Bec’s recipe calls for 1/4 brown onion, 4 ounces 5% ground beef, American mustard, a slice of smoked cheese, 1 ounce pickles, lettuce and tomatoes.

To make the homemade In-N-Out sauce, Bec used 30g light whole egg mayonnaise, 15g sugar-free tomato sauce, 5g American mustard, and 5g cucumber relish.

Bec first put her brown onion in a pan, caramelized it, and formed little balls out of the ground beef.

She then flattened the beef meatballs in the pan and flipped them until browned before adding a tablespoon of mustard sauce to the patty.

“One pro tip is to toast your buns in the same pan as your meat,” Bec said.

The American cheese then went on top of each patty and Bec added the caramelized onions to the beef before stacking the other patty on top.

Bec simply mixes all the sauce ingredients together in a bowl and spreads a thick layer on the buns.

The pickles, tomato, and lettuce go on the bun before the beef patties are poured on top with a light drizzle of extra sauce.

“It’s only 480 calories and 36 grams of protein,” Bec said.

Instagram foodie “Isaac Eats A Lot” was the first person in line to receive his burger and bought chips and a large hamburger.

Foodfluencer “Big City Mick” snapped a video of the long lines outside the East Village before joining in for a taster himself.

“After a short line with other hungry foodies, I stood at the counter and got the $20 double-double, chips, a Coke and a T-shirt,” he said.

“Good taste and overall a nice burger that I would 100 percent smash again, minus the pickles.

“Nice job bringing an American burger franchise to our Sydney scene at a moderate pace.”
