More than five million people in Canada experienced some type of mental health disorder in 2022 and this number increased the problem in the country.
According to the state statistics agency, the proportion of people aged 15 and over with generalized anxiety has doubled in the last decade.
The analysis also found similar results in people with more severe depressive episodes, especially in the last 12 months.
To obtain these records, the facility used data from the Mental Health and Health Care Access Survey.
