“I’m a person who would rather not score 2,000 points, I’d rather get the championship,” said Jackson-Davis. “If I don’t have to score that many goals and we play really well, then we’ll do it. I’m a selfless player, I’m a team player, but I’ll do what my coach wants me to do.
“…I’m more interested in winning the Big Ten than trying to chase records. If we play right I think the records will come and I can still get them.
“But to achieve these things is enormous. There’s only four or five players that have scored 2,000 points and then one or two players that have had a thousand rebounds… it’s crazy to even be mentioned in that category, it’s huge.”

“I think the greatest thing for me, of course, is a player who works super hard on and off the pitch, leads by example and sets high standards,” Jackson-Davis said. “And it was difficult for us because we didn’t have much success in the winning column.
“But I have a feeling it’s going to be huge for us now with this team. We finally have talent and there are actual expectations of what we can do.
“Well, I’m just trying to win a championship, be it the Big Ten or the national,
“…I feel like we’re a top three team at the moment and so I love having expectations and being under pressure with this situation because we’ve never had that in the past.”

“If Indiana basketball is good, college basketball is good, I say that,” Jackson-Davis said. “So I think next year we have a chance to be really, really good.”
