The Ventura County Fire Department confirmed to that an ambulance responded to an 911 call at the Glen Tavern Inn at 6:30 p.m. and that a patient was taken to Santa Paula Hospital. Santa Paula Police Chief Don Aguilar confirmed to THR that the patient was Osbourne.

THR has reached out to Osbourne’s team for comment. Nothing is known about her current state of health.

TMZ reported that the star was staying at the Glen Tavern Inn for a TV shoot.

Osbourne, 70, is a TV personality and music executive who shares three children with rocker Ozzy Osbourne, her husband of 40.

She announced in November 2012 that she had undergone a double mastectomy due to her predisposed risk of breast cancer. Osbourne underwent surgery for colon cancer in 2002 and her health journey was featured on the unscripted MTV family series The Osbournes.

Osbourne left the CBS series The Talk in March 2021 after 11 seasons as a panelist following an on-air debate about racism and multiple allegations of racist comments.

In May, Osbourne’s daughter Aimee, 39, was among those who escaped a fire at a Hollywood recording studio that killed a 26-year-old music producer.

The Cubs are “very close” to a deal with shortstop. Dansby Swansonand are expected to close the deal shortly, reports NBC Sports Chicago’s David Kaplan (via twitter). The deal is a seven-year, $177 million deal that includes a full no-trade clause, according to Bally Sports’ Russell Dorsey (Twitter link). Swanson is represented by Excel Sports Management.

Rumors have been circulating since the summer that the Cubs were planning to sign one of the “big four” shortstops of the 2022-23 offseason — Swanson, Carlos Correa, Trea Turner or Xander Bogaerts. Some reports even suggested that Chicago could sign two of the shortstops to move a player to another position (much like Rangers inked both Corey Seager and Marcus Semien last winter). Initial reports indicated that Correa and Bogaerts were the Cubs’ top options in the group, but during the winter meetings Swanson emerged as “perhaps their most realistic shortstop target,” in the words of The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal.

As it turned out, all of the big four shortstops changed teams, with Swanson being the last to receive his next contract. Turner signed with the Phillies, Bogaerts with the Padres, Correa with the Giants, and now Swanson will travel to Wrigleyville to join the third other organization of his pro career. Swanson’s Arizona was drafted first overall by the Diamondbacks in 2015 and was limited to 22 A-ball games because it was traded to the Braves in a blockbuster five-man trade in the offseason.

The trade became notorious for Arizona fans, as Shelby Miller (the main play who went to the D’Backs) immediately struggled with his new team, while Georgia-born Swanson thrived with his hometown Braves. Success wasn’t instant for Swanson, who only hit .243/.314/.369 in his first major league appearances in 2016-18. However, he gradually became more prolific at the plate, culminating in a 2022 season in which he hit .277/.329/.447 with 25 homers over 696 PA, which equates to a 116 wRC+.

Swanson also hit 27 homers in 2021 and brought solid power from the shortstop position. It could be that Swanson is still entering his prime as a hitter at the start of his season at 29, making him an even more intriguing addition as an all-around player. Swanson is also an excellent baserunner and has a very strong defensive résumé that includes a gold glove last season. The Outs Above Average metric puts Swanson at +38 overall over the past five seasons, and while his Defensive Runs Saved (+18) and UZR/150 (+0.4) numbers are a bit more inconsistent, Swanson is certainly above average outfielder in one key position of defense.
