(CNN) – At least now we can finally say that Travis Kelce has had a few dates with Taylor Swift.
On the latest episode of his “New Heights” podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce, they of course talked about Swift and Travis Kelce’s weekend in New York.
Jason Kelce asked his brother what was being said about a video circulating online showing Travis and a member of Swift’s security team getting out of a vehicle.
“I didn’t push him. “I put my hand on the gentleman’s back to let him know I had his back,” Travis Kelce said. “If I had pushed him, he probably would have turned around and shocked me with his stun gun.”
He and Swift appeared separately on “Saturday Night Live (SNL)” and then walked around town holding hands.
Travis Kelce called Swift’s security team “excellent.” His brother asked him if he felt the need to implement his own security protocols to protect Swift.
“Every time I go on a date, I feel like I’m ‘the man in the situation.’ I’m definitely protective,” Travis Kelce said. “I guess you always have that feeling or that confidence.”
The emphasis is on the part where it says “on a date”.
Travis hosted an episode of “Saturday Night Live” in March, and on Wednesday’s podcast episode he spoke with Jason Kelce about his last appearance on the show, which was a surprise.
Travis Kelce appeared briefly in a skit about how the NFL made a big deal out of his romance with Swift. During her performance, Swift introduced her friend and collaborator Ice Spice.
“It was fun meeting everyone at ‘SNL,'” Travis Kelce said. “I miss these guys. Boys and girls, I would say.”
