burned, like at the infamous Lou Reed concert at Moscardó football field (Madrid) in 1980. The New Yorker left the stage after a can was thrown and the audience reacted by destroying everything, like the Chronicle of the events of that time. The public in Madrid was most affected by this incident: days later, Bob Marley was scheduled to perform at the same venue, but the civilian government did not authorize the concert, claiming the danger of disturbing public order.

Love and Hate was received in industrial quantities by Hombres G. In particular, industrial quantities of women’s underwear. According to David Summers, there was a time when three or four hundred bras and panties could be brought onto the stage every night. When female audiences showed their eagerness in this way, male audiences tended to balance it out in more aggressive ways. Guitarist Rafa Gutiérrez recently revealed in La Voz de Galicia that at a concert in Vigo they threw a can of sand at him that he accidentally stepped on, leaving him with a buried knee for nine months. The script twist came years later when Iván Ferreiro admitted that the culprit was Alfonso Román, the guitarist for Los Piratas.

When the Héroes del Silencio performed for the first time in San Fernando (Cádiz) in 1990, they allegedly threw cans on stage. Bunbury stopped the concert, picked up one of them, hit his head and said, “You want to hit me? Well, you already gave it to me. Now let me play.” Xavier Valiño recalls how his friends swept up tequila with tomatoes and eggs at a party in Lugo because they considered them a pop group for fans. And throwing rotten eggs at them Sabrina Salerno at the Terpsícore discotheque in Negreira (A Coruña) was also highly commented upon by a group of outraged feminists after the singer bared her breasts during her television appearance on New Year’s Eve 1987.

Even the strongest couldn’t get rid of them. Extremoduro left a concert in Toledo after Robe Iniesta received a screw in his chest, and it wasn’t the only time. “Let’s see, one son of a bitch threw a can, then another threw a katxi. I already collected, huh?, so to the parrot, I go to my town and they give you the ass, huh? If someone wants to throw pebbles at the doll, they can go home,” the singer launched at a concert in Salou in 2014. Although, of course, the additional danger is greater if he had to open for them. In 1997, the Valencian group received Doctor Divago “a sandwich, a 25 peseta coin, an insulated skewer and a lit cigar” as she preceded them in the Benidorm bullring Fortunately, in 1999 at the El Sol hall in Madrid, the cigarettes that the public gave massively to the British group Hefner threw, knocked out in a beautiful act of complicity, while performing her song “Hymn For The Cigarettes.”
