Didier Lucien portrays a man whose universe collapses Untenable when his partner, with whom his relationship is particularly strained, is found dead in the family garage. Did she end her life or was she killed? If so, through your spouse or someone else?
We'll find out in the next episodes of TVA's Justice Newspaper.
“Didier Lucien, who mentions that he is in great shape,” loved starring in “Indefensible” with his daughter Lula Brouillette-Lucien, 28. Lula, whose mother is actress Isabelle Brouillette, is graduating with her acting degree in 2024, so this shoot was a perfect opportunity for her to gain experience on an important set. It was the actor who suggested to his agent that Lulu could give him the answer in the plot.

“She auditioned and managed to “win” the role of my daughter! It’s a powerful result for her, a beautiful gift.”
“It was great, it was the first time we played together,” added Didier Lucien. It makes us want to play together again. We get along very well, we have affinities and we have the same references because we listen to the same films. So it’s easy to work together, it makes you happy.”

At first, Lula, who starred in “Catherine” when she was very small, didn’t try to become an actress like her famous parents, “but it didn’t work,” Didier Lucien said with a laugh. “She already knew it was a fun job and she had the opportunity to work in many other places, but she didn’t like it.”
Inspired by a true story
In “Indefensible” Didier Lucien portrays… Didier Roy, a man who will come into conflict with the law, especially since the death of his partner could be linked to his double life. The latter, Delphine (Lily Thibeault), did not accept her husband's other relationship and their relationships became increasingly bitter. Now that she's dead, the police are looking for someone to blame, and he seems like the perfect man to take the blame.

This role in “Indefensible,” which is based on a true story, was offered to Didier Lucien on a silver platter. “It's great to be able to play that, to go to the extreme. My character is a poor man with many secrets and mysteries. He's suspected of murder and we don't have much information. What I like is the possibility of being able to “travel” thanks to different characters like this one.”
Didier says that he is often asked to play comedic characters, but that he likes dramatic plots.

“It's not necessarily my choice to do comedy a lot, it's what I'm usually presented with on TV.” In the theater I do dramas more often. If you could look at my film collection, you would see that almost all of them are dramas that I have,” confessed the actor, emphasizing, “often I portray foreigners, men who have no family, while in ” Indefensible “have a house and loved ones.” . And having to deal with such arguments and defend such strong emotions is something completely new for me on television.
