Among the regions that offer you the opportunity to have great experiences during your snowmobile excursions, Chaudière-Appalaches is truly in a class of its own.
“Over the years, we have been able to develop an interesting snowmobile offering for enthusiasts in partnership with the region’s very dedicated snowmobile clubs,” explains Louis Chamberland of Tourisme Chaudière-Appalaches. I drive snowmobile in our region and I’m really surprised to discover new and very interesting places every winter. »
The region has a total of 2,700 kilometers of hiking trails, maintained and marked by 22 voluntary associations.
“Our region is characterized by a particularly large spider web network of paths, which makes it easy to draw loops,” explains the expert. This means that a couple or group can stay in one place and cover different routes each day of their stay.
“Our service offering is particularly important in terms of gas service, accommodation, meals and more. I believe we offer snowmobilers an area that is easy to travel and very safe. »
This region has significant snow cover with the Appalachians and peaks that can be over 900 meters high such as the Massif du Sud.
“We have great wealth at home with the wide variety of scenery available to snowmobilers. You can be on agricultural land, in the mountains or discover very impressive views of the Saint Lawrence River.
“We can also think of the mining landscapes, the attractions of Beauce with the Chaudière valley. You can circulate on territory that is always on the move with its many bumps. »

A SPECIAL DISCOVERY
Although Louis Chamberland has worked in the region for several years and often tours it by snowmobile, he always makes interesting discoveries.
“Last year I made a great discovery on a local trail towards Sainte-Louise, very close to Saint-Jean-Port-Joli and Saint-Roch-des-Aulnaies. “I spotted beautiful views of the St. Lawrence River and the Charlevoix Mountains,” adds Mr. Chamberland.
“On a clear day, the sunsets are great at the end of the day. It proves that we, too, can always experience surprises in our own region. »
Before closing the interview, the expert stressed that he likes L’Aventurier’s itinerary.
“I find this route interesting because it allows you to see all the viewpoints of Mont Saint-Magloire and Mont du Midi. It also allows snowmobilers to travel to areas that offer the best snow cover in the region. It is often one of the first to open at the start of the season. »
Enjoy your stay in Chaudiere-Appalaches. We have to hope for the last few snowfalls we’ve had all over Quebec.
I wish you a merry christmas.
