10 Christmas Songs People Love to Hate – TVA Nouvelles

Christmas music certainly has a polarizing side. Some people listen to it 12 months a year, while others can't stand it for more than a few seconds of listening.

Among those who like or at least tolerate this type of music, there are still some songs that evoke despair, disgust or even anger.

Sometimes it's about the musical arrangements, while at others it's the lyrics that are irritating. After all, in many cases it is simply the fact that we have heard the song too many times that causes us to no longer be able to stand it.

With that in mind, CNN culture journalist AJ Willingham decided to compile a list of Christmas songs that people love to hate.

Here are the selected works:

“Wonderful Christmastime,” Paul McCartney (1979)

“Do You Know It’s Christmas,” Band Aid (1984)

“Baby, It's Cold Outside,” written by Frank Loesser in 1944

“The Chipmunk Song,” Alvin and the Chipmunks (1958)
