Tammy Slaton, known for appearing on the TLC show 1000-Lb. Sisters said she feels “great” and “grateful” after undergoing weight-loss surgery.

The 36-year-old personality, who was recently praised for looking “healthy,” spoke to People about her recent progress.

She remarked, “I’m doing great!” I’m grateful to be alive and enjoying making as much progress as I have.”

Following last year’s bariatric surgery, she told the publication she “got wiser” after a near-death experience.

Before her life-saving surgery, she had to be put on a ventilator and placed in a medically-induced coma when family members said she had stopped breathing.

Tammy shared another update with the outlet, explaining, “I was able to make my lungs strong enough to get my windpipe.” [tracheostomy tube for breathing] off, and then the doctor recently allowed me to turn off my oxygen during the day.”

She added, “Now I only wear my oxygen device at night, along with my BiPap device.”

“I monitor my oxygen levels throughout the day and have my device ready in case I need it.”

In a new TikTok upload, Slaton revealed how she’s lost an incredible 300 pounds.

In the video, she wore a pink t-shirt, glasses and her red hair was curly.

Carbon monoxide poisoning was one of the reasons Tammy decided to change her life after being on life support for three weeks.

Slaton was seen in Indiana last month walking without the aid of a stroller, which she has often used in the past.

The ability to walk on her own is a huge step forward for Tammy, who once weighed 300 kilograms.

Slaton, who is from Kentucky, hit rock bottom in late 2021 when she was hospitalized because she couldn’t breathe.

At that time, she had to have a tube inserted down her throat to help her absorb oxygen.

The horrific incident prompted her to make lifestyle changes and she enrolled in an overeating program.

She also quit smoking and drinking completely.

On the final season of “1000-Lb Sisters,” Tammy met her weight-loss goal — going from 717 pounds to 534 pounds — qualifying for bariatric surgery.

She said, “I’m thrilled, proud, excited — just all the emotion.” I proved everyone wrong.

According to The Sun, Tammy’s weight loss transformation has also helped her find new love.

She is reportedly dating 25-year-old Greg Morgan weeks after it was announced she had split from husband Caleb Willingham.

Slaton reportedly met her new boyfriend through a dating app. A source told the outlet that they ” hit it off straight away” and “have been seeing each other for about a month now.”

“He came to her a couple of times. “He’s taking a six-hour bus from Indianapolis to visit her in Kentucky,” the insider said.
