Nick and Aaron Carter's sister, Bobbie Jean Carter, passed away this Saturday morning (23) at the age of 41. The family confirmed the sad news to TMZ and expressed regret for what happened. Her mother, Jane Carter, expressed concern about her daughter's departure 13 months after Aaron's death. The cause has not yet been disclosed.
“I am shocked to learn of the sudden death of my daughter Bobbie Jean. I will need time to process the terrible reality that this is happening for the third time. When I can think clearly, I will publish a more comprehensive statement. But until then, I ask that you remain in private mourning,” Jane said to the vehicle.
She then asked for prayers for her granddaughter Bella, Bobbie's daughter. “No matter how deeply a mother feels the loss of a child, the suffering of a small child at the loss of a mother must be much greater. “So I ask you to say a prayer for my precious eightyearold granddaughter Bella, who has already lost her father and is now without her mother,” Ms. Carter added.
The death of BJ, as he was known to those closest to him, marks another tragedy in the Carter family. Last year, Aaron died from drowning caused by consuming toxic substances. Previously, in 2012, they said goodbye to their 25yearold sister Leslie after a drug overdose.

Bobbie Jean suffered from addiction and substance abuse over the years, which was shown on television and which she struggled with into adulthood. According to TMZ, she has also had legal problems, with arrests documented this year. In June, Bobbie was arrested for drug possession after he was caught stealing from a store. The case took place in Florida in the United States.
Nick and Aaron's sister stole some stickers from a bar. The material was worth just over US$55 (R$267 at the current price). At the time, she had medications on her person, including fentanyl. Bobbie was charged with retail theft and possession of the substance, failed to make bail and served time in custody.
BJ was in the family music business at the height of her brothers' careers, Nick was a solo singer with the group Backstreet Boys and Aaron's. She worked more extensively with Aaron, serving as a stylist and makeup artist on tours in the early 2000s. Additionally, Bobbie also participated in the reality show “House Of Carters,” a show that showcased her daily life.
Sister says goodbye
This Sunday (24), Angel Carter said goodbye to Bobbie Jean in an emotional post with photos of her sister as a child. “For my big sister Bobbie. You had a great sense of humor and a lively spirit. Growing up, I was your baby and you were my best friend,” he recalls.
“Life hasn’t been fair to you, I know that. Sometimes it felt like you didn't have the options, no matter what the options were. It is extremely important for children to experience innocence rather than being burdened by trauma, pain and suffering, especially at such a young age,” he continued. “I love you BJ, you’re free now,” Angel concluded.
