Chronopassion presents its Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Tattoo Fuoco in red

Chronopassion presents its Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Tattoo Fuoco in red gold – Montres-de-luxe.com

We no longer present the Octo Finissimo from Bvlgari. In just a few years, this watch has become an icon of contemporary watchmaking with its atypical design, the delicacy of its exceptional caliber and its case that gives the door the feeling of a “second skin”.

This year, three men: Laurent Picciotto, founder of Chronopassion in Paris, one of the most influential figures in contemporary watchmaking; Mo Coppoletta, known in London for his tattoo art, and Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, head of product development at Bulgari, took a new look at the artistic language etched into the skin and reinterpreted it on precious metal. of the Octo Finissimo.

Today, tattooing is considered a form of individual self-expression and is fully considered an art form that has its own trends and styles, from abstract to portrait, from figurative to hyper-realistic, from tribal to modern.

Tattooing is evolving rapidly. Coming from the street, he opened himself to other techniques, new styles and, above all, artists with their visual and cultural background, such as Mo Coppoletta, artistic director and designer.

Completely “tattooed” with flames, the Octo Finissimo Tattoo Fuoco in rose gold completes this tattoo trilogy based around natural elements: Aria, Aqua and Fuoco! Air, water and fire. Three natural elements that will have formed the “skin” of the Octo Finissimo in three special editions made exclusively for Chronopassion in Paris.

After Aria, dotted with clouds and stars in 2021, and Aqua, with its powerful swirls of water, in 2022, the Octo Finissimo tattoo is adorned with fire and flames in this final version that brings these three men together around the fire one last time.

While the previous two works were made of sandblasted titanium, the Fuoco creation shines with the shine of rose gold – a material with warm nuances that is close to Bulgari’s heart and which apparently evokes the heat of flames better than a piece made of titanium. !

This watch has a total thickness of just 5.15 mm thanks to the ultra-thin automatic movement (Bvl 138) with a thickness of 2.23 mm, made possible by, among other things, a platinum micro-rotor. The power reserve, suitable for weekend use, is increased to 60 hours.

The fifteen pieces in this limited series are available exclusively at Chronopassion in Paris.

Huawei, Honor and Vivo: “We recommend that you uninstall Google immediately” – Frandroid

The Google application, present on millions of devices around the world, is suddenly accused of malicious activities. Is it a simple error, a recognition error, or something more serious?

If you have owned a Huawei, Honor or Vivo phone in the last few days, you may have had a fun surprise. A notification may have appeared on your screen informing you that the Google app is malware. More specifically, it would be a “Trojan horse”, a type of virus that can cause great damage, e.g. by sending SMS messages alone, stealing your personal information, or installing other apps without you noticing.

According to the warning, the Google app sends text messages without the user’s consent, steals personal data and silently installs other apps, among other things. “We recommend that you uninstall it immediately,” the message concludes.

Huawei Honor and Vivo We recommend that you uninstall GoogleSource: Stackdiary

As far as we know, this problem appeared after the last update of the Google application. Security tools on Huawei phones and some Vivo models reacted by classifying them as dangerous. And it seems that these are not just a few isolated cases: a lot of people are talking about it in the Google forums, on Huawei and on Reddit.

False alarm, but we ask ourselves questions

Most experts say it’s probably a false alarm. Other security software hasn’t found any problem with the Google app, and it’s pretty hard to imagine that Google would let such a big virus get into one of its main apps.

However, we don’t really understand why neither Huawei, Vivo, nor Google have solved this problem yet, especially since the first reports from users who noticed the problem were several days ago. It appears that Huawei, Honor and Vivo mobile phones use the Avast virus detection engine to protect their users’ devices. However, a problem arose: the Avast engine misidentified Google applications and incorrectly marked them as Trojan horses.

While waiting for the official solution to the problem, users have found some tips to make these annoying notifications disappear. On Huawei smartphones, it would be enough to clear the data and cache of the Optimizer application and restart the phone. On a Vivo smartphone, you can try the same using the iManager app.

With its M3 processors, Apple is already switching to the third generation – Le Devoir

Apple continues to challenge Intel this fall with a third generation of its internally developed processors. The new chips, called M3, M3 Pro and M3 Max, can now be found under the hood of new MacBook Pro laptops – and behind the screen of a new iMac – and are noticeably more muscular than their predecessors.

The M3 processors are the third batch in three years of a family of chips called Apple Silicon. It started with the M1 processor, which launched in November 2020. Apple Silicon is a system on a chip that includes, in particular, the central processor and the video processor, which are found in one form or another in all Apple products.

Make room for the iMac M3

Important detail: Apple Silicon processors are based on an ARM architecture, which is different from that of PCs with Intel processors (called x86). Given the average life cycle of Apple’s PCs is five to eight years, the four new devices launching this fall are expected to replace a slew of Intel-based Macs, the latest model of which, an iMac, went on sale in June.

Unsurprisingly, the iMac will be updated with an M3 processor this fall. This all-in-one computer is the best-selling in its category. It retains the ultra-slim dimensions and choice of seven body colors of its M1 processor predecessor. However, it is about twice as fast. Above all, according to Apple, it is 2.5 times more efficient than an iMac with a 27-inch screen and an Intel processor and up to four times more powerful than a 21-inch iMac with an Intel processor.

Household in the Apple catalog

The launch of three new MacBook Pros allows Apple to clean up its catalog a little. The entry-level model is a MacBook Pro M3 with 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage, equipped with a 14-inch screen. It costs $2,099, which is $500 less than the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro chip that launched last year.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro is disappearing. Apple hopes to steer consumers who don’t need top performance to the cheaper MacBook Air.

A 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M3 Pro processor is also on the program. The other option is a 16-inch MacBook Pro, which can be powered by an M3 Pro or M3 Max processor, the latter variant being the most powerful of all. In all three cases, Apple promises 22 hours of battery life at full power, and performance that can be up to 11 times better than a MacBook Pro with a comparable Intel chip.

Performance gain

Compared to the M2 chips introduced last year, the M3 chips offer a notable performance gain. The main reasons cited are the reduced size of the new circuits from 5 to 3 nanometers and the optimized use of the cache memory of the graphics processors, which ensures an increase in performance of 25 to 50% with the same consumption energy.

These improvements allow Apple to introduce light processing hardware processes not previously available on its Macs, such as ray tracing and mesh shading. The latter returns to the graphics processors much of the visual work normally carried out by the central processor, such as the real-time generation of reflections or shading of 3D objects presented on the screen.

This leads in particular to a better representation of virtual 3D environments, such as those found in high-level video games.

This market, where Macs have been virtually absent in the past, is definitely the new frontier that Apple wants to cross with its M3 processors. A challenge considering that the IT market is currently being held back by inflation and some consumer slowdown.

Gib’Adapt, the latest research program in the gaming industry – poultry industry

What does that meanin the gaming industry today?

The game sector is represented by InterProchasse, which has 11 members, including the National Association of Game Producers, the Game Department of the National Association of Breeders, the French Poultry Association and the National Association of Hunters. In recent years, the industry has become significantly more professional for economic, technical and regulatory reasons. And the recent health crises have accelerated this professionalization, forcing the structures to reach a satisfactory level of economic competitiveness and an effective economic viability threshold in order to cope with the increase in technical levels and biosecurity that game farmers are facing become. The gaming industry has become significantly structured over the last 15 years. And this both in terms of professional organization and the further development of breeding practices to improve the quality of the game. This is how our industry became the European leader.

How does the gaming sector work? is it innovative?

As in any sector, we listen to both the expectations of society and those of our customers, who are the hunting actors in the world of hunting. Therefore, in order to respond to their implicit or explicit demands, we carry out scientific research programs to improve the adaptability and acclimatization ability of our game upon its return to the wild. The first study we conducted together with scientists dates back to 2008. It was called the ARC project (Alectoris Rufa Certified) and had a scope that went beyond our borders. The aim was to examine the quality of the strain of the red chukar partridge, an exogenous species, in relation to the level of pollution it caused when it was released into the wild in the 1980s. We began by assessing the genetic quality of red partridges in the wild and in breeding. We then worked with the Antagene laboratory on a protocol to create a new test that made it possible to determine the level of hybridization of the partridge. A revolutionary test validated in 2014 by an agreement between the National Union of Hunting Game Producers and the National Federation of Hunters.

Pigeons solve problems like artificial intelligence Slatefr Slatefr

Pigeons solve problems like artificial intelligence | Slate.fr – Slate.fr

Researchers at Ohio State University and the University of Iowa found that pigeons used a brute force method of solving problems (that is, testing all possible combinations one at a time), similar to the method used in artificial intelligence, Insider points out.

The researchers gave the birds a test. The latter had to classify lines and rings of different widths by clicking a button. If they answered correctly, they were rewarded with a treat.

Through trial and error, the pigeons gradually improved their performance, increasing from 55% to 95% correct response rate. The scientists conducted the same tests with the AI and found that it also learned to reduce the number of errors.

Are pigeons smarter than us?

The study explains that pigeons have advanced cognitive and attentional processes and can solve a wide range of categorization tasks.

According to Brandon Turner, a psychology professor at Ohio State University, these results suggest that pigeons are “incredibly efficient” natural learners. On the other hand, they do not know how to generalize information like humans do.

Conversely, people tend to abandon tasks such as those given to pigeons if they cannot find rules to understand these tasks.

“Pigeons don’t try to make rules,” Turner notes. They simply harness the raw power of trial and error and associative learning. This allows them to perform better than humans on certain types of tasks.”

Discover this helmet that helps nurses – TVA Nouvelles

In Quebec, about a hundred nurses take their first steps in the health network every year.

To better train and sometimes even reassure them, the CIUSSS de l’Ouest de l’île de Montréal relies on a mixed reality headset that allows more experienced staff to help them remotely.

At the LaSalle intensive care unit in Montreal, newly hired young nurses can quickly learn new techniques thanks to a mixed virtual headset.

The department head or his assistant remains available at almost any time and guides you through the headset as if they were at your side. You see everything the nursing staff does during procedures and can give them advice on what to do.

“At home, I can connect through my Teams application to help them carry out the treatment technique,” says Éric Labonté, head of the intensive care unit at Lasalle Hospital. “In the last few months we have had a major recruitment problem. We have had to hire many nurses with little or no experience, so I can support their work.”

The project began in early August at LaSalle Hospital. Since then, around twenty nurses have used the headset.

“No one was trained to create a venous line in the evening, so we often had to wait until daylight to treat the patient,” explains Sabrina Marzeughi, a clinical nurse at LaSalle Hospital. “The headset ensures that patients don’t have to wait.”

Patients and their families welcome this new tool.

“I think technology is good, the more there is the better,” says Lucette Lemelin while visiting a patient.

The device is manufactured by Microsoft and it is the responsibility of Auger Groupe Conseil to install “the solutions it contains” and “make them easy to use for nursing staff,” says Hugo Lafontaine, vice president of the department. Auger Consulting Group.

The Jewish General Hospital and Lakeshore General Hospital are also participating in the Trois-Rivières pilot project, which aims to demonstrate its effectiveness in training nurses more quickly and efficiently across all hospital centers.
