As the year comes to a close, we thought it would be a good idea to remind you of some of the events that took place in Quebec's artistic and cultural community over the past year.
Here are 12 forgotten news stories from 2023:
January: Rémi-Pierre Paquin denounces an unfortunate situation

The year started badly for Rémi-Pierre Paquin and his colleagues at the Irish tavern Le Trèfle in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, as while the team recharged over the holiday season, criminals attacked the front of the business.
February: Bianca Longpré angrily protests against a publication by Angela Price
Bianca Longpré did not hesitate to express her opinion after she came across a publication by Angela Price that she did not like, about her method of letting her children sleep all night without leaving their bedroom had to.
March: Jean-Thomas Jobin slams the door on “Survivor Quebec” and here's who will replace him
On his Facebook page, the comedian, who was scheduled to host the analysis show immediately after “Survivor Québec,” unexpectedly announced that he had decided to give up his duties as host because he “felt he lacked integrity.”
April: Émily Bégin gets her first role on television
In an interview on our pages, the singer revealed that at the age of 41, she was preparing to take on an acting challenge for the first time in her life by landing a role in the series FEM.
May: Simon-Olivier Fecteau reveals a “before and after” of his impressive physical transformation
Simon-Olivier Fecteau was very proud to reveal the fruits of his recent efforts on social networks by sharing two juxtaposed photos showing him in September 2022 and May 2023: more than 35 books distinguish them.
June: Jean-Marc Parent's car “sank” in the rain and he had to swim with snakes to get out
When the comedian was caught in a massive storm that brought phenomenal amounts of rain, he saw his car fill with water and had to escape by swimming…through snakes!
July: Mariana Mazza wows in a costume worthy of Beyoncé
Mariana Mazza is known for being bold when it comes to her clothes, but this time she really outdid herself: a crystal-encrusted one-piece ensemble, complete with matching glasses and white cowboy boots. Wow!
August: Martin Juneau leaves the restaurant industry “for a while”
“I have decided to give up the restaurant business for a while and not to renew the Pastaga lease. I am currently focused on my new role as Executive Chef of Ready-to-Eat Solutions at Metro Grocers. I continue to develop recipes for them. So I stay in the food industry and I really enjoy it. “Right now I don’t plan on opening new restaurants for several years,” Martin Juneau told us in an interview.
September: Maripier Morin lands a role in this popular series

Four years after his debut in the series “The Fault,” Maripier Morin continues his path in gaming by landing a role in the popular Quebec series “À coeur bandeloque.” We'll be able to see it once the holidays return.
October: Sébastien Benoit receives an invitation that he has been waiting for for a long time

For his 20 years in radio at Rythme FM, presenter Sébastien Benoit was presented on September 21st with a flood of tributes from his friends and colleagues, and also with quite a surprise when France Beaudoin personally announced to him his participation in the show En direct de l 'universal!
November: Neighbors for 8 years, Marie-Claude Savard and this actress have become good friends
