The musical is expected to premiere at the St-Denis Theater in May Tootsie will finally hit theaters in December.
“The decision to postpone this block of performances was made at the request of the broadcaster, which must close its theater for four weeks this spring to complete the assessment of the major refurbishment work it intends to undertake in the coming years. ” Entourage Group announced in a press release.
Ticket holders will be contacted shortly by the Espace St-Denis team who will inform them of any date changes and the procedures to follow.
From the screen to the stage
In this scenic and musical adaptation of the classic film “Tootsie,” a comedian finds that his notorious bad temper is preventing him from getting work. In desperation, he creates a female alter ego to finally get a role in a Broadway musical. But when this dual identity allows him to enjoy success and fame, it quickly becomes the source of many crazy misunderstandings.
Directed by Alexis Pitkevicht, the show will count on the talents of José Dufour to bring to life the famous character once played on the big screen by Dustin Hoffman.
- Tootsie will play at the Théâtre St-Denis in Montreal starting December 5th. The show will then take place in August 2025 at the Salle Albert-Rousseau in Quebec.
