The first weekend of the Festival d’été was all about Dave Grohl’s wonderful rock lesson. For almost two hours, the headliner of the Foo Fighters celebrated the band’s repertoire with extreme intensity.

The princess of indie pop was crowned Princess of the Plains of Abraham during this concert, which didn’t live up to the site’s usual standards but delighted thousands of fanatics.

The dashing cowboys. July 13th. Plains of Abraham
The first attempt failed because of the weather. It was still a beautiful, heartbreaking moment as the Cowboys attempted to sing “On My Shoulder” a cappella before being stopped by a recorded message.

The kites are finally dry

The reunion, four years after a concert that was interrupted by a thunderstorm after just two songs, lived up to expectations. It was even necessary to close the gates of the Plains since the crowds were so important.

The prince who became king
Souldia. July 9th. Francophonie Park
After more than 20 years of hard work, Souldia finally managed to make his voice heard at the summer festival. An intense performance in which we felt the rapper from Limoilou particularly emotionally.

Roxanne Bruneau. 7th of July. Francophonie Park
Adored by Quebecers, the singer managed to make her audience cry with her music, but also made them cry with laughter between each song. When is the first comedy show?

Quebec Redneck Bluegrass Project. 15th of July. Francophonie Park
The Joual, the snowmobile, the beer; The Quebec Redneck Bluegrass Project’s show was like Christmas in a small village in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean. What can we say about her performance, which was a real gift for festival-goers?

Dominique Fils-Aime. 16th of July. Francophonie Park
So sweet and so dynamic on stage, the Montreal singer was just gorgeous. Everything from his voice to the melodies to the visuals was brought together for a great performance.
