In recent weeks, Bella has taken to social media to comment on the current protests in Iran following the death of a young woman who died after being arrested by vice squads.
She shared several posts from human rights activist and designer Celine Semaan Vernon, including her own passionate message.
Since the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, women across the Islamic Republic have been burning their hijabs, the head covering required by the Iranian government, and cutting their hair.
“Our sisters are being murdered to have the right. The right to exist in all your freedom, she wrote, “The freedom to choose your sovereignty over your own body. Unarmed, faced with the police and their guns. How can women make a militarized dominant majority so threatened and insecure?’

“Control of our bodies is the same need to control our country and our earth. Patriarchy is the disease.”
Bella has also been vocal about her opinion on the geopolitical conflict between Israel and Palestine on social media in the past.
In a post she said: “Today and every day I feel a deep sense of pain for Palestine and for my Palestinian brothers and sisters. Watching these videos physically breaks my heart into 100 different pieces.
“You must not become desensitized to seeing human lives being taken. You just can’t. Palestinian lives are the lives that will help change the world. And within seconds they are taken from us. #Free Palestine.’

Qatar has faced an intense scrutiny of the physical and contractual conditions for hundreds of thousands of migrant workers in the tiny emirate since it won the rights to host the World Cup 12 years ago.
It remains to be seen how much time World Cup broadcasters will spend highlighting allegations against the Qatari government, including The Guardian’s 2013 claims that workers were denied food and water and had their passports revoked.
Some claim they were not paid, or if they were, the payments were minimal and long overdue. A 2019 study by the Daily Mirror found that 28,000 workers were paid about $1 an hour over a 48-hour week.
Most damningly, The Wall Street Journal reported in 2015 that over 1,200 workers died building infrastructure for the tournament. Last year The Guardian put that number at around 6,500.
Qatar also punishes homosexuality with prison and regards men as protectors of their female relatives.

There are also strict laws on alcohol, drugs, public intimacy, extramarital affairs, dress codes, and swearing.
In March, FIFA President Gianni Infantino claimed Qatar had been progressive on workers’ rights: “I welcome the strong commitment shown by the Qatari authorities to ensure reforms are fully implemented across the labor market and a lasting legacy of the FIFA World Cup leave long after the event, and it benefits migrant workers in the host country in the long term.’
Some activists have urged celebrities to boycott the World Cup, with Robbie Williams and David Beckham both facing criticism for their association with the competition.
Robbie was recently unveiled during a press conference in Doha as one of the musical acts who will be performing at the Qatar Live concerts.
Meanwhile, David has agreed to a £10m deal to become the country’s ambassador for over a decade, which has resulted in him being the face of the 2022 World Cup.
