Ukraine’s president has accused Russia of war crimes after Vladimir Putin’s forces launched attacks that were thought to be cluster and vacuum bombs in a bid to reverse the course of the conflict they have been losing so far.

In a late-night address to Russia, Vladimir said there would “definitely be an international tribunal” for “violating all conventions”, as he said, adding that “no one in the world will forgive you for killing a peaceful the Ukrainian people. ” Hague prosecutors say they intend to launch an investigation “as soon as possible”.

Zelensky speaks after an attack that looked like a cluster bomb on the city of Kharkov on Monday, killing at least 11 people and injuring dozens more, and after Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States accused Putin’s forces of using a banned thermobaric bomb against the capital Kyiv at night.

The bombing of Kharkiv continued on Tuesday morning with a rocket landing right in front of the building of the civil public administration, destroying the road outside and blowing up the windows of the building itself.

Footage from the interior shows that the building is badly damaged, with collapsed ceilings and scattered rubble.

Two Russian planes diverted after trying to enter Canadian airspace

February 28 – Two Russian flights trying to enter Canadian airspace on Monday were diverted by the Federal Aviation Administration after the planes identified themselves as “humanitarian” flights, the Canadian Air Traffic Control said.

Canada has banned Russian planes from entering its airspace since Sunday as part of heavy sanctions imposed on Moscow in response to its unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. Read more

But on the same day, Aeroflot’s AFL111 (AFLT.MM) violated the ban after declaring itself a humanitarian flight. Under normal circumstances, the Canadian Air Traffic Control Service NAV CANADA does not have the authority to deny access to the airspace of an aircraft that is declared a humanitarian flight.

Other Russian planes trying to enter Canadian airspace took off from US airports.

NAV CANADA, together with the regulator Canada Canada, has issued a directive to all air traffic control units to deny access to all recognizable Russian aircraft to their airspace. The only exception to this ban is the prior approval of Transport Canada.

In the event of a state of emergency, NAV CANADA is obliged to direct the aircraft to land at the nearest airport and notify the regulator.
