Henry Cavill previously announced that he was taking tests on interpreting James Bond during the selection process for the film 007: Casino Royale. Well, the director of the 2006 film, Martin CampbellHe shared his point of view. In an interview with the Express, he praised Cavill’s “great performance” but pointed out that the actor’s age at the time was ultimately a barrier to the role.
“He looked great in the audition, his acting was great,” Campbell said, going on to say that Henry had a chance, if any, of being cast Daniel Craig I didn’t do the tests either. “If it weren’t for Daniel, Henry would be a great Bond. He was great looking, he was in great physical shape… very handsome and chiseled. He looked a little young then.”
The upcoming third season of The Witcher will be Cavill’s last as a lead actor. It is replaced by Liam Hemsworthwho has already signed for two seasons.
The first part of The Witcher season 3 appears in June 29 on Netflix.
