Two-time Gold Logie winner Hamish Blake has revealed which celebrity he’s betting on to win the top prize at next weekend’s TV Week Logie Awards.
The 41-year-old Lego Masters presenter, who is also nominated in the Gold Logie category this year, said he was glad not to win for the third time and instead wanted his friend Leigh Sales to win at 7:30 for her work.
“I have a feeling this time around I’m going to be the one who’s going to hand it over, which I’m happy to do.” “I’m going to vote for Leigh Sales — I think we all will,” he told the Herald Sun on Sunday.
“Leigh and I were bonded through our love for Survivor and I think she would be delighted to see that alliance voted.”
Both are nominees for the coveted Most Popular Personality on Australian Television award, Blake for his work on Lego Masters and Sales for hosting the ABC news program 7:30, which she retired from last year.

Sales, 50, also spoke to the Herald Sun and said she found it ironic that she was nominated for Australia’s most coveted television awards after stepping down from 7:30 to pursue other ventures.
“It feels kind of surreal and it’s not lost on me that I currently have the least airtime on TV.” “The less the Australian public sees me, the more popular I become,” she joked.

The awards ceremony has been held on the Gold Coast since 2018 with the support of the Queensland Government, but that contract ended in 2022.
The ceremony will be broadcast on Channel Seven on July 30.
