A few weeks after the split from singer Shakira, rumors surfaced that defense attorney Gerard Piqué had betrayed the singer back in 2012.

The woman involved in the story is Israeli model Bar Refaeli, who dated Leonardo DiCaprio and denied having a relationship with the Spanish player.

“I sent the information to a source close to Shakira a few days ago. After a while, they finally managed to confirm Piqué’s alleged betrayal of Refaeli in 2012,” said Spanish journalist Jordi Martin of the program El Gordo Y la Flaca. .

“A few days ago I spoke to a close friend of the model who is also a longtime friend of mine. He confirmed the reason for their frequent visits to Barcelona at the time. Shakira was shocked,” the reporter added.

The Israeli model recently denied this, saying that she and Piqué are “just friends”.

Refaeli would have engaged with the athlete shortly after splitting from her thenboyfriend Leonardo DiCaprio. The Spanish defender has two children, Milan, 7, and Sasha, 5, with Shakira, to whom he has been married since 2010.

Immigration: Anglade denounces Legault’s ‘message’ to immigrants

MONTREAL | In an impromptu reply on Monday, Dominique Anglade seemed to agree that François Legault “doesn’t like immigrants”. She then clarified that the chief captain’s “message” gave that impression.

The Liberal leader attended an editorial table with various media outlets from cultural communities in Montreal in the afternoon.

Speaking in English, Sept Days newspaper journalist Ling Yin stated that “François Legault, he doesn’t seem to like immigrants”.

“Do you think?” Ms Anglade replied tit for tat, eliciting a few laughs from around the table. The phrase is generally used in a sarcastic tone to emphasize the obvious.

After the event, the media, which followed the Liberal leader during her election campaign, wanted to know what she wanted to say with this reaction.

Dominique Anglade refused to explain François Legault’s feelings towards immigrants, without contradicting Ms. Yin.

“That’s clearly the message he’s sending. Well, what does he really think you will ask him, but that is clearly the message he is sending on immigration. That’s clearly the message he’s sending about being different,” she said.

Ms Anglade then listed François Legault’s on-file reaction to the death of Joyce Echaquan, his link between immigration and violence, the adjunct “anecdote” to talk about Liberal MP Saul Polo’s integration story, and then the discourse on it ” Louisianization” of Quebec.

“There are many examples where it’s constantly dividing the population,” the Liberal leader said.

For them, the CAQ boss sees this as a political gain. “He wants to fuel each other’s differences, he wants to fuel this division,” she says.

“He does it on purpose,” she insists.

2 MILLION migrants arrested at Mexico border for first time in history in one year

For the first time in history, more than two million migrants have been arrested at the Mexican border in a year.

The records, uncovered in Customs and Border Police records compiled at the border, come amid an ongoing flow of migrants into Texas, Arizona and California.

The numbers show an increase this spring with 241,000 law enforcement encounters, with the number remaining above 200,000 each month even after falling.

In August there were a total of 203,000.

The figures cover an 11-month period, so the grand total will not be announced until after the fiscal year-end on September 30th.

Border officials had more than 2 million encounters with migrants at the southern border during the fiscal year – a new record – with another month of border fears to supplement the data

The number of arrests increases in the spring but remains elevated throughout the summer

The migrants, coming from Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua, were stopped by law enforcement at a rate of 56,000 last month, up from 50,000 in July and a rise of 23,000 in August, administration officials said. That includes 18,000 encounters with Venezuelans, most in the areas around Eagle Pass and Del Rio, Texas.

Political tensions make it more difficult for the US to deport migrants to these host countries.

“The failure of communist regimes in Venezuela, Nicaragua and Cuba is driving a new wave of migration across the western hemisphere, including the recent surge in encounters at the southwestern US border,” said Chris Magnus, commissioner of Customs and Border Protection.

“At the same time, the number of migrants entering from Mexico and northern Central America has declined for the third straight month as the Biden-Harris administration works with our partners in the region to address the root causes of migration, facilitate repatriation and thousands Get smugglers off the streets,” he added.

Those from Mexico and Central America accounted for just over a third of encounters, or 36 percent, with a 43 percent decrease.

The rush of Venezuelan migrants hoping to enter the US came into focus when Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) used government money to send a plane carrying migrants in Texas to liberal Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.

Texas and Arizona GOP governors have sent migrants to New York, Washington, DC, with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott even sending migrants dumped on the street outside Harris’ official Washington residence.

The record for last year was 1.73 million, showing a steady increase.

The Republican National Committee released the new numbers in a press release, noting that “since Biden took office, more than 4.4 million illegal immigrants have crossed the line.”

The inability to slow the flow of migrants has been a political headache for Biden throughout his tenure, and it’s also caused anger for Vice President Kamala Harris, who caused an uproar last week for saying “the border is safe.”

As part of her portfolio, Harris sought to slow migration from the “Golden Triangle” countries of Central America, in part by working on the “root causes” of migration.

“We stand by doing everything in our power to ensure we follow the process outlined,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said. “So we have historical means to do just that, to make sure the people we meet at the border are removed or expelled.”

President Joe Biden has called for sweeping immigration reforms to be passed, but legislation has stalled.

The August figures were up 1.7 percent from July, and more than a fifth – 22 percent – had attempted to cross the border in the previous year.

SF based Uber attacked by hacker with possible Lapsus$ connections

San Francisco-based ride-hailing tech giant Uber said it fell victim to a hacker – or a group of hackers – who they believe is linked to a notorious “cybergang” that has been operating in recent months for… a series of high-level hacks was responsible.

Uber believes the hack, which took place Thursday, originated from the account of a compromised corporate entrepreneur, the company said in a public statement Monday morning. The “contractor’s personal device was infected with malware” — and although two-factor authentication initially blocked the hacker, the contractor accepted a request for approval and the hacker got on board.

“The attacker then sent a message to a company-wide Slack channel that many of you saw and reconfigured Uber’s OpenDNS to show employees a graphical image on some internal websites,” the company said.

The “graphic image” in question was reportedly a penis. An anonymous Uber contributor on tech forum Blind claimed the hacker spammed the company’s internal slack with racial slurs and claimed that “Uber underpays its drivers.”

It doesn’t appear that the hacker edited the company’s “codebase” — Uber’s source code — or accessed databases that “store sensitive user information,” the company said. However, the hacker may have downloaded some internal information, mostly information from an internal financial service and Slack messages.

The “cybergang” potentially linked to this Uber hack is Lapsus$, the notorious group believed to be responsible for hacks against Samsung, chipmaker Nvidia, cybersecurity firm Okta, and most recently gaming company Rockstar Games responsible for. The latter hack led to a leak of footage of the much-anticipated latest entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, Grand Theft Auto IV. Alleged Lapsus$ members, including a 16-year-old from the UK accused of being a leader of the group, were arrested in March.

As Tory Lanez awaits felony charges for shooting and injuring Megan Thee Stallion in an attack in Los Angeles two years ago, the rapper is now facing allegations that he died in Chicago over the weekend Singer August Alsina attacked.

Alsina’s allegations, which were shared online with multiple photos showing the Louisiana crooner’s bloody lip and other wounds, are now the subject of an extrastate investigation by the Los Angeles County Attorney’s Office prosecuting the gun attack on Megan.

“We are aware of the allegations that the defendant attacked the artist August Alsina and are investigating these allegations. The allegations are serious and are being thoroughly investigated,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement to Rolling Stone.

It was Sunday when Alsina claimed in a series of graphic Instagram posts that Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, assaulted him at the Fall Back In Love Comedy & Music Jam show, which was held at the Arie Crown Theater in Chicago on Saturday night took place.

Alsina, 30, described Peterson as a hyperactive “goblin” who rushed up to him with eight “oversized” bodyguards to ask him why the singer hadn’t “padded him up,” meaning shaking his hand. Alsina says he replied that he didn’t think the two were friends and that his doctor had advised him to avoid shaking hands amid ongoing concerns about Covid and monkeypox. The singer shared additional photos showing pink, fleshy wounds on the inside of his lip, near an elbow and on a knee. He claims he was the victim of a “surreptitious assault” by Peterson, who then allegedly “ran back into the building.”

Chicago police confirmed to Rolling Stone that a 30-year-old man was allegedly “slapped in the face” by another 30-year-old man around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, listing a location consistent with the theater.

“Detectives are investigating,” the department says, refusing to name the victim. The department says offenders will only be identified by name if they have been charged or a warrant has been issued.

Peterson’s Los Angeles defense attorney did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone’s request for comment.

Meanwhile, prosecutors in Megan’s case had no problem getting involved. They previously asked the judge hearing their assault case to revoke or increase the rapper’s bail because he allegedly violated protective orders.

Peterson, 30,’s bail was increased to $250,000 in September 2021 after a judge found he violated orders to come within 100 yards of Megan or molest her in any way. Prosecutors said he attended Miami’s Rolling Loud Festival in July 2021 and “tried to storm the stage” while Megan was performing. Disguised in a costume, he also hopped onstage with DaBaby while Megan was still at the venue performing her song “Cry Baby,” prosecutors said in their bail application, which was obtained by Rolling Stone.

Peterson’s bail was increased again to $350,000 in April after a judge found the “SKAT” rapper had violated protective orders that prohibited him from harassing Megan or discussing the discovery in the case with outsiders.

The start of Peterson’s Los Angeles criminal trial was postponed again last week after a judge set a new return date for November 28. Prosecutors say they expect jury selection to begin on December 5.

Mason Cole downplays Huddle arguments: ‘We’re all competitors here’

After the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 17-14 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday, Mitch Trubisky alluded to an argument in the locker room over playcalling.

“But when everyone’s like, ‘name the game, name the game it,’ it makes it difficult for everyone to do their jobs. I think everyone just has to do their job and we’ll just keep growing and going in the right direction together,” Trubisky said in his post-game press conference via the team’s YouTube.

Today, center Mason Cole was asked about the group’s struggles and attributed it to everyone being competitive.

“We are all competitors here. Everyone wants the ball, everyone wants a touchdown. That’s always the case with this game. And in competitive moments, it always will be. You have to like that from the boys. Boys want the ball, boys want to make plays and that’s what playmakers are for,” said Cole via Steelers Live.

Pittsburgh have a lot of mouths to feed on offense. Between Najee Harris, Diontae Johnson, Chase Claypool, Pat Freiermuth, and even George Pickens (whose involvement has been little to nonexistent so far), there are plenty of guys on the Steelers offense who can make plays and want to play.

When the offense is struggling and these guys feel like they can’t make those plays, frustration can certainly set in. Whether it’s the offensive coordinator (which it certainly seems to be) or anyone else, it can lead to a little bit of competitive fire getting out in the group in a way that doesn’t necessarily seem effective.

Obviously like Cole said you like having guys who want to get the ball in their hands to try and make a difference. They want players who want to make plays, and the Steelers seem to have that. The problem is that the offense doesn’t click in a way that they can do this now and that will lead to frustration.

When an offense with that much talent gets two touchdowns in two games, the boys aren’t going to be happy. They can’t be blamed either as the offense is holding the Steelers back a lot at the moment and the playmakers feel they can make a positive impact on offense but they’re not being given the chance to do so.

Thursday night against Cleveland will be extremely important for this team. It’s not just a divisional matchup, it’s a chance to prove the Steelers’ offense is better than what they’ve shown in two games. And that extends to the coaching staff with playcalling in addition to execution on the field. If offense stagnates again, changes could come sooner rather than later.
