Following are reactions from world leaders and politicians Russiadeclaring war on Ukraine early in the morning on Moscow television.

Some said they were “horrified” by Vladimir PutinRussia’s attack, while others expressed support for Ukraine.

Shortly after the new breakthrough of the invasion, the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson He tweeted: “I am horrified by the horrific events in Ukraine and I spoke with President Zelensky to discuss the next steps.”

“President Putin has chosen the path of bloodshed and destruction by launching this unprovoked attack on Ukraine. The United Kingdom and our allies will respond decisively, “he added.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Thursday morning condemned Russia’s attack as an “unjustified and gross violation of international law.”

“To the Ukrainian people, to President Zelensky tonight, I reaffirm our support, our commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine,” French President Emmanuel Macron tweeted in French on Wednesday night.

“On economic and financial issues, in terms of defense equipment, France will continue to support it,” he added.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Thursday morning condemned Russia’s attack as an “unjustified and gross violation of international law” and said Berlin would consult with its G7, NATO and EU partners.

“This is a terrible day for Ukraine and a grim day for Europe,” he told Reuters.

In a coordinated response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Germany suspended certification of Russia’s Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline on Tuesday, after which President Joe Biden announced he was sanctioning the company building the pipeline.

State Department spokesman Ned Price said Wednesday afternoon that Nord Stream 2 was a “reward investment of $ 11 billion, which is now steel at the bottom of the sea.”

Germany relies on Russia as its main gas supplier, and the pipeline would double the amount of gas flowing into the country.

Vladimir Putin ordered an invasion of Ukraine the next morning, describing it as a “special military operation” and saying he wanted to “demilitarize” rather than occupy the country.

Hours after his address, which came around 6 a.m. Moscow time, Ukraine’s interior ministry said there were hundreds of casualties, CNN reported, although Russia insisted they were attacking only military sites and avoiding settlements.

Respondents to Ukraine’s allies and world leaders included Mateusz Morawiecki, prime minister of neighboring Poland, who called for more sanctions against Russia. “We must respond immediately to Russia’s criminal aggression against Ukraine,” he tweeted.

“Europe and the free world must stop Putin. Today’s European Council must approve the toughest possible sanctions. “Our support for Ukraine must be real,” he added.

“Canada condemns – most strongly – Russia’s brutal attack on Ukraine,” tweeted Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau early Thursday morning.

“These unprovoked actions are clearly a further violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as Russia’s obligations under international law and the UN Charter,” he added.

“I strongly condemn Russia’s direct military attack on our neighbor, #Ukraine. [Russia] grossly violates international law and the principles of the UN Charter. This is a direct threat to European security, “tweeted Ivan Korzok, Slovakia’s foreign and European affairs minister.

Russia’s neighbor Finland also condemned the attack, with Prime Minister Sanna Marin tweeting, “I strongly condemn Russia’s military action in Ukraine.”

“The attack is a serious violation of international law and threatens the lives of many civilians. “Finland is expressing its strong support for Ukraine and the Ukrainians, and we are looking for ways to increase that support,” Marin tweeted.

Meanwhile, some US lawmakers have offered their support for Ukraine, while others have weighed their thoughts on what led to the invasion.

“California is with the people of Ukraine tonight. Russia is launching an unprovoked attack – an armed attempt to overthrow a sedentary democracy. There must be consequences, “Gavin Newsom tweeted.

Former Democratic Party spokesman Tulsi Gabbard, who sparked anger with statements about the crisis, did not appear to condemn Russia and instead blamed President Joe Biden for the invasion.

“This war and suffering could have been easily avoided if the Biden / NATO administrator had simply acknowledged Russia’s legitimate fears that Ukraine would become a member of NATO, which would mean that US / NATO forces are right on Russia’s border, “she tweeted.

Former President Donald Trump was also quick to point the finger and blame the devastating invasion.

Vladimir Putin has ordered an invasion of Ukraine, describing it as a “special military operation” and saying he wants to “demilitarize” rather than occupy the country.

Speaking to Laura Ingraham of Fox when the Kremlin’s “special military operation” began, Trump said the so-called “fraud for Russia” had ruined his good relations with both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi. argues that he kept the two separated.

Ingram asked Trump about the continuing closeness between Putin and Xi.

“Well, I had a good relationship with both of them,” he said. “It simply came to our notice then. You see what happened to Durham and these reports and other reports, including Mueller. It was just a fabricated fraud and really hurt our country, but despite the fraud, I also had good relations with President XI of China, in addition to imposing duties and devilish taxes on him.

“As a young man growing up, I’ve always heard that the worst thing that can happen is to bring these two countries together. It really started with Obama and energy. He drove them together because one needed energy and the other needed money, “Trump added.

“He drove them together and Biden – I kept them separate – and Biden is a great love holiday now, and that’s a very bad thing, and I think you can probably add Iran to it.”

Trump says he used his good relations with Putin to prevent this.

“Well, I know him very well.” We had many, many times together. I got along with him fantastically, despite the fact that I closed Nord Stream 2, no one would have heard of Nord Stream 2 if it weren’t for me. I am the one who closed it.

An explosion was observed in the early hours of Thursday in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv

Early Thursday morning, Ukraine’s border forces said their posts in the north had been attacked by both Russian and Belarusian forces – a very significant development, which means Russia is not acting alone and is attacking from all sides.

Earlier Thursday, the Russian president told Ukrainian troops “to lay down their arms and go home” while declaring war on Ukraine in an early morning address to the nation.

Putin said Russia could not exist with a “permanent threat coming from Ukrainian territory” and clashes between Russian and Ukrainian troops were “inevitable.”

The President of Ukraine declared martial law in the early hours of Thursday in a video address to the people, urging people to stay at home and stay strong. He said he had just spoken to Joe Biden.

‘We’re working. The army is working, “he said.

“Don’t panic.” We are strong. We are ready for anything. We will all win. Because we are Ukraine.

Unconfirmed reports say Russian forces have destroyed or rendered the Ukrainian navy unfit and taken control of Kiev’s Borispol airport.

Access to the Black and Azov Seas has been cut off.

More unconfirmed messages on Twitter appear to indicate a huge naval landing by Russian forces in the Black Sea port of Odessa, involving large landing ships and helicopters just before 6 a.m. local time.

President Joe Biden will address the nation at noon on Thursday and condemned Russia’s “unprovoked and unjustified attack” on Wednesday night. He talks with the President of Ukraine.

Biden said in a statement: “President Putin has chosen a deliberate war that will bring catastrophic loss of life and human suffering.

“Russia alone is responsible for the death and destruction that this attack will bring, and the United States and its allies and partners will respond in a united and decisive way. The world will hold Russia responsible.

Biden said he would monitor the situation in Washington, D.C., and would continue to receive regular updates from his national security team.

This is the moment when a hostage was handcuffed in an Apple store in Amsterdam before he could escape … and take his kidnapper outside, where the police ran him over.

Photos from last night’s dramatic incident show that the handcuffed hostage was sitting behind a gunman believed to be a 27-year-old Dutchman, pointing a firearm at him.

An earlier clip showed the prisoner in a castle on his head with a gun aimed at his head in the store. The kidnapper could be seen brandishing his weapon as he showed customers sitting in a restaurant across the street.

Earlier today, Dutch media reported that the hostage was British, but later police confirmed that he was a 44-year-old man from Bulgaria.

The hostage managed to escape the ordeal by escaping from the shooter, who then chased him down the street before being hit by a police car on Leidseplein, a square in the center of the Dutch capital.

The incident, which began at about 5:40 p.m., lasted nearly five hours and involved dozens of hostages. Dozens of hostages left the building by 9:15 p.m., and officers announced the incident around 10 p.m.

Amsterdam police said: “We managed to stop the kidnapper by hitting him when he escaped. Cruel images of this collision can be seen.

“We now know that the suspect did not have explosives on his body and the medical staff is now taking care of him.”

This is the moment when tourists scream in excitement as a huge killer whale chases their boat across the bay California.

Tourists were enjoying fishing off the coast of the Mexican state of Sinaloa on February 20, when a killer whale appeared and chased their boat for several minutes.

The footage was shared by Beatrice Acevedo Thacna the next day Twitterwhere it has garnered more than 342,000 views and has been retweeted thousands of times.

A group of tourists had an unusual experience when a killer whale followed their boat off the coast of Sinaloa, Mexico, on February 20.

She signed the video: “The Rocks of El Pharalon near Sinaloa today, February 20.… wait for him.”

The footage shows the great killer whale jumping in and out of the water, while the boat is apparently moving away at full throttle.

Meanwhile, the men on the boat are excited to applaud every time the killer whale appears above the water.

A second video, taken from a nearby ship, also shows the whale chasing the boat.

Local media reported that killer whale sightings have become more frequent in recent years as they migrate to Mexican waters during the winter in search of a warmer environment to breed before returning to the icy waters of the North Pacific. .

Despite their scary name, killer whales are known as social animals.

They have the second heaviest brain among marine mammals and are considered extremely intelligent.

Whales usually live in matrilineal “pods” headed by the oldest female and remain close to their mothers throughout their lives.

Their social structures are among the most complex mammals, with only elephants and primates living in comparable groups.

Killer whales often show signs of battle and synchronized swimming, further evidence of the relationships that exist in pods.

MH370 Disappearance Pilot Maneuver May Prove Missing Plane Suicide

MH370 Disappearance: Pilot Maneuver May Prove Missing Plane Suicide

Zahari Ahmad Shah (pictured) was the pilot of the doomed flight

Zahari Ahmad Shah (pictured) was the pilot of the doomed flight

DID THE PILOT REFUSE HIS OWN PLANE?

Pilot Zahari Ahmad Shah planned a massacre due to personal problems by locking his co-pilot out of the cockpit, shutting down all communications, lowering the pressure in the main cockpit and then deactivating the plane so he could continue flying on autopilot until exhausted. fuel.

This was a popular theory in the weeks after the plane’s disappearance.

According to rumors in Kuala Lumpur, his personal problems include parting ways with his wife, Fiza Khan, and his outrage that a relative, opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim, was sentenced to five years in prison for sodomy shortly before boarding a flight to Beijing.

But the pilot’s wife angrily denied any personal problems, and other family members, and his friends said he was a devoted family man and loved his job.

This theory is the conclusion of the first independent study of the disaster by New Zealand-based air accident investigator Ewan Wilson.

Wilson, the founder of Kiwi Airlines and the commercial pilot himself, came to the shocking conclusion after considering “every possible alternative scenario.”

However, he is unable to provide any convincing evidence to support his theory.

The allegations were made in the book “Goodnight, Malaysian 370”, which Wilson co-wrote with New Zealand journalist Jeff Taylor.

Zachary is also said to have used a flight simulator at home to chart a route to a remote island.

However, Kuala Lumpur officials said Malaysian police and FBI technical experts had found nothing to suggest he was planning to hijack the flight after carefully examining his flight simulator.

There are also theories that the tragic disappearance may have been a heroic act of sacrifice by the pilot.

Australian aviation enthusiast Michael Gilbert believes the doomed plane caught fire during the flight, forcing the pilot to draw a course away from densely populated areas.

IF NOT THE PILOT, IS THE SECONDARY PILOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MYSTERY?

Co-pilot Fariq Abdul Hamid, 27, was again suspected of personal problems by rumors that he had overpowered the pilot and disabled the plane, leading to his death, with crew and passengers unable to pass through the locked door. the cockpit.

Theorists have suggested that he had relationship problems and that this was his dramatic way of taking his own life.

But he was engaged to marry Captain Nadira Ramley, 26, a fellow pilot from another airline, and he loved his job. There are no known reasons why he took any fatal action.

There were a series of strange theories about the plane's disappearance

There were a series of strange theories about the plane’s disappearance

Others suggest that because he is known to occasionally invite young women into the cockpit during a flight, he did so this time and something went wrong.

Young Jonty Russ said in March that she spent a full flight in 2011 on the cockpit, amused by Hamid, who was smoking.

Interest in the co-pilot was renewed when it was revealed that he was the last person to communicate from the cockpit after the communication system was interrupted.

RUSSIANS STOLE MH370 AND STOLE SLOTS TO KAZAKHSTAN

An expert claims that the missing flight 370 of Malaysia Airlines was hijacked on the orders of Vladimir Putin and landed secretly in Kazakhstan.

Jeff Wise, the American science writer who led CNN’s coverage of the Boeing 777-200E, based his incredible theory on signals that the plane emitted for seven hours after its disappearance, which were recorded by the British telecommunications company Inmarsat.

Wise believes that the hijackers “falsified” the navigation data of the plane to make it look like it was going in another direction, but took it to the Baikonur Cosmodrome, which is rented from Kazakhstan by Russia.

However, Wise admits to New York Magazine that he does not know why Vladimir Putin would like to steal a plane full of people, and that his idea is somewhat “crazy.”

Wise also noted that there were three Russians on board the flight, two of whom had Ukrainian passports.

Aviation disaster experts analyzed satellite data and found – similar to data recorded by Inmarsat – that the plane was flying hours after losing contact.

Careful examination of the evidence revealed that the MH370 made three turns after the last radio call, first a left turn, then two more, taking the plane west, then south to Antarctica.

MH370 WAS USED BY TERRORISTS FOR SUICIDE ATTACK AGAINST CHINESE Navy

This unusual statement came from 41-year-old British yachtswoman Catherine Tea from Liverpool, whose initial account of seeing a burning plane in the night sky spread around the world.

Arriving in Phuket, Thailand, after sailing the Indian Ocean from Cochin, South India with her husband, she said: “I could see the outline of the plane – it looked longer than usual. There was something that looked like black smoke from behind. ‘

Ms. Tee’s general description of the time and place was unclear, and she lost all credibility when she later said in her blog that she believed the MH370 was a kamikaze aircraft aimed at a flotilla of Chinese ships and shot down before to be able to break in the vessels.

Without solid evidence of satellite data, she wrote in her blog Saucy Sailoress, the plane she saw was flying at low altitude to the military convoy she and her husband had seen last night. She added that an internet survey showed that there was a Chinese flotilla in the area at the time.

Although the wreckage proved the plane crashed in the Indian Ocean, the location of the main underwater wreckage - and its important black box recorders - remains elusive.

Although the wreckage proved the plane crashed in the Indian Ocean, the location of the main underwater wreckage – and its important black box recorders – remains elusive.

THE PLANE LANDED ON THE WATER AND CAN BE SEEN TO FLY ON THE ANDAMAN SEA

During a flight from Jeddah to Kuala Lumpur, which crossed the Andaman Sea on March 8, Malaysian Raja Dalela, 53, saw what she said was a plane perched on the surface of the water.

She did not know about the search for MH370. She warned the flight attendant, who told her to go back to sleep.

“I was shocked to see what the tail and wing of an airplane in the water looked like,” she said.

It was only when she told her friends when she landed in Kuala Lumpur what she saw that she learned about the missing plane. She saw the object around 2.30 pm Malaysian time.

She said she was able to identify several ships and islands before spotting the silver object, which she said was an airplane.

But its story was replaced by pilots who said it would be impossible to see part of a plane in 35,000-foot or seven-mile water.

Ms. Raja submitted an official report to the police the same day and kept her story.

“I know what I saw,” she said.

THE PLANE CRIMINAL DISASTER SYSTEM AND SAID LANDING IN THE OCEAN

A catastrophic event such as a fire disrupted much of the equipment, causing pilots to turn the plane back to the Malaysian Peninsula in hopes of landing at the nearest airport.

Satellite data, plausible or not, suggests the plane has made a turn, and theorists say there will be no reason for pilots to change course unless they face an emergency.

A fire in a similar Boeing 777 aircraft parked at Cairo airport in 2011 was found to be caused by a problem with the first officer’s oxygen mask supply pipe.

Stewart Lowe, who is on trial in a series of recent air disasters, believes the plane crashed after a fire – similar to the runway on Cairo airport – broke out in the cockpit.

Following an investigation into the Cairo fire, the Egyptian Central Aviation Accident Investigation Directorate (EAAICD) published its final report, which revealed that the fire broke out near the first officer’s oxygen mask supply pipe.

The cause of the fire cannot be definitively determined, but investigators have identified a problem with the cockpit hose used to provide oxygen to the crew in the event of decompression.

Following the 2011 fire, American aircraft owners were instructed to replace the system – estimated at $ 2,596 (£ 1,573) per aircraft. It was not known whether Malaysia Airlines made the change.

If a pilot wanted to crash a plane, why turn it over? So the reversal suggests that they were trying to land as soon as possible due to an emergency.

The United States shot down the plane, fearing a terrorist attack on Diego Garcia

The Boeing 777 was shot down by the Americans, who feared the plane had been hijacked and was about to be used to attack the US military base on Diego Garcia Atoll in the Indian Ocean. This is what conspiracy theorists say.

And former French airline director Marc Dugen said he had been warned by British intelligence that he was taking risks by investigating this angle.

There is no way to check whether Dugen received such a warning or why he believes the Americans shot down the plane.

But in addition to the theory that the plane was flown to Diego Garcia, either by pilot Zachary or by a hijacker, there was a claim that the pilot’s home flight simulator was a “practicing” flight to the island.

Professor Glees said: “Americans would not be interested in doing something like this and not telling the world.

“In theory, they may want to shoot down a plane they think is attacking them, but they will not just launch missiles, but first investigate it with fighter jets and will quickly realize that even if it has to be shot down, the world will have to know.

Mr Rosenstein said: “The United States could not hide this fact and in any case, if it were true, it would acknowledge its actions, as it would prevent a successful terrorist attack and would act as a deterrent to future terrorist attacks. attacks ”.

More Americans are now being killed by WEAPONS than by car crashes

The gunshots are now the leading cause of death from injuries in the United States and are ahead of car crashes for the first time in history, according to a new report.

Surgeons at Westchester Medical Center in New York have published a study that finds more than 1.4 million years of potential life lost each year because of weapons crime.

Car crashes were the biggest cause of death, while gun deaths skyrocketed between 2009 and 2018.

The report, published in the medical journal Trauma Surgery & Acute Care Open, found that firearms deaths increased by an average of 0.72 percent each year, culminating in 38,929 deaths in 2018.

Surgeons at Westchester Medical Center in New York have published research showing that more than 1.4 million years of potential life are lost each year to gun crimes.

Conversely, road accidents have decreased by 0.07% each year during this decade.

Suicides using weapons increased from 18,735 in 2009 to an astonishing 24,432 in 2018, while homicides with firearms rose from 11,493 to 13,958.

An eye-opening study found that white men committed suicide, accounting for 49 percent of all firearms deaths, and blacks killed 18 percent of blacks, according to a report seen by The times.

That comes just seven months after the United States recorded one shooting every 12 minutes in the week of July 17 last year.

Data from the non-profit organization Archive of gun violence reveals that more than 1,000 Americans were wounded or killed in shootings in the seven days between Saturday, July 17, and Friday, July 23.

Gun violence has rocked almost every state this week, with at least one gun incident reported in 47 states and the District of Columbia, according to ABC News’ analysis of BDS data.

Illinois recorded the most shootings with 109 incidents during the week.

A 14-year-old boy was killed in a shooting Wednesday and nine others were injured in two shootings in western Chicago.

Five people were shot in the first shot in the North Lawndale section with five more shot in the second shot three blocks less than five minutes later.

Gun violence hit Windy City in 2021, with crime figures in the city showing a nine percent jump in shooting so far compared to the same time last year and a 60 percent jump in 2019..

During the weekend of July 4 alone, 92 people were shot dead and 16 killed.

After Illinois, Texas recorded the highest number of shootings this week with 63 incidents, including a car shooting in Houston that killed one person and injured five others on Thursday night.

Pennsylvania was next with 59 shootings, including a shocking incident in which a one-year-old girl was shot dead at a grocery store in Philadelphia on July 17.

Shooting deaths have risen overall since 2014, from 33,804 in the same year to almost 44,000 in 2020.

The organization’s senior editor, Corey Colleton, said only eight states had no firearms incidents at school in 2021.

Although firearms sales fell 13% from 2020, they are still 40% higher than in 2019.

SafeHome said: “On a common and population-based basis, more people are buying weapons in almost every state.”

The organization’s senior editor, Corey Colleton, said only eight states had no firearms incidents at the school in 2021.

Global Security Group chief executive Dave Katz said the fears of suburban residents living near riots last summer may have prompted them to buy weapons for the first time.

Although firearms sales fell 13% from 2020, they are still 40% higher than in 2019.

Although firearms sales fell 13% from 2020, they are still 40% higher than in 2019.

Firearms deaths are highest in the southern United States. And in 2018, more than three million registered firearms were registered in the south, with Texas and Florida having the most.

The official number of weapons in circulation is based on those purchased legally, but the actual number is thought to be much higher.

The sudden surge in gun ownership also stems from the last months of Donald Trump’s presidency, when unrest shook the country – 23 million Americans bought guns in 2020, an annual increase of 64 percent.

Researchers from Pennsylvania Hershey State College of Medicine found a 30% increase in gun injuries and deaths during the pandemic compared to 2019.

In addition, 49 of the 50 states saw a surge in gun violence with only Alaska registered a decline in the first year of the pandemic.

The research team believes that the stressors caused by the pandemic and the increase in firearms purchases have caused a surge in violence that has hit the nation.

However, there may be other factors associated with the increase in violence.

Violent crime has escalated in a number of major US cities, such as New York, Chicago and Minneapolis, since the beginning of the pandemic, with the nationwide homicide rate reaching its highest point since the mid-1990s.

Some law enforcement officials also said that the reduction in police presence after the Black Lives Matter and Defund the Police protests has led to an increase in crime.

Peloton is accused of using a chemical solution to cover

Peloton is accused of using a chemical solution to cover the rust of his exercise bikes

Peloton executives are said to have devised a plan to cover the rust and corrosion of their high-end motorcycles with a chemical solution just months after the company’s expensive treadmill pull plunged the company into crisis last year.

When employees noticed paint was peeling off some of the machines last year, the company said it had started using a chemical solution that masks corrosion on engines by “reacting with rust to form a black layer,” according to Financial Times.

In a plan called “Project Tinman”, employees hid corrosion on motorcycles that could cost more than $ 3,000 and enjoyed a huge increase in demand during the Covid pandemic before it was announced that it would send them to customers.

This came after the company’s share prices began to fall and the company saw a drop in demand for products just months after Peloton withdrew its treadmills in the United States and the United Kingdom after the death of a six-year-old child last May.

The alleged cover-up also came after Peloton, once a favorite of the pandemic, saw its shares fall sharply by 76 percent in 2021.

In December 2020, the company’s shares reached a record high of $ 151.72, after many customers decided to continue training from home due to the temporary closure of many gyms due to Covid-19.

But later, the company saw a drop in demand for its fitness classes and equipment as people began to leave their homes and re-visit gyms.

According to the latest allegations from former and current Peloton employees in four US states, employees began noticing that the paint came off some of the training bikes last September.

It is alleged that the company’s bosses decided to cover the rust with a chemical solution that forms a black layer on the corrosion, in an attempt to avoid costly seizures before sending them to customers.

A current employee told The FT: “Even for Bike-Pluss, which had rusted internally, they still supplied them.

“Sometimes the bikes had things outside, so we couldn’t deliver them, but … . [there were] many bikes that were rusty inside that were still on sale.

The alleged cover-up came after Peloton withdrew 25,000 Tread and Tread + treadmills in the United States after the death of a six-year-old child.

Last May, US Consumer Product Safety Regulators warned people with children and pets to stop using the Peloton Tread + treadmill immediately after a young child was dragged under the back of the treadmill and died.

Injuries to other children, which were also pulled under the tread +, include broken bones and cuts.

The withdrawal led to a 27 percent drop in the bike manufacturer’s shares.

Speaking at the time, former CEO John Foley said: “The decision to withdraw the two products was the right thing for Peloton members and their families.”

He also apologized for not working with the safety committee earlier and acknowledged that he had work to restore the company’s image.

A Peloton spokesman told MailOnline: “In September 2021, as part of the pre-delivery inspection process we have had since 2016, one of our inspectors at the Wesseling (Cologne) operational site in Germany noticed the appearance of flakes. from paint in the bike’s packaging, which is an accident we haven’t seen before.

“After further inspection, it was found that the residue was associated with surface rust, which appears in the inner tube of the seat frame, as well as the inner tube of the handlebar frame.

“Further investigation and rigorous tests have revealed that cosmetic oxidation in these invisible parts has affected approximately 6,000 bicycles that are already in distribution channels.

“Our internal testing, based on industry standards, has confirmed that the problem of cosmetic oxidation will not affect the productivity, quality, durability, reliability or overall experience of members.

“In addition, for the products in the inventory, we have applied a standard processing process to solve this cosmetic problem in the aforementioned invisible parts. We found no evidence or complaints from members that this particular problem was a problem.

“If we find out that this particular problem has caused a problem in any bike, we will work with the member to resolve it, including replacing the bike.”

Launched for the first time in 2012, Peloton has become a popular option in recent years for those who want to train at home.

Prices range from $ 2,107 (£ 1,550) for the Peloton Bike to $ 3,119 (£ 2,295) for the Peloton Bike +.

This month, it was revealed that Peloton was cutting 2,800 jobs in a desperate attempt to cut costs and revive the troubled exercise company.

Some Peloton employees reportedly learned that they were among the 20 percent of global staff who were fired when they found that their access to the company’s Slack channel was shut down earlier this month.

In a note, former CEO and co-founder John Foley said the fired employees would receive 12 months of free fitness classes as part of their compensation packages, according to the New York Post.

Although the benefit packages will also include extended health benefits and other undisclosed benefits, the inclusion of the free class has been repulsed by some employees.

McCarthy, 69, has experience as CFO of Spotify and Netflix

Barry McCarthy will have a big job as soon as he enters Peloton’s offices, but insiders say he may be the man to overturn the shelling company.

The new CEO, 69, was CFO at Spotify for several years and was the architect of the technology company’s innovative direct registration in 2018, before retiring a year later.

Direct listing, which McCarthy pioneered, means the company goes public without selling new shares to allow the market to set a price for itself on the first day of training.

This move is considered revolutionary on Wall Street and is seen as a more democratic and transparent listing, even if it makes things difficult for investors.

McCarthy was also CFO of Netflix and has been a board member of startup Instacart for a year.

A source told Yahoo Finance that McCarthy has extensive knowledge of subscription-based models such as Peloton.

The company expects to spend about $ 130 million in cash on compensation packages as part of the restructuring, as well as $ 80 million in non-monetary costs.

The cuts are aimed only at corporate staff and will not affect Peloton’s fitness instructors, some of whom have become quasi-celebrities with many followers.

The job loss came when Foley, the company’s co-founder who has run the company for nearly a decade, stepped down as chief executive this month to become chief executive.

Barry McCarthy, former CFO of Spotify and Netflix, will now take the helm as Peloton’s new CEO.

Outgoing CEO Foley has angered anger investor Blackwells Capital in recent months as the company struggled to maintain the staggering growth that led to its $ 52 billion estimate in early 2021. Since then, shares have fallen nearly 80 percent.

The investment firm called for its removal and even called for the company to be sold.

Jason Intaby, Blackwells’ chief investment officer, accused Foley of “repeated failures,” including hiring his wife as vice president of apparel.

“Foley has proven that he is not suitable to lead Peloton, whether as CEO or CEO, and he should not elect directors as he seems to have done (Tuesday),” Intabi said.

This month, Peloton cut its year-over-year revenue expectations after reporting a larger-than-expected quarterly loss.

“They came out this morning with lower directions, the CEO is leaving, but obviously there is still potential that we can make a deal … That’s why [the stock] it’s not going to be such a hit, “said Dennis Dick, head of market structure, a trader at Bright Trading LLC.

Peloton will halt the development of its planned plant in Ohio, where it was planned to invest about $ 400 million and create more than 2,000 jobs over the next few years.

Overall, the company said its restructuring changes would save it about $ 800 million a year in reduced costs.

In January, Peloton said it had seen a “significant drop” in demand for products that had once retailed for at least $ 1,900 and that it planned to halt bicycle production in February and March, according to a leaked confidential presentation seen by CNBC.

Trump’s longtime chief financial officer Alan Weisselberg asks judge to drop ALL charges of tax fraud against him

Trump Organization chief financial officer Alan Weisselberg on Tuesday asked a judge to dismiss allegations of tax fraud leveled against him by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, arguing that the investigation into the former president’s family business was politically motivated.

The company itself also demanded that the charges against it be dropped in the latest Southern District of New York (SDNY) criminal case against the former president. Donald Trumpthe family real estate empire.

Weisselberg’s lawyers claim it is a “concomitant damage” in the long-running prosecution of the New York Attorney’s Office against Mr. Weisselberg’s longtime boss, Donald J. Trump.

Both Weisselberg and the Trump Organization pleaded not guilty. Trump himself has repeatedly dismissed the investigation as a “witch hunt.”

The SDNY investigation, which goes hand in hand with an investigation into tax fraud in the Trump Organization by New York Attorney General Leticia James, examines whether the former president’s family business misrepresented the value of its assets and allowed certain executives to suspend taxes. compensates with unregistered benefits.

It began in 2018 under the direction of former District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. and is being continued by new District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who has already been criticized for being soft on crime as violent incidents in the Big Apple rise for about a month in his new office.

Earlier, Trump called on James and Bragg to focus more on rising crime rates in New York than on “political” investigations.

Shortly before taking office, Bragg signaled that he would take a special interest in the investigation.

“This is obviously a follow-up case that deserves DA’s attention personally,” Bragg told CNN in late December.

DailyMail.com contacted the SDNY office for comment.

Weiselberg’s lawyers say his charges in July fall outside the statute of limitations and violate his immunity granted during the federal investigation into former Trump fixer Michael Cohen, according to a 162-page document obtained from CNN.

The longtime chief financial officer has been charged with tax evasion and $ 1.7 million in tax evasion, a charge his legal team wants dropped. They also claim that the accusation of non-payment of local taxes on a luxury apartment in New York falls outside the statute of limitations of three years or more.

Launched in 2018 under the leadership of former Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr., the investigation has since been taken over by new Attorney Alvin Bragg - who is already inflamed for being too lenient on violent crime.

His ex-daughter-in-law allegedly told New York prosecutors that Trump offered to cover his children’s private school fees instead of a raise for her husband, who was also hired by Trump Org, according to a previous Daily Beast report.

Jennifer Weisselberg claims that Trump told her ex-husband Barry that he would not receive a salary increase, but that his children would receive education at Colombia’s elite grammar and training school for $ 47,540 a year.

The former president has not been charged or charged with wrongdoing in either Bragg’s or James’ investigations.

However, he faced a huge legal setback earlier this month when a judge ruled that he and two of his older children, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump, should participate in the Attorney General’s civil investigation.

James’ office is investigating whether the company is misleading creditors, investors and tax authorities about the value of Trump’s property.

In another blow, the top accounting firm Mazars USA, which has long processed the former president’s corporate and private tax returns, severed ties with the Trump Organization in early February.

Court documents show that the company has washed its hands of its decades-old financial statements of Trump, claiming that they can no longer be considered reliable.

Trump turned to James and Bragg on Sunday, accusing them of “scaring” Mazars to cut him off.

“My long-standing accounting firm did not leave me for any reason other than being harassed, abused and intimidated by DA and AG, which for years threatened them with accusation and ruin,” he told Save America PAC.

“They were ‘broken’ by these racist prosecutors on the radical left and could not stand it any longer.”

Mazars accountant Donald Bender, who has been in charge of processing the Trump Organization’s financial information for years, appeared before a grand jury convened by a former Manhattan prosecutor last year.

Mazars handed over Trump’s tax returns and other data to SDNY in February 2021 after a protracted court battle delayed the summons of investigators for about a year and a half.

With information provided by Trump Organization officials, Mazars will collect these statements, which reportedly begin with a full-page list of Trump’s various assets from homes to cash to contests he held up to their dollar value.

Estimates include consideration of comparable assets such as recent selling prices of similar real estate.

However, prosecutors are reportedly investigating whether Trump’s people rejected lower-end appraisals and sales and focused only on his most valuable assets.

A copy of its financial statements for 2012 includes a cover letter from Mazars, which concludes: “Users of this financial statement should be aware that they may come to different conclusions about the financial condition of Donald J. Trump. “

Although he did not prepare the information, Trump also said he would add his own remarks and disclaimers in addition to Mazars, including citing his estimates as “approximate.”

And while the title pages of Trump’s statements make it clear that they are his responsibility, the language introduced by Mazars’ accountants further hedges their data.

“Donald J. “Trump is responsible for preparing and presenting the financial statements fairly in accordance with the accounting principles generally accepted in the United States,” the letter said.

They also add a general disclaimer that the company has not “audited or reviewed” the data and “does not express an opinion or provide any assurance” about it.

A statement from the previous year completely misses his hotel in Chicago, along with the significant debts that Trump had at the time.
