Who is Kemi Badenoch critic of identitarianism appointed UK Secretary

Who is Kemi Badenoch, critic of identitarianism, appointed UK Secretary of State for Women and Equality?

For the second time in her political career, Kemi Badenoch is taking charge of the Department for Equality (now merged with the Women’s Department), amid criticism from the LGBT+ public. She was appointed by the new UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Tuesday (25th).

Speaking in Parliament, Badenoch responded to Pink News CEO Ben Cohen calling her “antitransgender”.

“What I wanted to say as we begin a new era of equality is that the Equality Act is a shield, not a sword. It exists to protect people of all stripes, young or old, male or female, black. or white, gay or straight,” Badenoch explained.

She also stressed that she is implementing “a compassionate equality strategy” and that she should not be distracted by “people using Twitter to insult or accuse MPs”.

The activist magazine accuses Badenoch of working to close Britain’s children’s sex reassignment clinic, Tavistock, and having an intense dialogue with Keira Bell. The young woman, who regretted her gender change at the age of 16, switched to her birth sex and sued the British clinic.

The UK’s National Health Service (NHS) plans to ban surgery and hormone treatments for those under the age of 18 and issue new guidelines for doctors, in addition to closing Tavistock.

Pink News cites Badenoch as one of the key articulators of these changes alongside the LGB Alliance, a UK charity whose stated aim is to defend gay, lesbian and bisexual rights but is viewed by campaigners as transphobic.

The minister has also been criticized in other matters. In a speech that received widespread internet coverage, Badenoch questioned some antiracist movements. “The ideology that sees my blackness as victimization and their whiteness as oppression is against the law,” he said.

On the climate agenda, she has repeatedly stressed that she believes in reducing carbon emissions, “but not to the point of bankrupting the UK to meet that target”.

nightmare of work

Minister Olukemi Olufunto Adegoke, born to a Nigerian family, has been called “the Labor Party’s worst nightmare”. Badenoch joined the Conservative Party in 2005 at the age of 25 and is now described by The Guardian as “a rising star” for the Conservatives.

The daughter of doctors from Nigeria, she lived in the African country until she was 16, then crossed the United States before coming to the UK. Before she went to college, she made sandwiches at fast food joints.

Married, mother of three and an engineer by training, Kemi Badenoch held various positions in the Conservative Party before being elected MP by Saffron Walden in the east of the country in 2017.

She was Minister of State in the Department for Leveling, Housing and Communities and the Equality portfolio (where she was Secretary of State) from September 2021 to July this year. She left the executive branch that month to run to succeed Prime Minister Boris Johnson but failed to reach the final round of the Conservative Party contest.

She then took over as Secretary of State for International Trade and Chair of the Trade Committee on September 6 under the lightningfast government of Liz Truss, until this week when she was appointed to the Department for Women and Equality.

Memo Remigi touches Jessica Morlacchi live: Suspended from ‘Today is another day’. He: “I had no lustful intentions.” Bortone furiosa: “Insufferable”

It ended as expected: Memo Remigi was suspended from it Today is another day. It all started last Friday, some very observant viewers wrote this tweet (correlated with a 20 second video): “Memo Remigi touches Jessica Morlacchi’s bottom… But everything is normal. shame“. The video referred to the launch Serena Borton does a half-minute segment daily in which he announces the guests and greets the “stable affections” of which they are among the permanent cast Romina Carrisi and Massimo Cannoletta and indeed Remigi and Morlacchi. But what is in this video and what prompted Rai to make the drastic decision to suspend the singer?

MEMO REMIGI AND MORLACCHI “PALPATINA”

In the foreground, in the offending video, Serena Bortone talks about the upcoming oath of Giorgia Meloni, first female Prime Minister, and in the background we see the “Stable Affections”. “Direction in the foreground Frame Remigi and Jessica Morlacchithen off to Serena Bortone, but you can clearly see behind them the 83-year-old singer’s hand rests on Morlacch’s sidedas. hand going down until you reach side b with a visible palpation on live tv. The leader of Gazosa does not like this and slaps the singer on the hand and, to avoid groping again, brings him to the side again and holds him, ”reports Dagospia. The var is clear, so this morning the website of Roberto D’Agostino gave news of the noise generated in Rai by the episode of the “dead hand”, reported last night by Strip off the news.

RAI’S REACTION AND BORTONE’S HARD POSITION

While Striscia joked about it Remigi’s “Hormone Storm”in Rai the case rose and Dagospia speaks of “a little earthquake behind the scenes of the show“Adding that an angry Morlacchi” would have received the immediate solidarity of executives and managers. The working group led by Bortone intervened immediately, with great regret at what happened. And so the host couldn’t pretend nothing happened and opened up tonight’s episode, Thursday 27 Octoberhe has confirmed Remigi’s suspension, which has become one of the cornerstones of Rai1’s afternoon talk for two seasons. “As you may have noticed, Memo Remigi is no longer part of our working group as of Monday. Remigi made himself at this study responsible for behavior that cannot be tolerated: in this program, in this company and, in my opinion, nowhere,” Bortone underscored. He then explained why he only spoke about it today: “Out of respect for the person concerned, we had kept silent, but now that the episode has become public, I feel a sincerity obligation to you to publicly express my solidarity with Jessica. My solidarity, that of the manager, the solidarity of the company and my deepest regrets. I’ll stop here for now.”

THE REMIGI MEMO VERSION

In this “I’m stopping here for now” is all, or at least much, of what could happen over the next few days, as the case is destined to rise with an inevitable avalanche effect. Meanwhile, Memo Remigi was contacted by fan page Before the start of tonight’s episode, he said he was unaware of the suspension and is giving his version of the facts. desmearing the “slap” on the b-side of the Morlacchi as an “involuntary gesture”. “There’s nothing to explain, we’ve always had a Goliardian atmosphere between us, between stable affections, we joke and crack jokes,” he says. He then explains that the gesture was due to an attempt (clumsy, let’s be honest) to fix the microphone. “I put my hand behind him why this mic went down and i jokingly gave him the pack on his buttAnd. But let’s not go into details, I’m just saying that I didn’t intend to be an impulsive man, I’m my age and I’ve never been that kind of person, “clarifies the singer. Who reveals that he apologized to Morlacchi defines them “victim of this situation“I had no intention of taking her to the level of vulgarity and violence against her. It was a Goliardian thing, they pat each other on the back and sometimes even their butts. If we look at what’s really im Happening on TV, it doesn’t seem to me that this big scandal “was”. And Morlacchi? For now he is silent. Or rather, he speaks on social media with a cryptic post on Instagram: “We cannot escape what fate wants for us… it’s life that decides… there’s no point in committing to rowing against it or to force positively. Everything will happen at the right time and what will be will be”.

Mom Says Reporter Died Holding Hands With Daughter

Mom Says Reporter Died Holding Hands With Daughter

After Susana Naspoli, who died of pelvic cancer, her mother Dona Maria said the journalist died holding hands with her 16yearold daughter Julia.

“She was very stunned, very excited. Lost because she was walking her mum to bed. She was lying next to her mum in the hospital and she stayed there until her mum died, holding hands. And she was really disoriented. And I started, very worried to see her like that. There are people who don’t believe in miracles, but I do. It was Susana’s miracle. When she saw that her mother had died, she said, “Yes, guys, let’s do that solve the problems now ” She has a lot of confidence and so do I. Susana gave her this example. And I think she will be well supported by that belief and will be good in her path in life. Because this was Susana’s legacy for her and she is very willing to follow it,” he told Quem.

She also said that the young woman, who lost her father at the age of 8, will have all the support of her family and that she is not alone: ”Julinha has an understanding that goes beyond her age. We were also very open with our family, especially my family is very close to them. She never lost touch with Criciúma, with Santa Catarina. The two went there at every opportunity. I insist on her very much: ‘Julia, you lost your mother, your father, but we are all family. Always count on it. You lost two people you love very much, you are suffering, but we are your family. And you don’t worry about that, we will be your family”.

burial

The funeral service for reporter Susana Naspolini, who died of cancer on Tuesday, will be held this morning at the São João Batista Cemetery Church in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro.

The funeral service is public. The family urged the journalist’s fans not to film the coffin. The information has been confirmed syringes from the press office of TV Globo.

Julia, Susana’s daughter, invited her mother’s fans to the ceremony. “I come to invite you to say goodbye to Mama. She was always very happy to see everyone’s affection,” he wrote in a post on Instagram.

“Anyone who could go would be most welcome. I’m sure she would love it.”

Susana had been hospitalized in São Paulo for more than a week. The journalist was diagnosed with metastatic cancer in the hip bone.

In September, she spent eight days in Rio de Janeiro because of an infection and weak immunity.

Last week, Julia also posted a video on her mother’s profile, explaining the situation, which doctors considered very serious.

“She had hip bone metastases that had spread to the bone marrow since July. So she came in with stronger chemotherapy that caused her to lose her hair. But the metastases spread to several other organs, including the liver. The liver is very compromised. [o médico] said they didn’t know what else to do, they didn’t know if there was anything left to do and that her condition was very serious. I don’t know what to do,” the teenager said at the time.

Start in journalism

Susana Naspolini was born on December 20, 1972 in Criciúma, Santa Catarina. In 1991, at the age of 18, he was first confronted with cancer. At the time, she was studying journalism at the Federal University of Santa Catarina and had just started a theater course at Tablado in Rio de Janeiro to pursue her dream of working as an actress.

However, he had to abandon his studies after discovering a lymphoma. She underwent 12 chemotherapy sessions in São Paulo and lost her hair during the treatment.

At 19, Susana was hired by SBT in Florianópolis and worked there until she graduated. She then moved to RBS, Globo’s subsidiary in the south of the country, where she worked for two years as editorinchief and presenter of the local news programme.

He also had a brief stint at TV Vanguarda, a subsidiary of TV Globo in São José dos Campos, in the interior of São Paulo.

Success at Globo with RJ Mobile

In 2001 she met her husband Maurício Torres. In 2002, he, who worked at Esporte da Globo in Rio, nominated Susana for a temporary reporter position at GloboNews.

After two years as a reporter, he joined Canal Futura. He also worked in the production of Editoria Rio on TV Globo and in the reporting team of the television news programs Bom Dia Rio and RJTV. In 2008, in a rotating system with other reporters, he began presenting “RJ Móvel”, part of “RJ1”, the painting that would change his career. From 2013, she became the main moderator of the board.

In the attraction, residents of the capital Rio de Janeiro reported problems such as stopped work, deserted squares or potholed streets to the station. As a result, Susana took action and called a city or state government agency to provide live clarification and set a deadline for the issue to be resolved. The date was marked on a large calendar by the reporter. On the scheduled day, Susana returned to the site to collect the promised solution.

The journalist did all this with a lot of humor, trying to feel the evils of the population on her skin. He climbed walls and trees, entered holes, rode his bike over bumpy paths, and played with poorly maintained toys.

It was common to see her with costumes and props to illustrate the issue. He once disguised himself as an alligator to demand the renovation of a bridge in the Recreio dos Bandeirantes. On another occasion, he performed a “rain dance” to protest the lack of water in Nova Iguaçu. To celebrate the restoration of a seat in Bangu, she simulated an Oscars ceremony wearing a long dress, ice skating and sliding down the slide.

The villagers tell me the dramas and we create the situations together. It’s my duty to know what’s doable live and what’s not. If they can’t ride a bike, I have to show them. If the resident puts a plastic bag on his foot to go through the sewer, I put it in too. Susana Naspolini to UOL, in 2019

“I don’t create or enlarge. The reporter is a human being like anyone else who fulfills the duty of showing a problem. This is my fight,” he said in an interview with UOL in 2019.

The popular response was warm: Susana made live performances, drank coffee, ate barbecues, and sometimes even received gifts from the characters in her articles.

The relaxed manner led the journalist to the stands in Sapucaí during the carnival to report on the population’s reaction to the parades. In 2017 she also began presenting Globo Comunidade, which aired on Sunday mornings and featured articles produced by local newsrooms in Rio de Janeiro.

fights against cancer

After first confronting cancer in 1991, Susana returned nineteen years later, in 2010, at the age of 37 to battle the disease. She discovered a micro nodule in her breast, breast cancer, and after undergoing radiation therapy, she underwent a total mastectomy in her right breast. During treatment he also discovered a thyroid tumor.

In 2016, she was again confronted with breast cancer and spent about six months without television. At the end of the year he returned to command “RJ Móvel”, with rights to a party of flowers and cakes in the streets of Campo Grande, west of Rio, in addition to tributes from colleagues and spectators.

In 2020, Susana was diagnosed with pelvic cancer. Striving to update her followers about the treatment with a big smile, the journalist said she was comforted by the reactions of the people who followed her.

“I think life makes more sense when we share the happiest stories with the most difficult ones. When I found out about the diagnosis and took to Instagram to share it, I received so much affection that it gave me an injection of spirit. It makes a big difference in my state of mind. The stories encourage you to improve,” he said in an interview with Universa in April this year.

By July 2022, the disease had spread to the bone marrow and required heavier venous chemotherapy. The following month, she released a video of herself shaving her hair with the help of her daughter.

In September, Susana spent eight days in hospital treating an infection and weak immunity. She celebrated the release with a post alongside healthcare professionals on social media.

In October, Julia, the journalist’s daughter, reported that the metastases had spread to several other organs, damaging the liver and leaving the journalist in a very serious condition.

She runs media group JKN Global and is known in her country for hosting the Thai version of Project Runway, a fashion reality show.

The US puts forward a plan to update its nuclear weapons in Europe in the face of the Russian threat

New American nuclear bombs, due to arrive in Europe next year, will actually arrive this year amid fears Putin could use one of his own nuclear weapons over Ukraine.

B61-12 air-dropped gravity bombs, an updated version of America’s main nuclear bomb, will be delivered to European allies this December rather than spring of 2023, according to a diplomatic cable seen by Politico.

The new bomb, which is said to be more accurate than its predecessor, will be distributed at storage sites across the continent, with older versions being removed.

The move comes amid nuclear saber-rattling by Putin, who has repeatedly threatened to use Russia’s nuclear arsenal against the West over the war in Ukraine.

American-made B-61-12 nuclear bombs (pictured being dropped during a training exercise) scheduled to arrive in Europe next spring will actually arrive this December, it has been announced

The new shipment was discussed at a meeting of NATO defense ministers in Europe two weeks ago, the Pentagon and State Department were told in a cable that was then leaked to journalists.

Alongside discussing bombs, the cable reveals that NATO allies are concerned about the possibility of Putin going nuclear and want to form a united front against him.

It said: “Faced with the increasing volume and scope of Russia’s nuclear rhetoric, a subgroup of allies requested continued consultations with NATO to ensure continued preparedness and consistent messages.”

The cable adds that 15 allies were concerned that NATO “must not give in to Putin’s nuclear blackmail.”

Politico said the telegram’s contents had been confirmed by two sources, but Brigadier General Patrick Ryder — Pentagon spokesman — denied the schedule had been rushed.

The modernization of the B-61 bombs has been underway for a long time, the general said, and “it is unrelated to current events in Ukraine and has not been accelerated in any way.”

Putin yesterday conducted Russia’s annual nuclear test exercises – dubbed “Grom” or “Thunder” – which included the launch of long-range missiles (pictured).

Only three NATO allies – the US, Britain and France – possess nuclear weapons, but the warheads and weapons that deploy them are scattered across the alliance.

The Alliance maintains primarily strategic nuclear weapons – doomsday devices designed to wipe out entire cities or countries – as a deterrent to attack.

However, NATO also has a smaller stockpile of so-called “tactical” nuclear weapons, intended to be used for tactical advantage in combat.

Russia, meanwhile, claims to have the world’s largest nuclear arsenal of 6,500 warheads, containing a mix of strategic and tactical.

Just yesterday, Putin oversaw a huge nuclear exercise — “Grom” or “Thunder” — that included the test launch of weapons, including the Yars intercontinental ballistic missile designed to carry some of its largest warheads.

The Russian nuclear submarine fleet, carrying sorting missiles and nuclear bombers, also took part in the exercises.

Russian state propagandists said the drills were a rehearsal for the destruction of Britain and the US, but stressed that would only happen if Russia were attacked first.

Putin has repeatedly threatened the West with Russia’s nuclear arsenal over the war in Ukraine and has vowed that he is “not bluffing” by using the weapons.

NATO is also conducting nuclear exercises – dubbed Steadfast Noon – with fighter jets, bombers and refueling planes flying over Britain, Belgium and the North Sea.

The exercise began last week and is scheduled to last through Sunday, in which 14 of NATO’s 30 member states are participating.

Around 60 aircraft, including fighter jets capable of carrying nuclear warheads, joined the exercise, while surveillance and refueling aircraft conducted training flights.

US long-range B-52 bombers also took part, having flown in from Minot Air Base in North Dakota.

NATO has decided to press ahead with the exercise despite the war in Ukraine, and the coalition’s chief Jens Stoltenberg said it would send a “very wrong signal” to Putin if they backed down.

The Russian despot has repeatedly threatened the West with its own nuclear arsenal because of the Ukraine war, which its troops are slowly losing.

In his recent nuclear rant, he falsely accused NATO of attacking Russia and said anyone who threatened him with nuclear weapons could become a target themselves.

“I don’t bluff,” he added.
