VIDEOS | MARN forecasts a cold front and rain in El Salvador

“The transition to the dry season has already begun and would unfold its full potential from the second half of November,” Environment Minister Fernándo López said this afternoon.

A localized cold front is being observed over the Gulf of Mexico, according to the Observatory for Threats and Natural Resources. This phenomenon, together with the influence of the northerly component winds and the anticyclonic circulation in the mid-levels of the troposphere, inhibits the likelihood of intense rainfall in the Salvadoran area.

Despite this, López reiterated that there will be continued rain and isolated showers in the Salvadorian territory for the next few days as the hurricane season is still in effect.

“It will continue to rain, the alarm will continue,” said the minister. He also explained that the forecast is sticking, with sunny mornings and rain from 4:00 p.m. in different parts of the country.

Likewise, it is expected that there will be less precipitation over the weekend.

In addition, MARN stated that the sea wave and wind conditions from October 28 to November 3 are suitable for activities such as fishing, transport and marine tourism.

López also reported that low pressure is currently being monitored with a 50% chance of development, which could directly or indirectly affect the Salvadoran territory. However, he clarified that they would have the data within 4 or 5 days.

Meanwhile, civil protection is maintaining red alerts in 24 communities with irregular topography prone to flooding and landslides. The minister explained that the measure will continue due to the impact of the rains recorded in August and September.

“The monthly average of rain has already been exceeded and we’ve had a year above average, the best example being the month of August with 432mm of rain,” said López.

Number of hours which, although quite high and knowing how much player he is, is certainly a lower number than the true one since, let’s face it, many of us hide the real time we spend playing , if you ask us. This is also evident in the podcast itself, when Horowitz joked, “Only four hours a day?” to which gamer Cavill replied that maybe it was a little more. You can see the moment at minute 35:57 of this video.

Also, our Superman commented that his most prized nerdy item is a statue of the Lich King that Blizzard gave him and that he’s not interested in game development because “there’s a lot of work into that, and I’m not sure I want too much on it.” watch. “All that, I don’t think I like seeing all those ones and zeros.”

Halloween Celebrations: More than 100 dead in stampede in Seoul

A first statement from the authorities spoke of 59 deaths. South Korean news agency Yonhap later reported, citing official information, that the number had increased to 120. 100 others were injured, some seriously. The condition of some of the injured is very serious. The number of deaths may therefore continue to rise.

It is still unclear what exactly led to the tragic incident at night in Seoul’s Itaewon district. At that time, many hundreds of people crowded the streets of the popular nightlife district. Local media reported that around 100,000 people had gathered for the Halloween celebrations. In the crowd, there may have been mass panic.

Shortly after the incident, the fire brigade said that a large number of people had “fallen” into a narrow alley – and that around 50 people were being treated for “cardiac arrest”. In South Korea, it is common for local medical authorities to speak of “cardiac arrest” until death is officially declared by a doctor.

Videos of resuscitation measures

Videos and images circulating on social media show rescuers performing CPR on several people. Other recordings showed helpers trying to free people who were trapped under other people. Body bags were also seen on the streets. The BBC quoted a reporter at the scene as saying that ambulances had removed many of the dead.

Hundreds of rescue teams from across the country were sent to the streets to treat the wounded. The Seoul Metropolitan Government sent a text message to people in the area to hurry home. South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol has called an emergency meeting. Seoul Mayor Oh Se Hoon, who is currently on a trip to Europe, reportedly canceled and returned to South Korea.

Schallenberg expresses sympathy

Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg (ÖVP) said on Twitter (originally in English): “I have just returned from South Korea and am deeply shocked by the tragic mass panic in Seoul tonight. My thoughts are with the families of the victims and all who were wounded in the stampede”.

Schallenberg visited South Korea as part of a trip that lasted from Friday to Wednesday in recent days. The occasion was the 130th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Austria and Korea, which were promoted to a “strategic partnership” last year.

M the son of the century

“M, the son of the century” with Massimo Popolizio

The founder of fascism and his supporting actors: characters brought to the stage by Massimo Popolizio in “M, the son of the century”, the second part of which Rai Cultura proposes on Saturday October 29 at 9:15 p.m. on Rai 5, while on It starts Sunday 30th at 4pm, the full version will be broadcast, again on Rai 5.
Adapted in thirty paintings from the historical novel “M” by Antonio Scurati, the theatrical text – interpreted by Popolizio himself and Tommaso Ragno – brings the affirmation of fascism to the stage. The protagonists are the founder of fascism at least as well as his supporting actors, who express themselves in the third and first person, Marinetti, D’Annunzio, Margherita Sarfatti, the antagonists Nicola Bombacci, Pietro Nenni and Giacomo Matteotti (also caught up in the moving correspondence with of Mrs. Velia), Italo Balbo, the demobilized of the First World War and a whole cloud of individuals from below. The protagonist is the entire national community, “the opaque country”, almost as if fascism were not “the host of this spreading virus, but the host”.
A show by Massimo Popolizio based on the novel by Antonio Scurati; Collaboration with dramaturg Lorenzo Pavolini. Scenes by Marco Rossi, costumes by Gianluca Sbicca, lighting by Luigi Biondi, video by Riccardo Frati, sound by Alessandro Saviozzi, movements by Antonio Bertusi.

Strictly Come Dancing returned to screens for its Halloween special on Saturday as the sparkling 11 remaining celebrities took to the dance floor with their pro partners in the sixth week of this series.

The judges were impressed with his performance and Shirley said: “Who would have thought you would put on that kind of performance. The footwork was gorgeous, you shocked me!’

Motsi said: “What a surprise and what a hard work, wow!”. The pair received a total of 31.

Will Mellor and Nancy Xu were next with a cha cha cha. The judges praised his dancing with Anton, saying it was “a lot better than last week”.

They scored an impressive 32, with all eights from the four judges.

Next up was Kym Marsh and her partner Graziano Di Prima, with the pair performing a rumba.

It comes after week five wildlife presenter Hamza Yassin and broadcaster Helen Skelton shared first place in the rankings with their standout routines to celebrate the BBC’s centenary.

After both pairs performed again, the judges voted to save Molly and her professional partner Carlos Gu, meaning Jayde and Karen were sent home.

After last week’s public voting, the pressure to make the right moves is really on as the phone lines reopen after the show for fans to vote for their favorite routines.

House of the Dragon has a dark ending full of

House of the Dragon has a dark ending full of chases!

Also at the peak of other television series “The house of the dragon‘ debuted with extremely high expectations. As a sequel to the definitive postLord of the Rings fantasy series, the HBO show needed to combine the best moments from Game of Thrones and reward the muchmaligned final season.

While the first season of House of the Dragon wasn’t argued as well, overall it made the tenth and final episode even better, revealing one of the best action productions of all time in the franchise.

The latest installment of House of the Dragon is called The Dark Queen, a reference to Rhaenyra Targaryen’s (Emma D’Arcy) new and controversial title as Queen of the Seven Kingdoms.

The episode picks up right after the final moments of The Green Council, in which Rhaenyra’s older relative Rhaenys (Eve Best) knocks down Aegon II’s (Tom GlynnCarney) coronation with a dragon, killing several people and then making sure that they don’t kill the people who arrested them and pulled off a really longrunning coup.

Apparently, she went straight to Dragonstone to inform Rhaenyra and her greatuncle Daemon (Matt Smith) that King Viserys (Paddy Considine) had died. The following scene shows Lucerys running madly home in a raging storm while Aemond chases after him with a dragon defeating him like a shark chasing a fish.

However, in the short, gripping chase scenes, which pair perfectly with the two dragons fading in and out in the storm, there’s a real sense of danger to come and that anything can happen, especially when both dragons are enraged. stop listening to your suddenly desperate knights.

So Lucerys floats high above the storm clouds towards the sun and appears safe until Aymond’s unstoppable dragon dives in and annihilates the prince and his dragon in a matter of seconds. And while Lucerys may have been a relatively insignificant character, the shock and horror on Aemond’s face as he realizes he’s just made open war inevitable shows perfectly how quickly the stakes have risen.

One of the most underrated and painfully recurring themes of the Game of Thrones franchise has always been how massive events impacting the lives of thousands are driven by impulse or coincidence.

Ultimately, House of the Dragon season 2 is heading towards bloody civil war, because yes, there was a slap in the sequel question. But that’s also because Aemond lost his eye in a children’s fight, reasoning that he felt he had to prove himself by encountering his own dragon while being warned by his cousins Lucerys and Jacaerys was teased.

1667067766 Heres how the UK polls come out Labors lead over

Here’s how the UK polls come out: Labor’s lead over the Conservatives is the widest in 25 years

Hi! Today I look at what polls say in the UK after its last government crisis.

It’s only been six years since the Brexit vote, but since then the British have had five prime ministers, all Conservatives: David Cameron, who resigned after the referendum; Theresa May (reigned three years), Boris Johnson (two years), Liz Truss (six weeks) and the newly appointed Rishi Sunak.

These were turbulent times in the country and will continue to be judging by the polls. Check out the chart showing the evolution of polls in 2022:

  • Conservative Party support has collapsed. If they won the 2019 election with 43.6% of the vote, now they’re not reaching 23% in the polls. The Conservatives have backed the Labor Party since 2021 and took a first step back in June with the resignation of Boris Johnson, but their disaster came in September, when Liz Truss was already in office, following the announcement of a tax cut that was badly received by the get markets.
  • At the same time, Labor rose to 52%. This means that the crisis on the right has not resulted in a major rise for the Liberals or Reform – the old Brexit Party – but for the left.

It’s clear that the Conservative electorate is angry: According to YouGov data, of those who voted for the party in 2019 and now declare their intention to vote, only 53% will vote Conservative again. It’s lousy loyalty. Another 13% would vote for reform and up to 22% say they would vote for Labour.

All of these numbers bode well for the Labor Party, but there is one reason for them to remain cautious: recent history.

In 2019, the Conservatives came back from even worse polls than now. You can see it in the graphic below. In June of that year, the Conservative Party fell to 22% in the polls, following May’s resignation and in the midst of Brexit negotiations, when four parties appeared to be virtually level. But just six months later, Boris Johnson won the Conservative election.

Although the UK has been on a downward trajectory since 2015, the Conservatives can say they have always managed to hold their own in elections, winning at the end of 2015, 2017 and 2019. But this time there is a difference: Labor has never been as strong as Labor is now. . It is the main novelty. Recent crises in the Conservatives have coincided with upsurges in the Liberals, UKIP or the Brexit Party, but this time the Left have made the leap forward.

Today the Labor Party gets more than 50% of the vote in the polls, not since the days of Tony Blair, the last Labor Party to win an election in the UK, 17 years ago.

🏔 2. We have to rewrite the history of the 14 ‘eight-thousanders’

44 people should have scaled the highest mountains on earth, but a recent study found that only three actually scaled all the peaks. As Óscar Gogorza recounts, the others made a mistake on any summit: the climbers really believed they were on top of the mountain, they took pictures of themselves and descended, but they weren’t where they thought they were.

View of the last ridge of Manaslu. The grouped climbers cannot see the real peak in the background, which can be seen in this image captured by a droneView of the last ridge of Manaslu. The grouped climbers cannot see the real peak in the background, which can be seen in this image captured by a drone

The researchers behind the new study scrupulously reviewed the images to verify each climb. You found many bugs. Most people would have been wrong about Manaslu, whose actual summit is not visible. The Spaniard Alberto Iñurrategi is one of those who would not have reached this summit, but he is elegant: “I remember that we followed the ridge and descended in one place and there was no higher point to be seen. We were convinced that this was the top, but after seeing the study it appears that wasn’t the case. It is clear that we were wrong.

It’s fun to wonder if that matters: what difference does it make if someone stays 10 meters from the ceiling? The challenge is just as great and is practically mastered. But reaching these peaks has only symbolic value, and symbols understand no logic.

Incidentally, looking back can reopen the race for a milestone. “There is no woman who has actually been on the 14 peaks, the challenge is still open.”

🌍 3. Opinions in a geopolitical year

Some data from this BBVA Foundation study caught my attention, a survey of 21,000 people from 10 countries on geopolitical issues in one geopolitical year.

  • Spaniards who believe NATO is fairly or very important for Spain’s security have risen from 65% to 77% this year in 2022. In the less Atlantic countries, the increase is even greater: in France the group increases from 52% to 72% and in Sweden from 56% to 70%.
  • Should the US interfere in Europe’s security? Those who say they should do it a lot or a lot rise from 60% to 71% in Spain; in France from 55% to 60%; and in Sweden from 45% to 72% (!). The only ones who have more doubts now are the Americans: they go from 70% to 67%.

📆 4. An invitation: See you in the LAND?

In the newspaper we organize some exclusive meetings between journalists and subscribers of EL PAÍS, all of you in this newsletter and they asked me to play in the next one.

  • It’s going to be Thursday, November 10th, and the plan is simple: they show you the Scriptures, and then we talk in person for a while. We can talk journalism, think clear, whatever you want.
